Hey all, sorry I've not been around the last while, been really busy with a job search and I finally got my joystick over to London 
from my parents' place in America and have been flying in DCS a lot lately. 
 
Hope to get a good bit of ARMA in soon.

If you only want to be friends with people who say inappropriate stuff and are unprofessional, you're on the right path. You can joke and make friends without coming across like a jackass. 
 
That being said, I am not the nicest of people. And I will judge you, as all people judge anyone they come across in life. First impressions are build on a foundation of micro judgements. 
 
Your public persona is all people have to base their opinions of you on. If we/anyone, don't/doesn't like the first impression of you, why venture further into who you are as a person? 
 
Maybe we will see each other online, and i hope we do, and i hope you comport yourself with a high degree of class and composure.

I personally don't want someone, anyone, using the word gay in a negative way, nor is joking about rape okay in a mixed community like this. People need to be held to high standard of decorum, so i applaud whoever banned you. 
 
If you want to make rape jokes and call people anything up to and including 'gay faggy fags' go ahead and do that on another server populated by like-minded people. 
 
One of the best things i've found about this server is that everyone is really respectful and professional, with a few exceptions. 
 
 
 
 

I am a nice person. Don't judge me. I'm *probably* nicer than you but who knows?  I believe in myself that I am a nice and friendly person. We can be friends right now if you want to but I know you don't want that to happen.
I was with my squad members when I said those in server chat. I will not involve them here but we were only joking(having fun), like when we changed our squad name to Gay Squad. Yeah, that name is very inappropriate and I know that. It'd be much okay for me if that was the reason I got banned. It's understandable.
(I say dumb, inappropriate-but-funny and random weird stuffs in chat in an attempt to make friends with anyone in the server.)

I try to do this is as much as I can when i'm zeusing, If the AO is low and AI and very abundant in players, I will send reinforcments.
 
I always try to change the way I do this, to keep it refreshing, so it's not always the same.
My reinforcements could be;
-Paratroopers
-Helicopter Insertion
-Helicopter paratroopers
-Infantry transport trucks 
- Armoured Convoy 
- Light Vehicle Convoy 
- Enemy QRF (1x attack heli, kajman or Orca)
 
This is just the few ways that I can think on the top of my head, I am forever learning, trying out new ways to bring reinforcements in a way that is fair, but effective so the AO's don't always feel the same, and I hope that the players enjoy this as if I feel it is too much, I will reevaluate the ways I try to spicen up the  mission.

Still deciding to change it to my nickname 'Borrel'. But it seems every english talking guy on the server can pronounce my name pretty well.
 
Started playing arma when it was still the first version of the game named Operation Flashpoint. Not played that much and quit playing for a couple of years.
 
Last couple of weeks I picked it up again. In the meantime always playing fps games and stuff.
 
Dont like the vanilla game, its too 'gamy'. Like playing realism so after a lot of searching i found this eu3 server. Best thing ever.
 
29 years old, reallife in the army myself (dutch army) so the army things about the game is what i know, only the game mechanics (still trying to remember all the keybindings and some of the other mechanics that are on the server)

Use cTab to text your direct superior, let him know if you and any others are in base waiting for transportation.

did you start ts in admin mode?

Happy you enjoyed it, I rather enjoyed doing ASL myself other than having to call in a Broken Arrow.
 
Sorry to the friendlies that CAS killed but ya know, it was either us or everyone and at least we got the enemy mechanized platoon

You are mixing 3 diferent voice systems up wich is common use for players new to tfar 
 
they way you should continu to use voice is 1 u use capslock for radio  and 2 u use your TS PTT for direct coms you might have noticed that when you enter the server with tfar TS switches your ts chanel and mutes every one in there tis is done by Tfar because they work together 
 
The whole Arma3 voice system you can forget on AWE or any tfar server because thats disabled

I loved it, even though I was pretty nervous about it and was a bit quiet and didnt say anything really. 
 
Kudos to everyone for having a good group and not being a bunch of douchebags like lots of general servers have.

Right, to come back on this, we have made some changes to our TK messages, base protection and added a new feature.

For starters TK messages will now in 95% of the cases display the name of the actual TKer even if he's using for example the minigun of a ghosthawk.  On top of this base protection will now also stop you from firing from inside or with a vehicle at base and all FOBs. 
And probably most importantly for this thread, if you TK someone a hintC (a box with a message you have to press OK on before you can do anything else) will show up on your screen if you TK someone.
And finally we've done some behind the screens tweaks.  I'm not going to explain what exactly this is but it will allow us to easier react on team-kills.
 
These changes will be implemented in I&A version 3.2.4 along with some other changes.  I don't currently have an ETA on this update as we're still tweaking things to ensure that it's as good as possible.

I find it annoying to have CAPS LOCK turn on and off any time i want to talk to someone, i feel like my keyboard G610 has an option for this, just wondering.
