  1. As the title says, this guide will teach you how to issue an order according to NATO-standards.

Note: No one expects you to know these things but it might be benefitial for understanding them and is certainly benefitial if you're any kind of leader and want to order your men to perform any task as the format doesn't change whether you are a general or a TL.

Therefore the linked PDF down below provides:

    • A guide on how to write an Order
    • The differences between Orders
    • Explanations of different Tactical Control Measures (TCMs)
    • A Layout example for an Order

    Guide: Order Guide.pdf

Furthermore I provide a the layout example as word-document that can be used to write Orders there and then copy & paste them to the forums as the text-editing-capabilities of the forum are a bit lackluster but mostly capable of keeping the word-editing. (Everything written in Italics will obviously be replaced by information.)

    Word layout: OPORDER.docx

Filled examples can be found in the current and previous operations section of the MSO-subforum as well as in the linked USMC documents.

  2. Alright, seeing as some people are interested, I was planning on doing a respective event on the next Thursday (20.08.2020) at 17:00 UTC (Calendar-event will be up shortly).😊

As we have a BF3:BF4 ratio of 6:7, we will start off with BF4 (sorry Karate).

  3. Just now, Karate Pyjamas said:

I'm an absolute idiot and I missread it as Battlefield-type GN. Which I don't think would work in ArmA with vehicles and shizz. But if it's actual BF then I guess yah. I don't own BF4 though.

Alright, so I assume in the first question one of the No votes is a Yes vote then and in the second question one of the no votes is a BF3-vote?

  4. After yesterdays session of Rush in Arma I remembered how much I loved this mode in Battlefield and to be honest think that I enjoyed it there more. Therefore, I was thinking about hosting a Battlefield Rush Gamenight if people would like that.

  5. FRAGMENTARY ORDER 08082020
Reference BASE ORDER for Operation Chingados.

    Spoiler

    ORIENTATION:
We are currently located at the Main Operations Base / 040004. The Area of Operation is the E region of Tembelan with the boundaries of our AO being as follows: To the north – the Khayali River, to the east – the Gulf of Mexico, to the south – the Gulf of Mexico and to the west – the Gulf of Mexico.

During our failed tracking of the courier that lead to a hostage situation, which we could resolve however, we had to learn the hard way that the cartel has infiltrated the local police even more than we assumed. Therefore, we must shift our Main Operations Base immediately, even though we are still consolidating and 1-1s Sarge got hit so bad that he is unavailable for duty at the moment, but we suspect that our current location might not be secure anymore.

    No further changes.

    1.      SITUATION:

    a.       Enemy Forces: No changes.

    b.      Friendly Forces:
Higher: Darkstar is located at the Main Operations Base at grid 040004 and is commanding Helios operation to gather evidence and disrupt the enemy operation.

    2.      MISSION: Today, we are to shift our Main Operations Base to the Tembelan International Airport, as we suspect that our current location might have been compromised. We are then to stand by for further tasking.

    3.      EXECUTION:

    a.       Commanders Intent:
Purpose: To shift the Main Operations Base to an uncompromised location and achieve an operations ready state at that location.

Method: We will gear up, conduct gear as well as vehicle checks and move to the new location for the Main Operations Base at Tembelan International Airport. We will then stand by for further tasking after setting up the new Main Operations Base.

End state: We shifted the location of the Main Operations Base and achieved an operations ready state.

In the case that we find any intel that allows us to further operate off, refer to Commanders Intent of the Base Order (3.a.)

    b.      Concept of operations:
Scheme of Maneuver: The Operation will be conducted by 2 Squads commanded by Darkstar. The 1st Squad will be leading the operations in the field and the 2nd Squad will be supporting the 1st Squad in their task.

    c.       Tasks: No changes.

    d.      Coordinating instructions:
    Planning and Execution Timeline:
TBD: Squads gear up and conduct gear, vehicle and communication checks
TBD+15 min: Squads achieved operations-ready state and get briefed
TBD+25 min: Squads leave the MOB

    Route: TBD.

