Apollo
Kyrie, do you see any changes i arma 3 and FPS if you disable the CPU OC? Some say that the FPS problems are due to low CPU usage by the game, and im wondering if OC-ing the CPU might help

Not very good.Headset: Logitech G35 (good for locating sounds)Keyboard: Microsoft Sidewinder X4 Mouse: Logitech MX518, fairly old, but it's still working fine. I play with all render settings at very high, none at ultra. No post processing, 2x AA. I get bad framerates sometimes, but it's ok. My window blinds are see through, so it's hard to see the screen when it's sunny outside. I have created a custom made sun protection system in the upper right corner of the picture. That's that! Kyrie
Kyrie, do you see any changes i arma 3 and FPS if you disable the CPU OC? Some say that the FPS problems are due to low CPU usage by the game, and im wondering if OC-ing the CPU might help I've tried with standard turbo-boost and overclocking to 4.5 the higher the OC the better the FPS although I still need to play around because Arma is a funny old sod when it comes to CPU usage and what's best for it. I still need to try without things like hyper-threading on/off and possibly setting the cores used most with a higher frequency than the others etc but I will post results as and when I test these things out. I tried overclocking using the rampage software, didn't work and for a while I was worried. Not doing it again, i HATE working with PC problems at home as much as i HATE it at work. It makes me want to rape and kill innocent dolphins. IOW, waiting for Bohemia optimizations
Kyrie
I've never liked the ASUS overclocking software, always found it a little unstable and tacky. (I've been using their boards since the original Crosshair #loyal haha). I typically use the boring old multiplier OC as it's less of a brain ache than playing with the base clock, like you said because it does make you want to ruin anything in sight . kamaradski
These organized desks remind me of the good old times i also had more time to spend sitting there. 'ell i practicly used to live only behind my desk, so everything i would ever need would need to be in arms lenght Now however i might be lucky to spend 2 or 3 nights a week... as a result, my desk is as clean as a museum (not a good thing). PS: good to see that most of you atleast a dual monitor setup PSS: Bambi, your desk is not messy, i suspect you just put that there for the picture, hahahaha I love the can of beans tho !!
