Check out Tibia, it's really addictive and you won't get bored.

It's all about having time these days. Arma 3, especially EU1 and 2 are easy to drop in and out of, no hassle if you are there for 30 mins or 3 hours.
 
I love games like Sykrim, GTA V, Witcher, but just don't have time to sit and play them for any length of time, kinda sad really.

Yup, I can totally relate!
For me what I needed was a new cool story game to play through.
That got me back into wanting to play games.
 
I highly suggest Rise of the Tomb Raider absolutely loved that game!
The gameplay feels smooth and is generally nice with some challenges here and there.
The story is quite nice and interesting.
The Graphics are AMAZING! if you can run it on some high settings of course :P.

I have to say though, it's nice to not play games for a bit sometimes.
This is definitely a thing, I play more games and prefer playing them if the weather sucks.
When the weather is nice I tend to play a lot less.
 
You could also try downloading a game that you never saw yourself playing but which your friends do play.
Make sure to play it together with them, that makes the experience a lot more fun and will also get you back into gaming.
 
If you don't have friends to play games with there's always us at Ahoy.
Just join a random custom created channel by someone on the TS and see what they are doing (Preferably someone you know on Ahoy, others might not really want you to join, but I for sure know many love it when people join).
If they're playing a game which sounds good or alright to you go ahead and play it together with them.

Yeah, i recognise it a bit and it also has to do with the nice weather, atleast for me. I want to swim in my pool and go for a ride on my bike, but its not possible for now becouse ive fractured my wrist, i can play computergames with just one hand.

Introduction - what it means to play on EU3 - how it's different from EU1 / other servers - what we expect from players.  Ie., the obligatory boring talky-talk part Radios - how to use ACRE - how to communicate well & efficiently - understanding how & why the radios work. Working as a team - formations, movement, cover, battle buddies, chain of command. ACE medical - how to treat your own injuries - how to help a medic (or other team members) treat another team members' injuries effectively. Signups not required
 
After completed training, roundtable discussion on future training topics.
 
There will be no specialized training for this session.

I just  joined the community serveral days ago.
I live in Austria. Yea that small state next to Germany.
My native tounge is German but i had like 10 years worth of english classes so my english is pretty much as good as my german.
I am just 17 years old and am still in school. At least for the next 6 weeks. After that i am done for good.
I play Arma since Arma 2 came out and clock in at arround 400h in ArmA 3 alone.
I mostly play on the I&A server EU#2 and there i am either UAV or Pilot (when possible).

Hello guys, just to make you all aware trolls are able to crash your TeamSpeak if you use version 3.0.19 by posting characters in chat, to stop this happening update to the latest version. Version 3.0.19 is the only version affected by this.

A last man standing game night mission at 17:00 BST (16:00 GMT).
 
It will be a first come first served for 40 slots on EU3.
 
Rules and all will be discussed on the night.

Can't really complain about improvements even if they're small, especially considering it's a pretty good looking game to begin with.
I'll have to see the changes for myself in-game before I can really decide how much I like it, I find it really hard to judge it from a few screenshots.
I think the most impressive change here is what they've done with the water, it looks incredible.

The mission for this Team vs Team night will be Operation Whirlwind, a new mission set on the Proving Grounds map of CUP Terrains.  It is a sector control mission.

BLUFOR is US Marines, OPFOR is Russian Spetsnaz.  Both teams have access to basic vehicles and one armored vehicle: for BLUFOR it's a LAV-25, for OPFOR it's a BTR-70.
 
Each team has 100 tickets.  There are four sectors to control.  Each time a player dies, their team loses a ticket.  Taking a sector restores 10 tickets.  The teams begin locked in their base; they have two minutes to prepare a plan, after which point barricades are removed, and they have 30 minutes to win the mission.
 
If all four sectors are taken by one side, the mission is over; if either side loses all its tickets, the mission is over; if the timer reaches 0, the mission is over.

So Soziop4th wanted a bug report from me in a formatted manner, capable for him to read. Let's just say that's kind of hard with the general quality of this mission, it's fantastic. The only bug thing I kind of found was the suspension on the transport we were given first. But i'm sure everyone knows of that one and its mod side, nothing to do with the mission. Some of the classes didn't contain ear plugs, which would had be nice to mute out the sound of the machine gun next to me.... Also the assistant automatic rifleman could use a little more body armour, like seriously he was going into battle with a sweat shirt.