    No further changes.

    4.      ADMINISTRATION AND LOGISTICS: No changes.

    5.      COMMAND AND SIGNAL: No changes.

  6. For people who don't know ACRE yet and want to know more about it before voting I can recommend their website as it not only contains basic guides (how to start/how it works) but also guides for all of their radios (with pictures)!

And for anyone already interested in how the new ranges would be:

    Spoiler

    grafik.png.23151e7008ea1e9b57f35822cd0527ca.png

where the 343 is the basic rifleman radio, the 152 (BLUFOR) or 148 (Independant/OPFOR) is usually the SL radio and the 117F is usually the RTO-LR radio.

Also I could write a rather detailed guide for the different radios as I already read through their documentation, but I don‘t know if that is actually needed considering the quality of said documentation.

    Now there's a name I haven't seen for a while. Welcome back!

    😉

Jokes aside, welcome back! Make sure to check out the MSO.👍 We're taking a small break right now but the next session should be next week on saturday.

  8. Best wishes from me as well.
Maybe end the respective calender event then for the PMC ops for the time being (Manage Event->Edit Details->repeats->Ends on 17.07.2020) as the events-calender is pretty much useless if not accurate and reliable. If Midnight is unavailable someone from the Admin or CS team could do that as well I presume.

JTAC handles air traffic and can supplement comms.

Maybe change "JTAC" to "RTO" or better "Signaller" (at least that seems to be what the russians call them as well), as JTACs don't really handle transport-helicopters and such.

  10. FRAGMENTARY ORDER 18072020
Reference BASE ORDER for Operation Chingados.

    Spoiler

    ORIENTATION:
We are currently located at the Main Operations Base / 040004. The Area of Operation is the SE-E region of Tembelan with the boundaries of our AO being as follows: To the north – the Khayali River, to the east – Parit, to the south – the Gulf of Mexico and to the west – the Gulf of Mexico (see Attachment 1).

The interrogation of our former landlord itself unfortunately didn’t got us any new intel as he was shot by a Los Zetas sniper during the meeting in a botched attempt to kill Helios-1-1-SL. Though after aggressively pushing back the ambush to FOB Tinngi and then to Tambang dua, we there discovered a tunnel-system that the cartel apparently used as storage for drugs and weapons as well as interrogation-room. In there we managed to secure various intel-items that now lead us to a courier who is directly working for a middle-tier-Los Zetas cartel leader.

    No further changes.

    1.      SITUATION:

    a.       Enemy Forces: No changes.

    b.      Friendly Forces:
Higher: Darkstar is located at the Main Operations Base at grid 040004 and is commanding Helios operation to gather evidence and disrupt the enemy operation.

    2.      MISSION: Today, we are to locate a courier around the industry complex of Ekspor, who is directly working for a middle-tier Los Zetas cartel leader. We are then to follow him until he makes contact with the leader and arrest them for interrogation, to get a better insight of the cartels structure and operations as well as to strike our first significant blow against their operations.

    3.      EXECUTION:

    a.       Commanders Intent:
Purpose: To get a better understanding and disrupt the operations of the Los Zetas cartel.

Method: We will gear up, conduct gear as well as vehicle checks and move to the industry complex of Ekspor. We will then try to locate the courier and follow him undetected. When he makes contact with the leader we are looking for, we will arrest them and return them to Darkstar.

End state: We arrested a leader of the Los Zetas, obtained new intel and disrupted their operations.

