    Hi all,
     
    Based on recent events and feedback from the community, we have decided to introduce a regular community meeting, to be held on a regular schedule which is to be agreed during the first meeting.
     
    The first of these meetings is to be on Thursday 22nd July at 18:00UTC held in the Ahoyworld Teamspeak. (ts.ahoyworld.net, weekday/times of future meetings is another topic to discuss and agree)
     
    The purpose of these meetings will be to both communicate staff plans to members and to discuss member feedback/concerns.
    With the plan being that at subsequent meetings we can determine the effectiveness of any measures/actions decided at previous meetings and adjust accordingly.

    The heart of Ahoyworld is and has always been its members. As CS we strive to meet the needs and expectations of the members, though sometimes as people we fail to do this but I hope that if we can have a more open forum then we can be more proactive rather than reactive.
     
    In advance of this meeting we will be preparing an agenda as put forward by the members and keeping minutes for record on the forum for those that cannot attend. Any member can put forward a topic to discuss.

    Please share below any topic which you would like to see discussed or message a member of Core Staff with your suggestion if you wish to do so privately.

    Mission
    Gain a foothold and fortify our position. Capture strategic objectives. Establish favourable relations with the local populace.
     
    Execution
    At CMD’s discretion.
     
    Section cohesion is of utmost importance. The enemy outnumbers us greatly and will not hesitate to exploit gaps in our situational awareness.
    Counter-attacks and a general resistance to our efforts will ask for quick shifts in our tactics.
     
    Admin / Logistics
    Reinforcements are unlimited and directed by CMD. Resupply is CMD’s prerogative.
    Enemy prisoners of war (POW) are to be treated well and brought to base for questioning.
     
    The Logistics team has full discretion as to the fortification of our FOB under CMD's guidance. If no other tasking, default to supply and POW escort.
     
    Command / Signal
    Operations and ground control lie solely with the Platoon Commander. The RTO handles air traffic and can supplement communications.
     
    Support unit slots are under Platoon Command's prerogative and can be asked to reconsider their slot, but never forced to give them up in favour of another player. All units must be tasked fairly.
     
    Squad leaders are responsible for the operational effectiveness of their teams.

    From tomorrow, the amount of light vehicles that are spawned at all types of objectives will be reduced by 1, meaning the minimum vehicles at each objective will drop to 2 from 3. This should make it easier for smaller groups and also reduce the chances of GMG's wrecking buildings. Enjoy

    Situation
    Since the failed attempt on the life of the CDF counter insurgency officer, he has increased his security and made another attempt on his life unlikely at the moment. The CDF have also stepped up their information warfare activities and it is nearing the point where we believe they may be able to discover our true reason for being in Chernarus. To avoid this we have arranged to aid our rebel allies in attacking and neutralising the enemies quick reaction aircraft in the NW airfield. In return they will provide us with the location of the CDF forward communications equipment.

    1 x MH-6M
    Various ground support vehicles
     
    Friendly Forces:
    UN Observation force
    Chernarussian rebels  
     
    Enemy Forces:
    Local criminal factions
     
    Neutral Forces:

    Civilians:
    Civilian presence to be expected, concentrated in built up areas.
     
    Mission
    Aid the rebels in assaulting and disabling the CDF airfield. Then using the information provided assault and destroy the CDF communications position. This must be done while maintaining our humanitarian cover.
     
     
    Execution
    Objectives:
    1. Deliver combat supplies to the rebels and aid them in the assault on the NW airfield
    2. Find and destroy the CDF communications hub
    3. Maintain the cover supplied by the humanitarian mission
     
    Movement Plan:
    At Commanders discretion
     
    Rules of Engagement:
    Enemies may be engaged on sight based on current squad orders
    Civilians are present in the area so collateral damage is to be kept to a minimum.
     
     
    Admin & Logistics
     
    Equipment & Resupply:
    At the commander’s control, assets are available at base to facilitate this.
     
    Reinforcements:
    Unlimited
    At commanders discretion, transport assets are available.
     
     
    Command & Control
     
    Command:
    Overall command lays with codename "Overlord" who will set objectives and ROE.

    For v3.4.07, vehicles that gets moved now gets hitpoints with more than 60% damage reduced to 60%, and 10% fuel if below 10%.