Hello fellow Ahoyworlders! Welcome to 2016! We hope everyone had a good, enjoyable festive season. This post is just going to somewhat be a start of year update of what is going on internally and externally here at AhoyWorld and what you can expect over the coming weeks.
 
New moderators!
 
It’s with great pleasure that I announce six new moderators to the EU#3. Young Wolf, Ryko, Miksi, Gamerhero, Origins and Icy. I hope you can all join me in welcoming them to the team.
We’re always continuing to look for new moderators and admins to join our ranks.
 
How do you join the team? We don’t work on an application system. The way we work is that one of the team will suggest you in our private forums. Then everyone on the team who has experience with said member will input how they feel this member would do. At the end of the process the Admin Liaison takes all the input and makes the final overall decision.
 
EU#3 and the mods!
 
So with Gauntlet no longer being supported we move onto its successor, Valiant.
Valiant is in the depths of testing at the moment and is not to far away from being publicly released to EU#3. We also moved EU#3 to a new, separate box all just for EU#3. Taking the pressure off flagship which already runs EU#1 and 2, Teamspeak, Squad and a few others.
 
Moving onto the mods and the repo. We’re looking into plans to thin down some of the repo. Mainly looking to remove mods which we can use some of the current larger mods instead of. But more details of this will come in the coming weeks.
 
For new and current users we’re working on a whole EU#3 section on the website. This means you’ll no longer have to browse the forums for the guide, rules, and such like. However all discussion about the server will continue in the forums. We believe this will allow newer users a more friendly approach and easy to locate information.
 
We also just introduced the new Report forms system. They can be found here.
These forms are to be used to report trouble makers, bugs and issues, and give any feedback/ideas that you have. We’d really like to see these been used regularly and moving away from everyone starting threads in the forums about these type of things.
 
The Moderator team came together over the weekend to discuss a list of matters with EU#3. Just to report some of things on the plate:
Planned re-structure of the “Experienced @EU#3” tag. Also the addition of an XML for it.
Updated the pinned threads in the EU#3 Forums (WIP)
EU#3 video trailer competition.
Other matters which will come to light in the near future.
 
The EU#3 video trailer competition will be announced at the end of this week/start of next. For those whom want to start collecting video footage.
 
AhoyWorld Summer Meet up!
 
For those of you who haven’t yet seen AhoyWorld is hosting a Summer meetup this year July 15th-18th In the North of Holland. If this is something you’d be interested in please check the post here. I recommend you be quick as places are limited.
 
Donators!
 
As most of you know last year saw the end to the Ahoy+ scheme in which donations were done through a set fee, recurring payment. In its place we now have Ahoy Donators. This program allows for you to donate any amount you wish and you can choose if you’d like it to be recurring or just a one off payment.

Agreed on the objectives, would be a good time if it was easy to implement, via Zeus or otherwise.
 
I like the idea of an 11 v 11 match...
- 2 fireteams + SL, good amount of fighting happens without it becoming overwhelming to command (although 20v20 sounds epic!)
- allows more people to play per round, so less waiting
 
Although I concede that both of the above are functions of playable area size and layout. Smaller area could mean quick 5v5 CQB rounds within a compound or something. Also, wouldn't have to rely on people wanting to play the SL role.

Up for PvP. 20 v 20 sounds best for me!

I may be wrong but I think EU5 was a PvP server, it dieded though, converted or just deleted.
 
Non the less, pvp would be interesting but it's better leaving it to Eu3 gamenight sessions rather than getting an entire server for it.

A tournament would actually be a really nice change of pace.
 
But what would you want to see in it? A series of End Game matches of 5v5, 10v10, or tiny 1v1 duels in confined space? A timed mission versus AI for each round, and the fastest team / player wins? Question is if that's proper PvP, then.
 
But I like the idea. We should give this some thought.

Feel free to make a poll about it as we're all ears. The likelyhood however is the playable areas would be small enabling you to jump in and out and it wouldn't require heavy planning.

I like the idea of PvP in arma, Its really good fun when playing it on the EU3 server. I think Luetin is planning on doing many more of these PvP zeus mission nights so i dont think there is need for another server

I think people would be interested in a PvP server, aye.
There might be hackers though.
 
Suggestion would be making a poll, but only after admin's approvement, since there's no reason to make a poll about something that might be denied anyway.