We will stage with the designated vehicles at Starting Point 1 (SP1) in the designated convoy order and move to Check Point 1 (CP1). There we will turn right and follow the road past Check Point 2 (CP2) and Check Point 3 (CP3). At Release Point 1 (RP1) the 2nd Squad will hold and have one team move into the northern part of Objective Echo (OBJ Echo) to scout for the courier. Meanwhile the 1st Squad will proceed to Release Point 2 (RP2). The 2nd Squad will then hold there and have one team move into the southern part of Objective Echo (OBJ Echo) to scout for the courier. (See Attachment 1)

As US involvement was still unknown to the Los Zetas, they retaliated for the attack on Embun Beku by attacking a FOB of the local Police. Unfortunately, we arrived too late and could only confirm that the FOB had been overrun. Though we managed to push back further arriving forces of the Los Zetas and got word of a nearby safehouse from which they presumably staged their attack. Upon investigating we found clues referring to a priest in the town of Segi Tiga to act as a middleman for the cartel. Further investigations strengthened this and even though our questioning was subtle, the priest left abruptly and presumably alerted cartel forces who unsuccessfully ambushed us.
Today we finally got time to investigate on why the landlord of our former MOB had us moved out.

    No further changes.

    2.      MISSION: Today, we are to move to the village of Garasi to investigate on why the landlord of our former MOB had us moved out, to get a better understanding of the situation regarding the influence of the Los Zetas Cartel.

    3.      EXECUTION:

    a.       Commanders Intent:
Purpose: To get a better understanding of the influence of the Los Zetas.

Method: We will gear up, conduct gear as well as vehicle checks, move to our former MOB and question our former landlord (see Attachment 2).

The remainder of the convoy will continue towards Release Point 2 (RP 2), where another team will be released and continue towards Battle Position 2, where they will set up a hasty defensive position with a roadblock facing north. The other team will instead turn left and move to Objective Mike (Obj. Mike). They will there park their vehicle accordingly to prevent other vehicles from leaving the estate and question the landlord (See Attachment 2). (See Attachment 1)

  13. BASE ORDER for Operation Chingados is up: https://forums.ahoyworld.net/topic/16267-campaign-seven-tembelan-operation-chingados/

FRAGMENTARY ORDER 27062020 for this saturday is up: https://forums.ahoyworld.net/topic/16267-campaign-seven-tembelan-operation-chingados/?do=findComment&comment=206014

The Base Order is the Order for the whole Campaign.
It therefore contains all the information about the AO, the enemy forces, our forces, the mission, ROE, procedures for convoys, lost agents, no comms, the callsigns, the COC, etc. So everything that is important. It is not mandatory to read it but highly advised for everyone who wants to lead not only because of the intel but especially because of the standard procedures! For everyone else I would also strongly suggest to give it a quick read to familiarize yourself as well with the standard procedures (e.g. what to do if your radio breaks or you get seperated from the rest, etc.)👍

The Fragmentary Order is the Order for the respective session.

It therefore builds on the Base Order by just updating information whereever something has changed like what is the daily mission, how will it be executed, etc. This means that the Orders for the sessions can be much shorter than last campaign!⏰ It is also not mandatory to read, but as before should be read by anyone who wants to lead to familiarize yourself with the upcoming plan not only because of the intel but also because it allows us to get faster out of base. For everyone else it obviously also provides a good overview over what is about to happen.🙂

  15. BASE ORDER for Operation Chingados

    ORIENTATION:
The area of interest is the Island of Tembelan in the Gulf of Mexico (See attachment 1). Key areas in the AO are the city of Bagain / 015055, the Bawah Naval Base / 038008, the Besar Airbase / 017048, the city of Dicuri Rusak / 071040, the mining complex of Ekspor / 062048, the town of Gereja / 058055, the Hijau Solar- and Windfarm / 041004, the city of Ikan Kota / 024081 with the Hijau Military Substation, the town of Kumuh Persegi / 091052 with the international Airport and the Communication Base, the city of Lapagan Futsal / 053063 with its port and industrial complexes, the city of Parit / 074047, the Pengolahan Industrial complex / 054035, the town of Segi Tiga / 046027, the Selatan Airbase / 046014 that is used by the Mexican Police and the Tepi Pantai Resort / 032034 with its Airstrip.

This is a joint DEA, FEADS and CIA operation to destroy the violent Los Zetas Cartel that has taken over the island to use it as a base for their sex, drug and gun trafficking operation.

