I agree that TS can get rather cluttered with chatter when it gets a little more populated.
I also agree that the ingame Group comms are good for use.
    However -
the ingame comms can be very tempremental, and at times so bad people end up having to type out information during a firefight.
    Teamspeak -
although it can be cluttered, there is the option to have more than one channel, to split the groups into...
If you're ever in there, you will see Potato Squad is usually in it's own Channel, if not in 2 Channels,
with the ingame comms used by the Squad Leaders/Seconds to relay information/orders between the 2 squads.
I would like to see more people in Teamspeak as it makes requesting support etc a much easier task, (Just look at how smoothly things work during Zeus Nights)
and once more people begin to use it, they will see the benefit.
If it cost people money to use Teamspeak, I could agree not to make it a more prevelant feature,
but seeing as using Teamspeak is free then I think a little more of a 'nudge' would be advantageous.
I'm not thinking that it should be a must for everyone...
But at least for Squad Leaders, UAV, Fire Support, Vortex... using Teamspeak would REALLY help with the flow of the game,
and has proven to reduce the number of Friendly Fire incidents, which will in turn reduce the amount of confusion and confrontation in game...
further reducing the need for Admin 'policing' of minor infractions.
The roles I tend to play are Sniper, CLS, Repair...
and for all of these roles I have found TS to be a valuable tool.
Others might see more benefit in having it once they experience it for themselves,
at the moment most people don't even read the messages on the map, or on the screen in the pop ups,
they just see them as an annoyance, and that's a little heartbreaking.
Asking in a different 'tone', for example -
"Could Recon, Engineers and Medics PLEASE join >>Teamspeak Channel<< to help with Communication, this saves time and, makes it more fun for everyone"
    or
"Could Pilots, UAV Operators and Fire Support Teams, PLEASE join >>Teamspeak Channel<< to be given Transport and Support requests more efficiently"
It's polite, and friendly, it isn't TELLING them to do it, or restricting their options, it just explains a little more as to why using Teamspeak can be better for the
flow of the game, and how it can help make things more fun. Waiting for 5 minutes for a Medic to notice that you are down, or to request an extraction is something that frustrates a lot of players, and negatively impacts on their gameplay experience, Teamspeak can help with that, but only if it's 'promoted' in a way that makes them see it's benefits.
Sorry for the essay, it wasn't intended to be this long, but as I started typing I thought of more to say, and things I thought the Adnim/Staff might find useful, so it became somewhat of a short story..
    Edited to add -
kman - if you see a locked channel like -Potato Squad- feel free to 'poke' someone in the room and ask if you can join them, sometimes there are spaces, and sometimes the rooms are locked once they reach a certain number of people to prevent too much chatter.
But it can't hurt to ask.

I think this is a great inintiative! i once did this when i was in a clan the time i used to play Americas Army and it wasnt awkward at all, very fun to paintball without any screen in between and it really improved the quality of communications, friendship and gameplay!

I can't tell for sure if i'm going to make it since i probably have a visit from my 3year old sun then but maybe i can arrange to attend at least one day.
I live in belgium so its not that far to drive for one day

Common' @lexota: we need more information on this one.
Sometimes around your post is when battleye servers went down. But ACE was reported as problem not ACRE.

With ACRE it's really easier than TFAR. You just reload your plugins and it's working again. Easy as that. If you reload plugins with TFAR sometimes hell breaks loose.

Hello all, this is a first for us as a community, some of the admins are meeting up for the weekend next summer in Leeuwarden, Netherlands, and you’re invited too! Why there? We have a wide user base across Europe and there is a higher concentration in the Netherlands, it also has great transport links to Amsterdam International Airport which is only 1.5hrs drive away. Oh and we have one of our generous members who offered us a very good deal on accommodation and hospitality!

When is it? Friday 15th July 2016 - Monday 18th July.

Where is it? Here! It’s a very nice resort on the lakeside in the North of Holland, we are very lucky!
So what, we all go there and sit awkwardly around a table wondering where we went wrong in life?

No, of course not! I have written up an itinerary because, well, if we don’t then it’s going to be chaos.

    Friday: All Arrive.
    Saturday morning: Go-karting!
Saturday afternoon: Various activities around the campsite (there’s all kinds of stuff like archery, biking trails, canoeing etc. or sit back and chill for the rest of the day.
Saturday evening: Community meeting at the onsite restaurant. We have our own room!
    Sunday: Paintballing!
    Monday: All depart.

To attend this event it is only €210, this includes the activities highlighted above, three nights accommodation, paypal fees and also includes any unexpected costs that we may be expected to pay. This price does not include travel to or from the event nor does it include any food or additional expenses incurred, food is kindly provided at cost by the site restaurant. If there is a surplus at the end of the event, this will be redistributed as a rebate. Any additional expenses will be handled amongst staff and will not be taken from the donation fund.

All members of AhoyWorld are invited to attend this event and we think it’s fantastic value for money. Please remember this area is not tailored to nightlife and therefore will be no loud/late night parties or related behavior.

Here’s a “virtual tour” type thing, if you like: http://www.viadrupsteen.nl/itwiid/#/It Wiid luchtBolfoto 1/Default

If you would like to attend please book as early as possible (like right now if you can), we are unable to reserve any accommodation that is not yet booked, when it’s gone, it’s gone, there isn't anything we can do about that. Due to our booking system we will not be able to offer a refund after the places have been booked however, if we are able to, we will. We estimate the latest you will be able to book is the end of January, we cannot guarantee this however so book as soon as you can!

To book simply click the "book now with/without accommodation" button and fill out the GDoc presented after fulfillment.

If you need any help with organising travel, I found mycheapflights.com very helpful and easy to use. If you're travelling from the UK there are various ferries available.

    Dover-Calais
    Dover-Dunkirk
    Harwich-Rotterdam (I'm using this one)
    Hull-Rotterdam
    Newcastle-Amsterdam

Anywhere else, use google maps. It's not usually far wrong!

Talking of travel, if you're in/around the route from Portsmouth to Harwich & Rotterdam to Leeuwarden I can give you a ride. I'm passing through Amsterdam Airport around 09:30 for anyone thinking of flying.

1.copy extracted modfile @BurnesLCAC to other mods in your arma3 folder (I keep them separate in respective main folder inside arma3folder).
2.copy bikey BURNES.bikey to keys folder
    3.in ArmaSync: profiles>edit>new>newprofilename
4.tab "addon options", click on + and add location of your modded folder (if you have created and placed all the mods in folder explained in 1.) If not, point to main folder.
    5. Make new group from dropdown menu : Groups. Name it "ChrisForTheKing"
6.tab "addons" : You will see all available addons added from location 1(or default arma3folder) in left side. Copy everything to the group "ChrisForTheKing". (Select EU#3 mods and @BurnesLCAC and hold LMB then drag folders to "ChrisForTheKing" folder group)
    7. check your tab "launcher options" . See if everything is okay for you.
    8. Start arma as arma3battleye.exe

additional info for 6. : This is why I keep EU#3 mods in separate folder.

Whoever crashes anything in this test. I won't play with you anymore. This is really big thing for me.

    2. Use map constantly.
    3. Learn to navigate with degrees (bearing).
    4. Learn to calculate distance
    5. Good headphones.

Rule 1: Don't complain about AI seeing through trees. It's an AI. Have fun with it.
Rule 2: Together we shall play. Use teamwork as your main strategy.

Optional: bump voice to 128 channels.
Optional 2: Avoid 3rd person. You are not God.

    Problem B: Flying helicopter (rotorcraft,aircraft)
    1. Practice
    2. More practice
    3. Something, something
    4. More practice.
    5. Never reach full profit
    6. Repeat from 1.

Optional: Use of advanced flight control is really really nice but really10x hard. If you don't have joypad with additional stuff like pedals, you'll need to do some refinements to your mouse and use another keybindings (wheel to 1 scroll, mouse wheel glide on) Even then you'll need months of practice to make it good.
Be aware AhoyWorld doesn't like people practicing when it's primetime. Please avoid that since players get frustrated not being able to reach actual AO.

    Best of plays,

the source of all evil isnt the "respawn/rearm time of the jet" - its more the absolut ignorance of Priority objectives,in this case >getting the radiotower down< !
As you shown in your example,if you manage to shoot 4 enemy jets in a row that proves your ground team has no clue on how to execute their operation.
I recall I+A when jets were side rewards only (AA+CAS Buzzard),the pilots were focused mainly on transport only - these days you see pilots camping the jet spawn regulary and give a fkk on their main role which still is TRANSPORT in all sort and forms.
Everyone and their mom wants to reenact their inner Maverik and the Buzzard isnt good enough once a Fake10 gets rewarded ...

Getting back on topic, there s several solutions to this issue and none of em requires a change of mission/script :
insert EoD/Demo teams nearby tower quickly once AO starts, allowing em to take tower down have a Forward Team laser designating the Radiotower for the UAVop and his Greyhawks ask for AT soldiers to do base protection with Titan AA´s when Base Defence is unavailable make use of side reward Cheetah´s for base protection
In conclusion, all your base belongs to me ... !

I really respected the decision of CUP being added due to Ryko's fair and understandable points on the CUP content over the RHS content but recently I've really had a change of heart.

I get Ryko's point of "practicality over preference" which in this case would be "performance over quality" which is very fair, its just I havent seen any benefit whatsoever over the CUP weapons and vehicles compared to what RHS has to offer. The only benefit I can really see about CUP is the pure quantity of content it has (clothing, vehicles, weapons). Keeping this in mind it might not even be considered a benefit due to most of the gear rightly not being used.

I can remember one quite important point Ryko did make about CUP being beneficial for mission making when it comes to insurgents, Takistanis etc but surely we should be focusing more on the Russians as a popular and primary foe on EU3 as they are the ONLY foe that can realistically stand up to the USA and actually make combat fun and interesting instead of bland and easy (found in easy fights such as against insurgents).

I think ive got a fairly biased opinion on this, however, because I think that we should be focusing MAINLY on the actual performance, team-play, game-play and experience of EU3 rather than constantly jumping between unnecessary mods. I think RHS should be used as the primary content mod for guns, units, clothing, vehicles etc and then throw extra mods on top of this (such as TFAX, TF47 launchers etc) to keep things interesting. This would be a better option I think than having many big, conflicting mods that just keep adding things we dont need or already have such as CUP.

I would love to be persuaded otherwise about CUP so please feel free Ryko, it just feels like its more of a preference for CUP rather than a rational or beneficial decision. If it is preference then I think it should be talked about and bounced around the EU3 community rather than dropped on us. I know its 'not a democracy' and all but using polls and such for big changes such as CUP would really help see what people want and how they would react.

This is pretty long and I dont usually like doing this so heres a M107 to keep things interesting (no RHS over CUP persuasion intended  )

    Map: AL RAYAK
    MODs: Standard EU3 modset

Mission Length: 25 minutes (we may do best 2/3)
    Mission: DANGER ZONE

    Summary:
Russian and American tank platoons converge on the town of Qunaya in Al Rayak, covered by Close Air Support on both sides.  With 25 minutes to take the objective, which side will persevere?

    Rules:
    - 30 second respawn timer.
    - Each side has 20 tickets.
    - Refuel / Rearm / Repair stations at both US and Russian air bases.
    - There's a sector to control. The team that holds the sector at the end of 25 minutes wins.
    - 18 pilot slots on each side.
    - Pilots can spawn jets from a selection to choose from.
    - In case you don't want to fly, there are amor crews available:
    - US tank crews: 2x M1A2 (4-man), 1x M163 (2-man)
    - Russian tank crews: 2x T90A (3-man), 1x ZSU 23-4 (3-man)

Your 'some' tks was quite a few and you don't seem to think this is a big deal. You've not shown us that you are willing to play by the rules we set out for everyone.
