    First of all: NO ONE is required to read any of this. You can perfectly fine join the missions without ever opening this whole sub-forum!🙂👍

     

    Now that this is out of the way: Though, if you are interested in the lore of the campaign or if you are planning on SLing in the missions and want to give yourself an edge by knowing things like:

    • Lore information📖
    • Information about the enemy (equipment, capabilities, how will he react to what, etc.)🔫
    • Standard procedures (e.g. ROE, Actions on Halts, Lost Marine Plan, etc.)📑
    • The Comms Plan, etc.📻
    • Maps of the country🗺️
    • etc.🧐👾🤠👻🐢
    • (you can also open this on your PC at work and it will look like you're reading something very important while you can actually just have a break😴👨‍💻)
    • (It also looks nice🤩)

    Then the documents in here will be worth to read for you, as they contain all of the above and more!🔖

    (I switched to uploading PDFs now because 1.) the pre-typing and formatting it in Word and then copy&pasting it into the forums was more than clunky already and 2.) I switched everything from Word to Latex anyways because Word is just...Word... Meaning I cannot really copy&paste anymore as that is not working in a good looking way from PDFs which are directly generated by Latex.)

     

     

    Now to start things off, I give you the Base Order:

    The Base Order features everything in detail and will, as the name suggests, be the Base to reference for the Orders of the individual missions.

    Because whenever a new mission is annouced I will be posting a complemantary Fragmentary Order that will be based on, guess what, this Base Order.🙌 These Frag-Os will display all the changes from the Base Order (and therefore will be a lot shorter as the standard procedures, etc. rarely change) and already contain a full plan for the mission. So it is certainly worth a read if you want to know what we'll be up against and which squad will do what, etc.😉 Also, you will be perfectly capable of understanding the plan, etc. for a respective mission by only reading the Frag-O and never having read the Base Order...you'll just not know the unchanged standard procedures, etc. but for that you can perfectly fine just rely on your superior telling you what do to🤷‍♂️

     

     

    And as the first mission is starting soon (16.01.2021) already, here you also have the Frag-O (already featuring a plan, etc. as promised😌) for it:

    So we‘re attacking Taris, to search for a VIP, huh?

    Guess we‘re with Malak then but I sure hope we’ll find the VIP fast enough... Heard rumors Malak will just bombard Taris into oblivion if our search takes too long. And that he doesn’t care about friendly fire. One would really need something fast like the Ebon Hawk to get out of there in that case.🤔 Long Live the Sith!

    Also do note that we have switched the MSO to TFAR as well to make it in this regard consistent with AWE (when this has switched as well). So no more changing plug-ins and reconfigurating controls, etc!🙂

     

    Edit because of reactions to this post: Not sure why one would be "sad" about this. We used TFAR on the MSO until 2019 and it worked exactly as fine as ACRE did the last two years and even better sometimes (remember radio ranges being broken in MSO OP Talon in 2019 for example). And if you're still sad then see it as if we're now continuing the story of the USMC Al Rayak invasion from 2017 (MSO OP Hrafnagud) in which we used TFAR back then and therefore we have another consistency reason to use it again.😉

    Though you most likely won't catch me on Altis on EU1 as I tend to play on our modded servers, which I can really recommend to you if are looking for even more teamplay. For that we have our 24/7 modded server AWE as well as our Gamenight only modded Multi Operation Session Server! Other than that we do host a squad server as well if you're looking for an Ama-Like good PvP experience.

    Maybe as a solution that I see other Zeuses using: Either if you see this happening just tone down the enemies skill making them easier to kill and giving the squad a chance to escape the loop. But if you don't want that or it is already too late for this, then if there is long downtime for only a certain squad (like the 30+ min for C/D at the cave entrance) and you cannot really move them at this moment, just spawn them some enemies in the vicinity (just make sure via Zeus that they do not create a further delay but instead are just serving as a distraction). This way you can also heavily punish people letting their guard down reminding everyone they are still on hostile territory (@kennychr for example excels at this with enemy snipers...also this gives the Zeus some fun times shooting at things)

    I think this is generally a good skill to have as Zeus as Operations often do not go according to planning but you then still must ensure that people enjoy your OP. So having a backup plan or so for situations like these is always nice. And if you only spawn one or two squads it wont hurt FPS at all.

    Is anyone else in this community playing Star Wars: Squadrons?🌟

    • If no, enlist now because your empire needs you, pilot! Also I played it for about 66 hours and can absolutely recommend it.😍 At the beginning it may take a bit of time to get used to the controls but you can tweak all of them and change sensitivity, dead-zone, etc. to your liking. Furthermore, the story serves as a great and entertaining tutorial (just dont listen to the optional pre-flight-dialoges with your wingmates because they are rather cringy) with a very nice length.🙂

    Removed the screenshots as the issue is solved to free up upload space.

    here is another one from this very topic. The issue is independant of the used background and gets toggled by dark/light-mode.

    Easy fix would be to disable light or dark-mode for compatibility...

    The issue seems to be related to the usage of the light theme. So no it is not on your end (though as workaround you can switch to darkmode if you want to access the post).

     

    I am hoping for a fix as well and made @GhostDragon aware of the issue already a couple of weeks back but it is hard to reproduce as it occurs rather inconsitent (and it is a rather minor bug). Also it behaves rather weird sometimes as sometimes topics that formerly threw the error when tried to open with light theme do not throw errors anymore after switching to dark mode, opening it, switching back to light mode and opening it again.