The local populace has been forced to cooperate with the Los Zetas Cartel as criminal workforce and lost their trust in state agencies due to not receiving any help because of a lack of will to resolve the situation from the side of the government as well as from the side of the local, partially corrupt, police.

The terrain is lush and ranges from mountains to flatlands and the island is quite populated with the afore mentioned large cities as well as several other small towns and villages. The weather is mostly sunny and warm and is not expected to impact our capabilities in any way.

    SITUATION:

    a.       Enemy Forces:
Composition, Disposition and Strength: The cartel forces in the region are estimated to consist of well-trained militia in groups ranging from a pair up to 12-man teams. They are equipped with various weapon platforms, static weapons, light vehicles, limited communication assets and have the ability to call for an adjust 82 mm mortars. They further appear to wear civilian clothing and worn off woodland camo.

Capabilities and Limitations: The cartel forces within the AO appear to have the massed combat power to defend key terrain. The cartel forces will have limited capability to reinforce quickly. Due to limited numbers the cartel forces are unlikely to attack without a tactical advantage. They can conduct a withdrawal from their established positions to conduct link-up with other elements of the cartel. They can and will delay our forces in the area.

EMLCOA: On contact the cartel forces will initially try to delay our forces to set up defences and reinforce their position. They will further continue to engage DEA forces until they lose the tactical advantage. They will then start to destroy evidence and withdraw.

    b.      Friendly Forces:
Higher: Darkstar is located at the Main Operations Base / 050034 and is commanding Helios operations to gather evidence and disrupt the enemy operation.

    2.      MISSION: Our Mission is to destroy the sex, drug and weapon trafficking operations of the Los Zetas Cartel on the Mexican Island of Tembelan, because they are using it as a base to stage their shipments headed for the US.

    3.      EXECUTION:

    a.       Commanders Intent:
Purpose: To destroy the cartels operations, hinder their influence in the region and retrieve as much evidence as we can.

Method: The enemies centre of gravity is his small size and maneuverability, thus increasing their ability to conceal their movement and reacting quickly to evolving events. The enemies critical vulnerability is their lack of equipment and training and their dependence on the cell-phone net to communicate. We will exploit this by shutting down the cell-phone net, aggressively patrolling to locate, isolate and systematically disrupt cartel operations and confiscate contraband within our AO.

End state: The desired end state is, that the Los Zetas Cartel operations are stopped, so that the Mexican police can regain control over the region.

    b.      Concept of operations:
Scheme of Maneuver: The Operation will be conducted by 2 Squads commanded by Darkstar. The 1st Squad will be leading the operations in the field and the 2nd Squad will be supporting the 1st Squad in their task.

    c.       Tasks:
Helios-1-1: Will act as 1st Squad.

Helios-1-2: Will act as 2nd Squad.

    d.      Coordinating instructions:
    ROE: Return fire only.

Organization for Movement: Convoy order, including any escorts, will be as follows: Helios-1-1, escorts, Helios-1-2 (from front to back). Convoy speeds will be according to street signs.

Actions at Rally Points and Halts: All units will conduct a dismount with the units in the front vehicle setting up 180° security facing in the convoy driving direction and the units in the rear vehicle setting up 180° security facing backwards.

Actions on enemy contact: While convoying all contact is to be broken unless advised different from Darkstar or Helios-1-1-SL. When breaking contact the formation is to be kept if possible and all speed limits can be disregarded. If a vehicle gets damaged to an extend that it cannot effectively break contact, the convoy will stop and answer the contact with immediate assault.

No Comm Plan: When losing any SR communications (AN/PRC-343) or any LR communications (AN/PRC-152) between SLs and Darkstar at any point, the operation is to be continued out as briefed.
Upon losing any LR communications (AN/PRC-152) between SLs at any point, the operation is to be continued out as briefed. Leaders should try to regain communications between them by switching their AN/PRC-343s to block 1, channel 1. Even if this is to no avail, the radios should be kept on this channel in case the SR communications can be restored at a later point.

