    If something is enough of an issue for it to negatively impact a player's enjoyment, then it is down to that player to raise said issue with a member of the staff team. Failing to raise an issue with a staff team member would insinuate to me that it is therefore not enough of an issue for the person to go out of their way to attempt to rectify.
    If the player is unwilling to put the effort to connect to teamspeak, or message an admin directly then that speaks volumes to me.

    Spartan's are not staff - they are ambassadors. There are always staff around; shouting 'admin' in game does not necessarily qualify (to me at least) as going and finding a staff member to rectify an issue. If it is 5pm UK local, chances are an admin will see it. If it's 2pm in the afternoon then chances are a staff member won't (most of us are still at work).

    For the record; this is my personal opinion, and does not necessarily reflect the opinion of other staff members or AhoyWorld as an entity.

    Being an Admin in AhoyWorld is not about personally policing the servers.

    That's exactly why the Zeus-level players exist in the first place; to keep an eye on things on server, fix problems as needed and catch offenders when possible.

    No member of AhoyWorld gets a paycheck for their work.

    Admins have other tasks and often better things to do with their time.

    I believe this has been done before on early versions of I&A2 but for some reason it seems they were disbanded for a reason that I am not aware of.

     I managed to dig through some of my very old screenshots and I managed to find a few!

    Of course the old billboards ( see below ) are very dated, but I am with the idea of updating these to fit in with the more - modern enhanced server.

    (The screenshots were taken at 2015-06-30) so a fairly long time ago

    I've got an i7 6700k, 16gb ram, run it on an SSD and have the 64bit, draw distance set to max, however for objects in air it is set to 5 or 6km I believe and this still happens to me occasionally.

    Unfortunately Tanoa is not as popular as we had hoped, therefore we will be reverting this back to Altis to test for a week or two.
    But fear not, Tanoa will be hosted on our EU4 server during this time: 144.76.82.169:2602

    A single 500GB SSD isn't all that much to be honest, I've got a 480GB and it was full rather fast. I installed my 1TB HDD for the smaller, less important programs or games. Don't know if you're planning on doing the same, if not, then you may find this useful.

    I found that my Arma rarely ever uses more than 2GB ram so I set it to 2047, usually sits around 1.8/1.9GB. I have 16GB ram myself but it never really peaked over 2GB for me. Sometimes it will jump up to 2.2/2.3GB but I haven't really experienced a whole lot difference.

    For those who are interested in having settings which would maximise their in-game performance with great visuals, here is a short guide for you.

    Arma 3 Launcher settings;

    Someone (don't remember who) said if you're using an i7 6700k use this command line;
    -cpuCount=4 -high -maxmem=15360 -noBenchmark -noLogs -noPause -noSplash -world=empty

    It did somewhat give me a more stable fps count and after using this command line I had less frequent memory leaks, they happen at random, sometimes after serveral hours and other times after 20-30min (don't qoute me on whether it's true or not, it just is for me).

    Ingame settings;

    After I been using these settings I gained about 20-30fps myself and mostly work with stable 60fps, however this drops to about 30-40 if the server has been up for quite some time. In Zeus I get a stable 40-50fps and after serveral hours server uptime it drops to 20-30 with a full server.

    My rig;

    These settings work for me, they may not work for you. Maximizing all my settings seem to give me the best overal performance ingame, I get less fps using the lower settings and they don't seem to be stable for me. Hope this will help some of you, if not, just keep playing with your settings and eventually you'll find the settings best suited for your rig.

    We've added Huron containers to the base, so instead of carrying explosives to blow you and your heli up, request for a repair specialist to patch up your heli and ask another pilot to take the Huron and bring you a fuel container if this is necessary. If you're good on fuel, ask them to bring the repair container so you can repair your heli if no repair specialist is available or answering.

    Not sure if the container fully repairs your heli or just a bit like repair specialists. Communicate in side chat with the rest and you wouldn't have to blow an asset and yourself up, the consequences are yours if you're being caught blowing an asset up.

    Look up what ' it's  ' relates to and if it's resolved already.

    Let me reword then, because I never say that's all they did; but one of the reasons the Spartan is there to make it more realistic, if in reality a person sits on a hill when a helicopter is up he is going to be spotted as well, so that person shouldn't do that or otherwise is making a mistake. In Arma you could sometimes get away with it as the AI is not smart enough that it could simulate real warfare.

    I'd love nature to use common sense and ask me if it could start raining just before I hopped on my bicycle in the morning.
    As I said, weather in Arma is random - having a vote on it wouldn't make sense - and to be honest I like it when it's foggy or raining once in a while, because it's something different and more challenging for a change.

    I think the fundamental issue is that players directly feel targeted when a Spartan is online, every death, every challenge that they have to face is suddenly one too much.
    Do you have a case of a Spartan improving the his own experience over the experience of others, because if it is in relevance to the weather thing, it's not like Spartans - who are also players - would not get affected by this sort of stuff.

