Well we at least got quite a lot of rules to be honest (even though a lot of people don´t know them...).
 
I am not saying that I am not enjoying Gauntlet. I am just saying that a more clear direction would make it just more enjoyable for eiter one of the groups. Also we still have the MSOs for more structured gameplay.
 
Probably not but that is why I am posting my opinion in here: to give input/feedback. Maybe more people think like that and it´ll cause a course-change and maybe(/probably) not but than it´s fine as well and I at least gave feedback and kept a thread alive.

AWE is a public server... In essence, people are free to join and do what they want (well, sort of...) If you're looking for serious and strict gameplay then you should be looking for organised events or groups who have that focus. The target audience of Gauntlet isn't going to change anytime soon as far as I would expect.

We're not MilSim, merely bridging a niche gap between public play and structured play.

Gamenights can fill that niche, and they have in the past.

And when I first came too, there was literally no restrictions back then and people managed just fine.
 
In fact I remember teams coordinating to have the same weapon platforms so they could share ammo etc without even being asked to.
 
Add to that everyone actually looked the part, ie not wearing pure white camo on a green terrain map...if only we could return to those days

Personally, not for me. If you are like me and move around while playing games a lot (e.g. change your seating or generally restless sitting at your desk) you'll quickly get annoyed with it.

Hello, as some probably already know, with a few other players we have gotten an idea of placing billboards that promote AWE on Eu 1 and 2. Quite often i see players on those servers that really want more tactical realism/try to do that there. And quite often, when asked about AWE, i find out, they had no idea that it even exists or many answer something along the lines of "yea i heard about it, what is it tho?, like, I&A with 18gb of mods?". 

Therefore, my idea is to make some "tacticool" billboards around the base on Eu1&2 from the great pictures that we have on the forums, promoting, and informing players of the environment AWE offers. I have spoken with a few staff members, and they seem to like the idea, next step is asking @Ryko and the rest of core staff what they think about it, but to do that, having a few billboard projects made, would be useful. I would love it if you posted your favorite pictures from AWE and your ideas of slogans that could make players consider joining, or at least, checking out the "Enhanced" community, in this topic, also, it would be great to hear everybody's ideas and opinions.

AhoyWorld Enhanced perhaps? That has squad play with command structure, ROE and much more.

Having played a bit of Lythium, this is definitely what AWE needed. It feels like a fresh start, loving it! Just sitting in a helicopter flying over Lythium makes me think of so many possible GN scenarios, it's going to be a great summer!

I really enjoy how we rotate maps like this. I think it will bring new life to the server because of maps otherwise becoming dull as we've seen pretty much every corner of them now.

I think the coming summer will be a very good one with a variety of missions and 'MSO' like gameplay. I'm hoping to finally start my 'MSO' and will probably be running plenty of Zeus missions on an ad hoc basis.

I'm already crunching ideas for GN's where a decent FOB is justified. It's a difficult dynamic to implement without causing a major stall in gameplay when the FOB needs to be set-up. I think only a missions with a strong background story would really justify a FOB.

When MAT/HAT isn't around that would be a good idea. However when there's an AT team online it kind of defeats their purpose if everyone is carrying launchers

Hell ye thats what happens when you have a organised MAT team, do u have any clips of when we basically just shat on your armoured push?  The one where we ran out of ammo at the end...