Lost Agent Plan: The lost Agent will try to regain communications and, if not advised other, return to the last identified TCM and wait there for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes have passed OR the last TCM cannot be identified OR the last TCM is not a feasible location to reach (e.g. due to distance, enemy contact, etc.), the lost Agent will move to the last known friendly position. If after 20 minutes no friendly units can be located there, the lost Agent will try to make his way back to base.

    4.      ADMINISTRATION AND LOGISTICS:

    a.       Administration:
Casualties: A Local Doctor is at the Main Operations Base. Squad Medics will be deployed with Helios-1-1 and Helios-1-2. All casualties treated/processed/reported by the Squads with self-aid and buddy aid and proper CASREPs to the CO.

All Prisoners: Will be immediately communicated to the CO and searched. Darkstar will advise further.

    b.      Logistics:
Gear will be distributed. Supplies and designated vehicles are available at the Main Operations Base. Coordinate with higher up for needed gear and logistical requests. All logistics will be handled prior to departure from the Main Operations Base.

  17. Could you please remove the need for Calender events to be approved by staff?

It is not a big thing but it is a bit annoying and especially so if the event is already on the next day or so (for example the event I created for Kennys GN today never got approval because everyone overlooked it probably and Kenny forgot about doing it). Also I don't see a reason why calender events must be approved but other posts on the forums not.

  18. FRAG-O for saturday (30.05.2020) is up:

    Lore:

The patrol went even worse than we thought. Sure we knew there had to be trouble out there when we got asked by ARES-1 to assist them but no one expected this! Not enough that the region wasn't secured one bit but the Loyalists even openly attacked ARES-1 HQ and devasted the platoon. One of their squads was lucky to be out on patrol and we managed to MEDEVAC a heavily wounded soldier but that is now all that is remaining of ARES-1. Therefore, ARES Company HQ deemed them combat ineffective and is treating them back at the airfield. For us that means that we have to continue our patrol south without them to back us up if the need arises but nevertheless our platoons morale is still high as we are close to ending this damned civil war.

  19. FRAGMENTARY ORDER 30052020
    Reference OPERATIONS ORDER 23052020.

    Spoiler

    ORIENTATION:
We are currently located at ARES-1 HQ / 174131. The area of interest is the SE region of Altis with the boundaries of our AO being as follows: To the north – ARES-1 HQ, to the east – Chalkeia Bay, to the south – Mazi Bay and to the west – Pyrgos Gulf (see OPERATIONS ORDER 23052020 attachment 1). Key areas in the AO are city of Pyrgos /167126 as well as the Selakano Airbase / 207072.

After witnessing a devastating attack onto ARES-1 HQ that we managed to push back we are certain that the last major Loyalist cell is still operating out of this region. To finally end this civil war, we are to push further south to secure the last part of our republic.

Terrain and Weather: The terrain is arid and consist of foothills. The area is quite populated with the afore mentioned large city of Pyrgos as well as several other small towns. The weather is mostly sunny and warm and is not expected to impact our capabilities in any way.

  20. OPORDER for today (23.05.2020) is up:

    https://forums.ahoyworld.net/topic/14389-campaign-six-altis/?do=findComment&comment=154809

    Lore:

SE. The last major region of Altis we haven't been in and ARES-1 has its hands so full that they asked us to assist with patroling the area. And what a patrol this will be! Long as hell with everything from mountainous areas to the dense urban environments of Pyrgos. So basically a dream for every guerilla and a day as usual for the soldiers of ARES-2...

  21. OPERATIONS ORDER 23052020

    Spoiler

    ORIENTATION:
We are currently located at ARES-2 HQ / 116119. The area of interest is the central to SE region of Altis with the boundaries of our AO being as follows: To the north - Rodopoli, to the east – Chalkeia Bay, to the south – Mazi Bay and to the west – Pyrgos Gulf (see attachment 1). Key areas in the AO are cities of Charkia / 180152 and Pyrgos /167126 as well as the Selakano Airbase / 207072.