    I believe this was resolved in I&3 (Accidentally?) with the new introduction of the medical system as it doesn't show up in chat when we kill someone through a AI.

    I do have to say though, last 4 days I've been on the server we've received a Wipeout from side missions only. It's not always Zeus spawning those, please don't point your fingers at us immediately, it's just a coincidence that they've spawned so frequent. I, myself, haven't given a Wipeout as a reward and probably never will.

    I did however, after speaking to 2 admins, spawn a Wipeout earlier today after a lying pilot had crashed the rewarded sidemission Wipeout in less than 10minutes. The pilot said he had 2000 flying hours in arma whilst after he crashed I checked his profile and only has 2 games, Insurgency and Arma 3 with a total of 28.3hours, 2 admins and I agreed on giving the guys on EU1 another chance with the Wipeout.

    Hello everyone,

    I'm proud to announce that after a lot of hard work @BACONMOP has finished I&A 3.
    I&A 3 will be the successor the the current I&A (2) that's running on the servers and has lots of different and new features such as a new medical system, the side missions now being linked to the current AO , a few "take-over-able" AO's and some nice things to do with the points you've scored playing.

    We are planning on releasing it live this Sunday (23rd) at 15:00 GMT after which it can be played on EU#1 and EU#2 on Altis and Tanoa respectively. During it's launch we hope that as many of you as possible can come on the Teamspeak 3 server and enjoy the refreshing new gameplay together.

    Before its release we would also like to make time for a community meeting specifically about I&A 3, where you can listen to how it works; but can also ask questions, which don't necessarily have to be about I&A 3; but could also be about AhoyWorld itself.
    The staff present will then try their best to answer their questions or when unclear get back to you with an answer at a later time.
    This meeting would start and half an hour in front of the launch and would be from 14:30 till 14:55. Feel free to pop in at any time, but questions asked a second time will probably not be answered again; so it would be wise to show up from the start.

    Feel free to GET HYPE down below and hopefully we will see you all this Sunday.

    With regards,
    MessedUpSmiley

    From what I was told, the objective of the Spartans is to create custom tasks and to spice up AOs if deemed appropriate.

    I'm of the opinion that the use of Zeus remote control can extend to killing players under the right circumstances, such as when a player exposes himself in a royally stupid way, and there's a medic around to get him back up. Used sparingly, it's just another tool in the box in trying to impart some human brains into the opposition.

    In the same vein, if players take advantage of the AI's "view distance", shooting them with Titan AT and AP from 3500 meters, safe from any retaliation, I'd personally have no qualms about shooting back.

    Zeus is there to enhance the experience for the players, but also to make the AI a bit smarter, more human.

    You Sir,definatly must be kidding me ...
    There s a few things to say about your reply imo:

     the Spartans are pretty new to MP well,the phrase Quality over Quantity comes to mind here - if you cannot ensure to have all your ZEUS being schooled properly on the "how to" make a proper ZEUS mission/action you maybe shouldnt let em act over hours as ZEUS without being overwatched - also a "After Action Debriefing" might come in usefull.
    Certainly i dont think a Spartan is made in 2 weeks,it takes at least a few weeks to prepare them for actions on public servers (imo).
    Its like in my job,i dont train my pupils to to be Master of Chimney Sweeping in 2 weeks and let em run alone doing MY buisness - i let them run with me for quite a time,to gain experience before i let em hunt alone for customers. I also keep in short range when they r working on their own,so in any case of "emergency" i can ASAP give assistence if needed.
    Basic point is that you need quite some time to get proper schooled ZEUS that are aware of doings and limitations in a MP enviroment.

    feel free to engage in a debate with the Spartan in question Do you really think i didnt made any effort to "inform" the ZEUS´s in action to check their actions more properly or to leave their hands out of things no one asked em for?
    Im specifically talking side missions,not any ZEUS mission i took part in and got my ass handed to myself by doing so?
    I´ve "informed" all 4 ZEUS´s in question directly about my disliking and guess what happend?
    Excatly,nothing ...

    Don't go around the person and put up a public topic proving your point and how the other person is wrong, that only escalates the situation.
    No,No,No
    I m taking this shit over the time of propably 6 weeks,this isnt the first time i felt the need to open this discussion - but i held myself back for quite some time,always in the hope this certain "attitude" would change.
    Sadly,it hasnt - therefor this topic.
    Cant take blame,dont take responsibility.

    going behind the person's back to prove your point And what point do i prove here?
    That the actings of some Spartans is quite off to their real duty?
    That AW does not school their Spartans proper?
    Or just that some "new" ZEUS never should been getting acess to the program in the first place?
    Go figure ...
