Hey all, sorry I've not been around the last while, been really busy with a job search and I finally got my joystick over to London from my parents' place in America and have been flying in DCS a lot lately. Hope to get a good bit of ARMA in soon. V/R Nosferatu

@JulianWilliams If you only want to be friends with people who say inappropriate stuff and are unprofessional, you're on the right path. You can joke and make friends without coming across like a jackass. That being said, I am not the nicest of people. And I will judge you, as all people judge anyone they come across in life. First impressions are build on a foundation of micro judgements. Your public persona is all people have to base their opinions of you on. If we/anyone, don't/doesn't like the first impression of you, why venture further into who you are as a person? Maybe we will see each other online, and i hope we do, and i hope you comport yourself with a high degree of class and composure.

@JulianWilliams You sound like a really nice person... I personally don't want someone, anyone, using the word gay in a negative way, nor is joking about rape okay in a mixed community like this. People need to be held to high standard of decorum, so i applaud whoever banned you. If you want to make rape jokes and call people anything up to and including 'gay faggy fags' go ahead and do that on another server populated by like-minded people. One of the best things i've found about this server is that everyone is really respectful and professional, with a few exceptions.

I got the problem all sorted out and working fine as of yesterday. Now to just learn the radio channels and such, like how to call vortex when i'm stranded on base and cant find him haha

Ahhhhh! That's the answer I was looking for! So the Arma direct comm doesn't work so I need to use the PTT in its place. Got it. Awesome sauce

I'll try a full reset of my voice comm keys next time I'm on enhanced, what keys do other people have bound for Radio/TS PTT/Direct ? Maybe if I copy someone else's binds it will fix it

I have an issue with my voice comms, for some reason when i hit the PTT button i have for TS3, (`) it goes through TS just fine. when i hit CAPSLOCK it goes through the radio just fine, with the little radio box showing in the bottom right. BUT when i hit my Direct Comm button, the little white text/microphone for Direct Comm shows up but nobody can hear me. Made me feel like a total idiot tonight. Any advice? For all I could tell my PTT TS button was going to everyone on the server, although it was only a few people at the time.

Just did my first bit of Enhanced with about 12 guys I guess. I loved it, even though I was pretty nervous about it and was a bit quiet and didnt say anything really. Kudos to everyone for having a good group and not being a bunch of douchebags like lots of general servers have. I'll be back

That's a negative. The Corps uses navy medics. They used to also be totally unarmed, not sure about these days though.

That's awesome, after about one other person I'd return to normal haha. Do any vehicles respawn? like the quad bikes? just so i know which vehicle is most 'expendable' so to speak.

So even if I am the only person on the server and it'll take an hour to drive a truck to the AO? Rules are rules and I'll abide by them obviously, just figured it would make sense to loosen some things when nobody else is around.

Yeah i meant when nobody else is around at all. Another quick one. If i'm online all alone and take a littlebird to the AO, is there a way to respawn it back at base? Do i have to destroy it?

Maybe a way would be to keep track of TKs on the server and you could weed out the habitual TKers? 'Oh this person has a real habit of TKs, lets ban them' rather than writing an autoban script? One of the other servers has a report option that comes up after someone even damages you, so you can forgive or report. could that work?

Any other good tips? I'd love to learn more haha I find it annoying to have CAPS LOCK turn on and off any time i want to talk to someone, i feel like my keyboard G610 has an option for this, just wondering.

In game name is Nosferatu, real name is Lucas. American (former USN) recently relocated to London to get married and settle for a few years. Pretty happy to finally have a computer which can handle ARMA. Been playing pretty regularly for about a month now. When are the best times to get on the servers? busy time for enhanced?
