    I&A4 version 070 change log

    FIXES
    1. Overhaul of Rescue Civs secondary mission (Civs weren't spawning in buildings, or near OPFOR defenders).
    2. Random revive from incapacitation, should be much less often. If you self-revive once, you won't self-revive again until respawn.
    3. Overhaul of all sub-objectives to improve success conditions.
    4. More work on custom groups. Maybe now it works? Who knows!
    5. Admin scripts (should) be visible now for staff
    6. Slung weapon was being detected as a non-class weapon for purposes of the gear restriction script (lolz)
    7. Weather regulation script had an error which could result in a sunny (default) setting producing rain. Should now work as intended (Default parameter = sunny weather)
    8. Player vehicles shouldn't be deleted in zones allocated for other bases.
    9. Assets from secondary missions were sometimes caught up in orphan units subroutine after main AO was completed.
    10. Possible fix for UGV reward asset

    TWEAKS
    1. Arsenal quartermaster animations changed so he doesn't walk through the table.
    2. Removed more trees at Abdera runway.
    3. Opfor awareness process won't run on groups where all the members are dead.
    4. Given that BIS has changed how createVehicleLocal can be abused and that this abuse is no longer possible, removed createVehicleLocal from disabledCommands list; custom smoke countermeasures deployment has been removed and we're back to Bohemia's local solution.
    5. The vehicle at the Repair depot sub-objective now has some flavour damage.
    6. Updated secondary task names for better visibility on map.
    7. Tweaks to main AO win condition
    8. Civilian vehicles should now despawn after AO is completed if player is significantly far away, and hasn't been claimed by player
    9. Vortex players should no longer be considered as potential targets for ambient anti-air spawns
    10. Finessed ammo box deployment from helicopters (could spawn too close when helicopter was landed)
    11. Reward gear is now added to arsenal, not put into inventory, after purchasing.

    NEW
    1. Added Teamkills history list for admins. Will only populate with information after admin connects (historical information will not be populated).
    2. Admin can see current Main AO status, reflecting how many units are left in the AO before it is considered complete

Plus, we are trying some new server config options which might help with situations where units controlled by the headless client are not detecting players.

    I&A 4 beta 069 change log:

    NEW
    ---
    1. Showing/hiding admin scripts preference now saved to player profile.
    2. Reward point donation cap of 10,000 points.
    3. When incapacitated, the hint regarding the nearest teammate will disappear when you are revived, or when you die.
    4. Closing the map will clear any active hint, including (and most importantly) the hint you get if you click on a unit to reveal the squad composition or vehicle crew.
    5. Zeus players may show/hide enemy units on their map.

    FIXES
    1. Repair depot success condition
    2. Admin scripts didn't appear.
    3. Admin TK notices now don't include the projectile as that information is usually missing
    4. Zeus control double-click *may* be fixed
    5. Fixed bug where players could donate infinite points.
    6. Air unit players (Vortex, Viper, Reaper and Talon) no longer receive engagement zone messages (nor receive reward points for being in the zone at mission completion).
    7. Bug in IA4 menu re Air Channel button. (thanks Stanhope)
    8. Bug related to MPHit eventhandler on Ammo depot, repair depot, and command center subobjectives (thanks Stanhope)
    9. Base cleanup script re-activated. This will occasionally kick players out of inventory screens.
    10. Fixes to two-strike rule for Vortex pilots.
    11. Attempted fixes for custom groups.
    12. Players no longer able to purchase non-class reward weapons and take them from arsenal (you can purchase them, but they won't show up in arsenal until you change to an appropriate role).

    TWEAKS
    1. Random chance of waking up from incapacitation has been tweaked significantly; should happen much less often, if at all.
    2. Waking up from incapacitation, player will be wounded and limping, which can be fixed with a first aid kit or medpack.
    3. Tweaked location of Selakano air service stations.
    4. Changed max player count to 61 (1 HC slot, 60 player slots)
    5. Tweaked conditions for picking up non-class, non-faction weapons.
    - a non-class weapon will increase your difficulty to aim (setCustomAimCoef to 6). (For example: a NATO medic using a NATO autorifle.)
    - a non-faction weapon will give you a 50% reward point penalty.
(For example: a NATO grenadier using a CSAT grenade launcher.)
    - a non-class, non-faction weapon will do both.
(For example: a NATO medic using a CSAT grenade launcher.)
    6. Arsenal will disappear when opened (locally) for cosmetic reasons, and will re-appear when closed.