To disrupt the Loyalists operations and to show the civilians that we are still in control of the situation we will conduct a patrol in the SE part of Altis.

Terrain and Weather: The terrain is arid and consist of foothills and flatlands. The area is quite populated with the afore mentioned large cities of Charkia and Pyrgos as well as several small cities. The weather is mostly sunny and warm and is not expected to impact our capabilities in any way.

    1.      SITUATION:

    a.       Enemy Forces:
Composition, Disposition and Strength: The Loyalist forces in the region are estimated to consist of well-trained militia in groups ranging from a pair up to 12-man teams. They are equipped with various weapon platforms, static weapons including AAA, armed light vehicles, limited communication assets and have the ability to call for an adjust 82 mm mortars. They further appear to wear civilian clothing and worn off woodland camo.

Capabilities and Limitations: The Loyalists within the AO appear to have the massed combat power to defend key terrain. The Loyalist forces will have limited capability to reinforce quickly. Due to limited numbers the Loyalists are unlikely to attack without a tactical advantage. They can and will delay our forces in the area.

EMLCOA: Loyalist forces inside our AO prepare for an AAF offensive by setting up IEDs and ambushes to compensate for their lacking firing power and numbers and to give them the tactical advantage. On contact the Loyalists will engage AAF forces until they lose the tactical advantage.

    b.      Friendly Forces:
Higher: ARES Company HQ is located at grid 147165 and is commanding ARES-1 and ARES-2 COIN-OPs to gather intelligence and disrupt the enemy operation until the enemy is forced to surrender.

    Adjacent:
ARES-1: Located at ARES-1 HQ / grid 174131 and is currently conducting COIN-OPs and securing the eastern region of Altis.
HEPHAESTUS: Engineer and EOD Platoon located at ARES Company HQ.

    Supporting:
ARTEMIS (CAS) General support of ARES Company at ARES Company HQ and can be reached via PL.
APOLLO (artillery) General support of ARES Company at ARES Company HQ and can be reached via PL.

    c.       Attachments and Detachments:
    Attached:
ARES-2-3 is attached since the start of Operation Hercules, added to the ARES-2 roster and has received the OPORDER.

    Detached:
ARES-2-2 is detached since the start of Operation Hercules.
Phobos-2 is detached since the start of Operation Hercules.
Phobos-3 is detached since the start of Operation Hercules.

    2.      Mission: At 0630 we are tasked to conduct a combat patrol from Charkia southwards to Selakano Airbase to disrupt the enemies operations and conduct a show of force.

    3.      Execution

    a.       Commanders Intent:
Purpose: To neutralize all insurgents within the defined AO and retrieve as much intel as we can.

Method: The enemies centre of gravity is his small size and maneuverability, thus increasing their ability to conceal their movement and set ambushes. The enemies critical vulnerability is their inability to decisively engage larger that a squad element and their need for the (forced) support of the population. We will exploit this by aggressively patrolling to locate, isolate and systematically destroy Loyalist forces and logistics supplies within our AO and conducting show of force to show the civilians that we are still in control of the situation.

End state: The desired end state is, that the area is free of hostiles and that we have gained the trust of the civilian population to prevent more people from joining the Loyalists ranks.

    b.      Concept of operations:
Scheme of Maneuver: The Operation will be conducted by three Squads and one air element. Resupplies and CASEVACs will be coordinated by PL and the 1st SL and will be realised by the air-element.
Insertion: (see attachment 1 - Patrol Route) - At 0630 we will stage with designated vehicles at PP1 facing NE in the following convoy order: 1st Squad, 2nd Squad, 3rd Squad. It is mandatory for the whole operation to stay on roads if possible, because of the high IED threat. When authorized by PL we will start heading towards CP1 where friendly lines will be left. We will then follow the road until we hit an ASR that we will follow until CP2. There we will turn right and follow the ASR towards CP3 where we will enter friendly lines again. We will then proceed towards CP4, where we will head straight on the MSR eastwards, leave friendly lines again and enter our AO.
Patrol: (see attachment 1 – Patrol Route & 2) We will then turn right at CP5 and follow the ASR and then the MSR south until we hit CP6 where we will turn left and follow the MSR towards CP7 where we will turn right towards CP8 where our patrol will end. We will then await orders to either stay there or return to base.

    c.       Tasks:
ARES-2-1: Will act as 1st Squad, and lead the patrol of the area (see attachment 1).