    Hi @Mino,

    I have reviewed your original ban and subsequent appeal.
    You were banned in May 2020 for what I'll describe as hate speech.

    Upon your March 2021 appeal being unsuccessful you doubled down on the language used and had your forum account banned.
    A ban such as this is not overturned lightly if ever, and even then not in such a short timeframe.
     
    At this time I have no reason to believe that your behaviour will change.
    Therefore I see no reason to believe that this appeal is different.

    Expected Mission Length: 120+ minutes (including brief), (may go over or under expected mission length).
     
    Player Slots:
    18 + 3 Zeus
     
    Situation:
    SG teamsd 21, 22, and 23 are tasked with infiltrating a Lucian alliance compound being used to supply Anat’s forces, Her flagship is due to be in orbit to receive supplies on the above date.  Once in the compound they will ring a MALP carrying a Nuke aboard a Hatak before returning to the gate.
     
    The industrial compound is located within 3 Lucian alliance outposts so stealth is preferred but optional.  Firefights will draw more into the area as well as Goa’ul;d patrols reinforcements.
     
    Mission:
    SG teams 21, 22, and 23 will escort the MALP carrying the Nuke to the industrial complex.  Once there they will ring it aboard the Hatak and exfil.
     
    Execution:
    SG teams will move East from the gate preferably avoiding Lucian patrols secure the industrial complex and and ring platform.  Once secured the MALP will be ringed aboard the Hatak.
     
    Teams will exfil back through the gate.
     
    The more fire fights you get into the more reinforcements will appear and the more active the patrols will become.
     
    The MALP containing the Nuke must not be destroyed.
     
    Sustainment:
    The normal MALPs operate as a mobile respawn, they are driveable and can carry four passengers.  It is strongly suggested that at least one person has a UAV controller as a redundancy.
     
    One additional MALPs may be taken through the gate with you.
     
    The last has been refitted to carry the nuke and will have green tarp boxes on the top to signify this is the special one.
     
    Command and Control:
    Operational command will be with one of the Team Leaders.
     
    Bonus Objectives from Last Week:
    Destroyed Weapons Lab: Succeeded
    Jaffa will not have access to any fancier weapon systems or aircraft for this mission.
     
    Destroyed Symbiote pools:  Succeeded.
    Jaffa reinforcements will be limited, most enemy combatants will be Lucian Alliance (Criminals).
     
    Do not Push any Buttons:  Succeeded

    Side mission has been implemented so sectors can 'request repairs' from your forces. They will request a number of supplies from you which you need to deliver within 30 minutes, then you will gain 75% of the civ rep loss (so currently +6%). The side mission will be added on the next map change, due to it not being accurate for the current run
    I have also added a small menu to choose the amount of crates you want to retrieve from a factory, as well as the ability to withdraw resources from a FOB.

    can we have the taru troop transport pods as well? That way you can use the Taru more often and when needed change to logi with the repair/refuel/rearm pods

    I've noticed vehicles that have been damaged out on the field and abandoned are re-spawning in the same damaged state and sometimes it's a hassle to get them repaired, not really a big problem but thought I'd let you know.

    Following the events in Zelenogorsk the Chernarussian forces have sent a team to investigate what happened. It turns out that the leader of the investigation is a senior anti terrorism officer within the Chernarussian defense force.

    Our public mission is to provide aid to an IDAP medical encampment which are being attacked by cartel forces.

    Not sure if you want to / can change anything about this or not, But the Arty's spread is huge when firing long distance. It was firing at the red cross, and managed to land a round in Neri which is ~700m away

     
    my abandoned prowler which was right next to the red smoke, was seemingly unharmed by the entire volley

    Side mission idea:
     
    Rebuilt civilian structures.
    Cost: 100 supplies per damaged structure
    Reward: Regain 60% of civilian reputation lost on destruction per rebuilt structure
     
    This side mission kinda serves as a way for players to "clean up their own mess" after a firefight. The destroyed buildings and to which objective they belong get saved by the mission. When players launch the side mission, it chooses an (maybe random) objective that has destroyed structures. Players then simply have to drop the supplies off at the objective. For every structure rebuilt they regain some civilian reputation.
