Obviously I haven't played on EU1 in a long time, though I think it is a good idea to lower the sway if it is impacting players. I think so because recently I played Arma with someone brand new to it, who really struggled with the sway, etc. which somewhat hindered the enjoyment. Further, in my opinion EU1 should be a server that provides a fun experience for all players and especially those who are brand new to arma and are looking for an enjoyable non-modded experience. At least this is how I got into Coop-Arma and I really liked the way that EU1 provided a fun experience without having to worry too much about the game-mechanics at first (e.g. stamina was completely disabled). This meant that you could just focus on the gameplay and then refine it when getting used to the mechanics over time, but didn't had to overcome a learning/skill-gap to start having fun (e.g. because you cannot hit anything due to sway and so far you haven't gotten a feeling for what will cause how much of it, etc.) Keep it civil, there is no reason to be insulting or use faul language.

Not sure if intended, but they are always in dark mode (i.e. white text on dark background). This might be a copy&paste issue again if it is intended to mimic the dark/light setting of the user. Nice addition though!

I generally agree, but if it is not forbidden it is allowed. And I am a big fan of enforcing the rules exactly as written. Not any more, not any less.

If that would be advertising, it would be advertising as well if you're on an AW server with a non AW XML/Tag, which clearly isn't recruiting (enforced by the fact that if it were recruiting, then AW would actually promote that themselves as there are rules in the XML-post outlining that you should behave well when using the AW XML on foreign servers = you are not discouraged to use the AW XML elsewhere).

Personally I agree, which is, in combination with time constrains, why I stepped down as a FA. However this is not a rule, hence you cannot ask this of people. Because if it isn't forbidden, you cannot punish people for it...And that comes from the guy who has "Stick to the rules!" as his AW-XML-remark.

This itn't true. From those medal, which all of us don't posess, you don't get any priviliges. It is just purely cosmetic on your profile-page (kind of like Steam-badges). Zeus priviliges only exist for those that host a mission as Zeus in that very mission and permanently for the two highest staff members as to sort out broken stuff. Admin priviliges are granted based on Leadership and if you're generally helping out. Other than that, I feared a ranty text again when I read the first lines of your text but am gladfull you proved me wrong, so thanks for keeping your texts civil! I tend to call out people if they are too rude and this time it's you @MidnightRunner. It doesn't matter how frustrating something is, stay polite in public channels.

The community in question of this incident doesn't really reward you for such things. You can only get a "medal" on your website-profile (which no ones lookes at anyways because the profiles only serve to slot for missions and track training progress and everything social runs via discord). The community in question doesn't do this actively. I have been asked multiple times if my other community (AW) is fine with multi-community-members. I, as well as others, also informed AW Staff about playing there. I even informed CS about how everyone of us found out about that community and when he joined, and the response I got was that it is fine as they never actively recruited us. We're literally just a bunch of friends who play there as well. Obviously we are there because of each other, like I for example told Sack, Jochem and Jasman about the community and they joined. I don't think that is recruitment of players off from AW though because sure we know each other from AW but I didn't just randomly messaged people via the AW discord but e.g. told them to check the community out during an online-party I did...so something completely unrelated to AW and I don't think there is anything wrong with that. EDIT: Also their "recruited by" remark on their profiles isn't anything that is verified. When applying to their community you can just select whoever you want. And unfortunately this whole thing originated out of a new applicant, who plays at AW as well, just selecting the first name he recognized even though he wasn't actually "recruited" by him. Also to get onto: I have no idea why they stepped down as well, but does it matter really if they felt it was just or unjust? I don't think so, as there are rules and if something isn't against the rules, then you cannot just call the suspect guilty anyways because a part of the staff feel like it. Those decisions should never be made due to any community imput but solely based on the rules. That is literally the reason why no one, who isn't involved, is allowed to comment under ban-appeals.

I was told to ping AW Admins (Moderators don't have the needed permissions) in the respective Discord channel to get that sorted. That usually made sure that events would instantly go live

Carefull when copy pasting, etc. as otherwise dark/light-mode tend to conflict. To be on the safe side always type the text directly in the forums instead or when pasting it, don't keep the previous formatting, if he gives you the option, as otherwise it looks like this (i.e. little to absolutely no contrast (like for the Objectives))

Technically you can make it correct if you just turn the map-tool to 180°. The numbers for the horizontal axis are upside down then but the gridding correct again. And as we figured out earlier that there are maps with weird axis: If both axis are inverted the gridding is correct when the map tool is turned to 0°, if only one of the map axis is inverted, you can turn the map-tool to either 270° to accomodate for an inverted vertical axis or to 90° to accomodate for an inverted horizontal axis.

Do note that there are Arma maps that for example have a flipped vertical Axis, i.e. (000,000) is the top left instead of the bottom left (e.g. Sahrani once you zoom into 6-figures). In these cases you obviously have to change the vertical axis orientation of your 8-figures as well, as they're refining the overall map-gridding and are therefore dependant on its orientation. The Numpad or Keypad however stay the same, as they're not actually dependant on the overal gridding, since they're based on your keyboard or telephone and that looks the same no matter what map you're looking at.
