Jenkins reacted to OcUK-Timo in New to the forum but an old hand on EU1
    Hello peeps
I've been knocking about on EU1 since the early days of ArmA3 but have been playing the franchise since OpFlash, I finally decided to join the forum after a couple of incidents I was involved in earlier today.  Not being sure of the best place to ask some questions I thought I'd say hello here and see if I get any replies from those in the know.
Firstly I hope Chicken sees this as I told him this afternoon that I'd revenge killed someone which I know is not a good thing, so I'll just say that the guy in question had taken my vehicle and run me down with it when I tried stopping him, after a nice man revived me and I tried relocating, the perp then started to shoot the vehicle so I turned about and ran him down. Enough said on that.
What I am interested to know if someone can tell me is what is the score with the black screen which I got after an accidental TK later on, I've not seen that before and was surprised to see it after just 2 TKs when I see so many people doing so many more.  It was unfortunate that I was beside a factory that got demolished while I was black screened and confused which caused someone else to get a TK.  Does this always happen after 2 TKs? also how many TKs does it take for someone to get banned?
Thanks for reading this and I hope someone can offer some constructive answers.
    Cheers Timo

    Situation
Russian airborne forces (VDV) have occupied the island of Malden. We have been deployed as a task force to secure a beachhead for further operations; however, initial supplies are limited.
Resistance to the invasion is as yet undecided, since the take-over seems to have happened swiftly and softly. We must not let their favour slip away.

    Friendly forces
British Armed Forces, Combined Arms, Task Force Platoon
1x 3-man HQ (CMD, RTO, UAV)
    3x 9-man Rifle Squads
    1x 3-man Fire Support Group
    1x 3-man Vehicle Crew
    2x 2-man Air Crew
    1x 2-man Logistics

    Independent forces
    -

    Enemy forces
The Russian VDV is a highly organised, regular force suspected to have access to these assets:
    Regular infantry
    Motorised and mechanised transport
    Armour
    Rotary-wing aircraft
    Fixed-wing aircraft

Reconnaissance has identified key locations serving as radio communications facilities to sabotage or capture. Reports of quick-response Forward Operating Bases as well as supply depots around the island are also coming in.

    Mission
Gain a foothold and fortify our FOB. Capture strategic objectives. Establish favourable relations with the local populace.

    Execution
    At CMD’s discretion.
Section cohesion is of utmost importance. The enemy outnumbers us greatly and will not hesitate to exploit gaps in our situational awareness.
Counter-attacks and a general resistance to our efforts will ask for quick shifts in our tactics.

    Admin / Logistics
Reinforcements are unlimited and directed by CMD. Resupply is CMD’s prerogative.
Enemy prisoners of war (POW) are to be treated well and brought to base for questioning.

    Command / Signal
Operations and ground control lie solely with the Platoon Commander. The RTO handles air traffic and can supplement communications.
Squad leaders are responsible for the operational effectiveness of their teams.

    4. We all share the Arma experience of dropping dead out of nowhere. To make our lives and the medic's job more meaningful, the settings above should entirely disallow damage sources from instantly killing players, and instead bring death from cardiac arrest or bleeding out during cardiac arrest, the latter being especially relevant to keep realism intact when you're hit by a tank.

Cardiac arrest time is brought down to reduce black-screened idle time. This also serves to reinforce sticking together as a team, because missing somebody going down leads to a quicker death. CPR still extends it, so a quick response can save lives.

Fatal injuries for players can then occur only during cardiac arrest. This means AI cannot instakill you, but they can double-tap. You can also die if caught uncon in an explosive barrage.
A .50 cal to the head will still give you a large wound, send you uncon, then into cardiac, and you bleed out within minutes.

Fatal injuries for AI can always occur.

Lastly, with the increased length of your life, you will be a sieve sooner or later. Surgical kits will show their value there, and limiting them can feel overly punishing, so they're not consumed in this situation.

Similarly to Chapter One and Two, this new thread will be used to announce each weekly mission so that players are able to have a grasp of the situation pre-briefing if they so desire.

I also wanted to throw in a summary of my recap video (https://youtu.be/ZTyVq7owUsk) for anyone who didn't watch or understand it so that players are all on the same page come launch, although this is by no means a necessity.

Jenkins reacted to AhoyWorld in Public Statement about Harassment
AhoyWorld is made by its players. We must recognise that our actions shape the community as a whole, and affect other people in particular.

AhoyWorld is a welcoming community that respects its members and visitors. We expect everyone to maintain this environment and will take action against those who jeopardise that community spirit.

Today, we removed a player who did not recognise this. In their actions, they deeply unsettled those involved and repeatedly crossed boundaries directly set by the other party. These boundaries become our own from the moment they are laid out. Now, we are laying them bare for everyone to abide by.

We are an inclusive community where everyone is treated as equal. Standing or length of stay do not absolve a member of the community from ignoring this fact.