I like to actually take off the CPU and GPU cooler completely and wash them .
After that I let them dry on the air, meanwhile cleaning the rest of the "gymhall" … a toothbrush for my fans and the mobo to dust them off, a nice quick dry wipe follows a shallow vacuuming with the longnose-nozzle on for the case and its dustfilters, followed up by a slightly moist wipe for the outside surfaces of the case which is literally immediately (left hand is moist wipe, right hand is dry wipe) following in the wake of the moist wipe .

If you fear for your coolers when taking them off I can recommend flexible pipecleaners (https://www.amazon.com/100pk-Multi-Coloured-Pipe-Cleaners/dp/B002R5R6Y4) for you : they are soft enough on the outside, pull and hold dust really well, are flexible and, most important, long enough to reach from one end of a CPU tower cooler to the other end with enough room to grab onto both ends and wiggle it through the small slots in between the fins .

    Hi.
After a discussion amogst the AWE moderator team in regards of recruiting more players to the server, we have decided on a method that will allow the players to give us the material that we can use in an attempt to be more active on the social channels such as Reddit, Youtube, Armaholic etc..
To do this we have created a way that you can submit your videos to us so that we can review them and use them to aid in the advertising of the server.

The process that we are going to use to gather footage is:
          1. Player captures footage and post it on  youtube channel or other video hosting website, preferably somewhat edited to shorten down idletime.
      2. Player then fills out this form: https://goo.gl/UiVR9V
      3. Moderators can then easily locate the footage and review the content and decide if we can use it and also download and edit it.
If you would like to share your footage but not submit to be used within the advertising of the server you can post within this topic, only videos added to the form by the original creator will be considered by the administrative staff.
Please be aware of a few things:
Ahoyworld reserves the right to edit, distribute and use any information that is submitted to us trough the form in any way we feel is acceptable. We may request the raw footage so that we can edit it into a video with other content that has been uploaded to us.

    Example video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fjWWC0Yy1o0

Let me first start off with a big thank you to all of our players from the EU3 AWE team. We really appreciate your continuing support, especially when we roll out big updates and experience some issues with it. Also I need to say a big thanks for the constant feedback being given to us on how these changes are affecting things on server, keep it coming.

However, I have to address a specific issue withing this post, Acre. This is a public service announcement, so to speak, as well as a request.

Before you connect to EU3 AWE next time:

    1. Make sure you have Acre updated to the new, correct version (2.2). This includes the teamspeak .dll files.
    2. Make sure you have TFAR deactivated. Acre and TFAR conflict, causing lots of bugs.

And please, make sure you check!

If you still experience issues please post them in this thread. Include what this issue was, who it affected, what you were doing, what they were doing, and any other relevant information. As well as this please include the version with sub-release (press j ingame and the mission file name will tell you). The current version is 48C.

To keep you updated with what we are doing to try and tackle the radio issues currently being faced, we will post any updates specific to Acre, in this thread, so keep an eye on it. As of the time of writing we have amended a setting within 48D so that radio antenna directions are ignored with regard to interference. In addition to this radios are now only available from the arsenal, within the miscellaneous tab of inventories. The static radio box has been removed.

Sub-release 48D will be activated on the server shortly.

We are aware of a specific issue regarding the radios and boats, please continue to use the boats, and if this error occurs again after performing the above mentioned actions, post it!

Again, Thanks for your continuing cooperation and support,

    Copey

Radfahrer reacted to Ryko in Ahoyworld Enhanced - Gauntlet 48 status update
    Hi folks,

Obviously, recent events on the ahoyworld website have thrown a bit of a wrench in our plans to update the Enhanced (EU3) server.  Rest assured there is a lot of work going on behind the scenes and that the next iteration of Gauntlet is on the way, and we're really excited about what it has to offer.

    Here are some highlights:

    1) N'Ziwasogo - you might have a hard time pronouncing it, but this new map will be a hoot to play on.  I've started calling it "the poor man's Tanoa", but it captures the lush jungle environment in a more forgiving way than Tanoa - that is to say, you'll probably have a better chance of spotting the African Militia (the default OPFOR faction) because the map isn't quite as crowded with jungle clutter as Tanoa.

    2) cTab - we're implementing the Commander's Tablet MOD in Enhanced, to remove a bit of the "magic map" feeling in Arma.  cTab is great for real-time troop reports, BLUFOR tracking, and much more (including helmet cam video and even sending text messages). By implementing it, we're going to restrict the usage of the general map: Map markers and drawings are automatically removed when you're outside of base, but the mission commander can save the markers before the mission begins, allowing for useful planning tools.

    3) Mod changes - a few mods have been removed because they produced errors, weren't kept up to date with Apex, or weren't being used regularly.  Specifically: Clafghan, ALiVE, DAC, the LAV25 Stryker, SMA and the TF47 launchers.  A few mods have also been updated recently, and we'll be keeping up to date with them: Leight's OPFOR is replaced with Project OPFOR, we're upgrading to ACRE 2.2, and the F/A-18 has a new version.  We know some people will really miss some of the great optics available in SMA, so we've implemented the much slimmer FHQ weapon accessories mod which fills this gap and also adds a great deal of awesome optics.

    4) Gauntlet updates:
4A) the player roster function has been completely redesigned: it's no longer just a hint, but its own separate dialogue.
4B) quick saving & quick loading: after you've created a loadout, you can save it in the arsenal, but you can also quick save it in Gauntlet for the duration of the mission. When you respawn, you'll automatically load that gear provided you're in the same slot. Also, you can refresh your ammo with the saved loadout by just selecting the option from ACE when you're near the arsenal.
4C) ASR AI3 and VCOM AI Driving will both be implemented on the server, promising to give a fresh take on how the AI respond to players.
4D) A brand new mission will be introduced with Gauntlet 48, and a few of the missions have been overhauled for better performance and error fixes.
4E) The respawn system uses menuPosition, which works with the FOB vehicle (you can select where you want to spawn).
4F) Beneath the hood, Gauntlet uses a new system to include a single set of files which will make updating the arsenal and MOD/Zeus access very simple, making maintaining the Gauntlet mission much, much easier.
4G) The arsenal has been updated to include APEX gear and weaponry that fit our environment.
4H) There's a new garbage can in base for the OCD types that need to keep the base clean, or you can use a function on the "Keep Calm and Play your Role" sign that clears up the base.

When the Enhanced server is updated to Gauntlet 48 and the required modset, we'll be running N'Ziwasogo for a day or two to make sure all the changes are solid, and then I'll roll out the code to the rest of the maps.  We'll probably schedule a game night for the grand unveiling!

Comments, questions, concerns, post 'em here.

Please do not use this thread to request new Maps, MODs or Features! There is a new area being worked on specifically for that, so hang on for a little bit longer please!
However, still use this thread to discuss any changes that have been made in version 48, including new MODs, Maps and Features that have already been added or removed i this update.

Radfahrer reacted to TheScar in enemy Air @ v2.86L
Since playing I+A v2.86L it came to my notice that enemy air threats are barely any harm anymore ... you get the occasional jet strafing base 90% less than before (not rly a bad thing) - but i have yet to get engaged by air on my runs to missions/general travel.
The enemy choppers guarding AOs do mostly just circle AOs without really engaging to kill/harm and are (to) easy to take out.
On before versions i fired usually 6 Titan AA´s per AO to cut enemy air threats - on current version i barely use 1-2,sometimes there s not even any need of carrying AA at all.
Also, the nublet pilots on EU1 face barely any interruption in their flight lessons - because way to less enemy fighter patrols (currently patroling AO in a 2k radius, then vanish) - which also makes working on radiotower to stop jet spawns basically a waste of time as no consequences have to be faced if radiotower is not taken out in time.

Therefor i suggest reverting enemy CAS behaviour/spawn rate back to  <v2.86L

While I see where you´re pointing at, aren´t there conditions IRL where pilots just cannot fly due to insanely dangerous environmental conditions, like blizzards, storms, extreme fog, etc. etc. ?

    Possible solution :
Organize transports convoy style, 2-3 HEMTT´s to transport troops with, add in the odd Hunter or IFV .
Y´know, driving like that could be fun too and is a definite change of the "usual procedure" of flying everywhere .

EU3 is good because of RULES and the ENFORCING of those rules .
So no matter how "chic", "hip" or "in" or "hot" it is, or ever will be, it still is EU3 :

In short : It´s bigboy´s territory, the oldest and biggest of the bigboys set up some easily followable rules so just stick to them and have your fun with the others .

If you really want to mess about, start up your own dedicated server chockfull of mods and mess about there, but PLEASE, DO NEVER try to undermine the quite lenient ruleset given for EU3, because that is what makes EU3 SO GREAT .