ARES-2-3: Will act as 2nd Squad, support ARES 2-1 in their task to patrol the area (see attachment 1).

ARES-2-4: Will act as 3rd Squad, support ARES 2-1 in their task patrol the area and provide fire-support for the operation within the defined AO (see attachment 1).

Phobos-1: Provide transport, casualty evacuation when needed as well as recon and CAS when needed (see attachment 1).

The detail planning will be left up to the individual squad leaders. If the need arises to divert, orders will come over radio.

    d.      Coordinating instructions:
    Planning and Execution Timeline:
0625: Plt gear checks are to be done at ARES-2 HQ
    0630: Plt staged at PP1
    0630: Plt operation begins

ROE: Return fire only. Any civilian crowds are to be dispersed and any civilians that are not complying are to be warned. If they still will not comply a warning shot is to be fired and if they still will not comply, they can be disbursed by force. If they will continue to not comply, they can be seen as hostile and be neutralized.

    Route: See attachment 1.

Go/No Go Criteria: If the Platoon is split due to contact or lost soldier(s), they will utilize their lost soldier plan to bring the platoon back together. NO GO/Abort is if 1) No unit leaders are present, OR 2) No radio is present. Return to friendly lines.

Organization for Movement: Convoy order will be as follows: ARES-2-1, ARES-2-3, ARES-2-4 (from front to back). Convoy speeds will be as follows: MSRs – 70 km/h, ASRs – 50 km/h, urban areas – 30 km/h.

Departure/Re-entry of Friendly Lines: PL is to be contacted and will coordinate with ARES Company HQ.

Actions at Rally Points and Halts: All units will conduct a soft dismount with ARES-2-1 and ARES-2-3 setting up 180° security facing in the convoy driving direction and ARES-2-4 setting up 180° security facing backwards.

Actions on enemy contact: While convoying contact is to be broken until CP4.
When breaking contact the formation is to be kept if possible and all speed limits can be disregarded. After CP4, contact is to be answered with immediate assault. When returning to base all contact is to be broken again.

No Comm Plan: When losing any SR communications (AN/PRC-343) or any LR communications (AN/PRC-148) between SLs and PL at any point, the operation is to be continued out as briefed.
Upon losing any LR communications (AN/PRC-148) between SLs at any point, the operation is to be continued out as briefed. Leaders should try to regain communications between them by switching their AN/PRC-343s to block 1, channel 1.

Lost Soldier Plan: The lost soldier will try to regain communications and, if not advised other, return to the last identified TCM and wait there for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes have passed the lost marine will move to the nearest known friendly position.

    4.      Administration and logistics

    a.       Administration:

All casualties treated/processed/reported by the patrol with self-aid and buddy aid and proper CASREPs to the CO. For an urgent/priority medevac, the PL will be contacted via radio and coordinate time and location for casevac. Patrol’s treat/handle all routine casualties.

All EPWs: Will be immediately communicated to the CO and searched. PL will advise further.

    b.      Logistics:
Everyone will move with their designated combat gear. Supplies and designated vehicles as well as helicopters for transport are available at ARES-2 HQ. Coordinate with higher up for needed gear and logistical requests. All logistics will be handled prior to departure from ARES-2 HQ.

Thought it worked in UTC and not local time...

It always works in local time unless you manually set it to something else because the idea behind it is, that it automatically translates the event-time to the timezone the viewer is in so he doesn't have to look up any time-conversions.

Edit: And because of this it also sets itself to your timezone when you create an event and expects the startingtime given in your timezone instead of gmt+0.