We will not tolerate harassment of or indiscretion towards other members of the community.

If you see somebody cross personal boundaries, your voice matters. You can always bring any concern and fear of yours to our open ears as staff and people. You can always give the person involved a poke and ask if they are alright with the goings-on; it is better to ask than to ignore.

From all of us, thank you. Take care.

@GTX_2018 I'm sorry to hear you feel that way. After spending so much time with us on Eu1, teamspeak and on EU3 I would have thought you would have a better understanding of our staff as people.

To me it seems like you are not taking responsibility for your actions. To simplify yesterday I will put in bullet point form and try to explain what happened, why it happened and why I agree it to be correct.

Firstly you offered up some inflammatory statements relating to gender for which an admin quickly corrected you and you were warned not to continue the conversation. Less than 1 hour later you were negatively commenting on a players performance which you were politely asked to stop doing, to this you responded by berating the admin likely thinking that your tenure here gave you a right to behave like this. I was in teamspeak and agreed with the admins decision to kick you at that stage. You then connected to teamspeak, where you and I spoke about it and I informed you that your behaviour was not acceptable and was not normal for you as a player. You agreed this was the case and left to re-join the server. Which I thought would be the end of the saga. Unfortunately, you then upon seeing another player be kicked decided to join that players group in an attempt to gain traction to the idea that you were the victim and that the admins had somehow overstepped their authority in kicking you. For this you were given a 30 day ban under rule 1.1.1. AhoyWorld is a welcoming community that respects its members and visitors. We expect everyone to maintain this environment and will take action against those who jeopardise that community spirit. Admins reserve the right to warn/kick/ban users whose behaviour is deemed disruptive or aggressive and not conducive to a place of tolerance/friendship/comradery. Whether the behaviour is disruptive or not will be determined on a case-by-case basis on the judgment of the admin/admins present.
With the facts laid out I will say that I would not have expected this from you as a known member of the community. I was also disappointed in how your demeanour changed when dealing with me. Why were you so dismissive of a moderator who is working hard to make the server enjoyable for all but would listen to me, the mod team should garner the same respect as a member of core Staff.

If it were me in the first instance I would have kicked you for the first comment relating to gender. The moderator choose to give you a warning as is within their discretion to do so.
To insinuate that you did not deserve to be kicked after that is to say that your behaviour as a whole cannot be used against you only specific actions, which is untrue.

Honestly, I'm just upset about the whole thing. I was glad to see you back playing and had commented a few weeks ago that I hadn't seen you and hoped you were ok. as I do with a lot of players who come and go.

To take away from this I hope that you can reflect on the encounter as a whole and learn from it.
Ahoyworld is a welcoming community and you are welcome back here in the future if you can learn and grow from this.
Many members have had a checkered past but we grow as people and as a community.

First of all: NO ONE is required to read any of this. You can perfectly fine join the missions without ever opening this whole sub-forum!🙂👍

Now that this is out of the way: Though, if you are interested in the lore of the campaign or if you are planning on SLing in the missions and want to give yourself an edge by knowing things like:
Lore information📖 Information about the enemy (equipment, capabilities, how will he react to what, etc.)🔫 Standard procedures (e.g. ROE, Actions on Halts, Lost Marine Plan, etc.)📑 The Comms Plan, etc.📻 Maps of the country🗺️ etc.🧐👾🤠👻🐢 (you can also open this on your PC at work and it will look like you're reading something very important while you can actually just have a break😴👨‍💻) (It also looks nice🤩) Then the documents in here will be worth to read for you, as they contain all of the above and more!🔖
(I switched to uploading PDFs now because 1.) the pre-typing and formatting it in Word and then copy&pasting it into the forums was more than clunky already and 2.) I switched everything from Word to Latex anyways because Word is just...Word... Meaning I cannot really copy&paste anymore as that is not working in a good looking way from PDFs which are directly generated by Latex.)

Now to start things off, I give you the Base Order:
    Base_Order_Unrelenting_Resolve.pdf

The Base Order features everything in detail and will, as the name suggests, be the Base to reference for the Orders of the individual missions.
Because whenever a new mission is annouced I will be posting a complemantary Fragmentary Order that will be based on, guess what, this Base Order.🙌 These Frag-Os will display all the changes from the Base Order (and therefore will be a lot shorter as the standard procedures, etc. rarely change) and already contain a full plan for the mission. So it is certainly worth a read if you want to know what we'll be up against and which squad will do what, etc.😉 Also, you will be perfectly capable of understanding the plan, etc. for a respective mission by only reading the Frag-O and never having read the Base Order...you'll just not know the unchanged standard procedures, etc. but for that you can perfectly fine just rely on your superior telling you what do to🤷‍♂️

And as the first mission is starting soon (16.01.2021) already, here you also have the Frag-O (already featuring a plan, etc. as promised😌) for it:
    FRAG-O_16012021.pdf

Also here you can always find the current modset for the current MSO:
