  1. Welcome to the Community. Don't forget to keep your eyes open for future events ettc. There was a recent PVP game and from what I hear people REALLY enjoyed it.
  2. TL:DR - Some people knowingly did wrong and got what they deserved, but let's not shaft Liru because of those people. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Full Content - As Shadow explained on TS, the Server name was an oversight. It had originally been created to test Mission files etc and was not intended to be used with the title as shown. I am a part of the other community and have spoken with the Staff here also, and am fully in suppport of them banning people for blatant subversion of rules. However, in regard to Liru, I believe the actions were a little rash. Liru had no intention of 'luring' (lets use this term, it removes confusion) people away. He simply created a Mission for people to enjoy. A former AW Staff member chose, stupidly, to post the website address for 'our' community which in both my eyes and the eyes of AW staff was the wrong thing to do. I will not step up and defend those people who were banned for their own actions, they deserved it and are not likely to care. I WILL STEP UP AND ASK THAT LIRU NOT BE TREATED AS THE GUILTY PARTY BY PROXY/ASSOCIATION.
  3. Not sure if i'll be able to take part..... Got a swelling in the back of my throat that is making it hard for me to breathe or talk. Will see how things are later, and will chat to the main guys shortly to discuss options, but really don't think i'll be in any state to take part.
  4. Not sure if i'll be able to take part..... Got a swelling in the back of my throat that is makingit hard to breathe/talk. Hope this goes well. Good luck everyone.
  5. Congratulations Jim. Have a great day. Let your other half know that we wish her all the best. She's gonna need all the support she can get..
  6. Just one question... Do you have legs? Welcome to the Community mate.
  7. Welcome to the Community friend. Hope you find your place here, and have fun.
  8. Really glad to have you here. Welcome to the Community.
  9. Want us to put the word out when we see people on TS that might not spend much time in the forums? Well, i'm going to anyway... but yeah..
  10. I thought Liru's was on the Sunday night... I'll definitely keep this in mind, will have to see how my FPS holds up.
  11. Seems interesting - will this be finished before Liru's (Unofficial) Event as I don't want to miss that one.
  12. FOB -Forward Operating Base- Missions involved driving a truck of some sort - Medical, Supply, Fuel - from Base to a forward location closer to the AO. They were fun Missions that involved some ambushes along the way, usually requiring a few players to work together to be successful.
  13. This setup has been running on EU#2 for a while now, and while I know it's somewhat of a daunting transition for some, it has been felt by many to be a positive update. People no longer charge in to AOs/Side Missions with a ridiculous amount of rockets/ammo. This has prevented them from Ramboing everything and ruining the experience of those people who have come to Ahoyworld for some fun team-based gameplay. More people have been taking the 'less used' roles such as Repair Specialists and EOD, as they now have a legitimate role within the team. Give it a month or two, things will settle, people will have created their kits and the Teamwork 'SHOULD' begin to start becoming more noticable.
  14. Cebi, I respect you and enjoy playing with you, but THIS is something that should be left out of such feedback and dealt with more privately. There were reasons that I was more critical of Brandenburg at the beginning of this Mission. These reasons are ones that we have discussed with him during previous conversations via Teamspeak when he has asked for feedback on why we are sometimes so harsh towards him. I will say no more on the subject in an open forum such as this, but am happy to explain it to you in private should you wish to understand.
