  1. I take off the cooler from the GPU and CPU (both without any fans attached to them ^^ ) as in completely remove them from the whole system so I have the metal parts in my hands . Then I´ll get handwarm water with a bit of dishsoap and either one of the pipecleaners or the trusty toothbrush and get those big ass metal coolers squeaky clean . After the cleaning I just let them sit on a towel and dry out completely for at least 24 Hours, rotating them around to from time to time to get out all possible Drops of water that might be left hanging at some surface or odd corner . It´s something one can do if he has the inclination to do so, but it´s not actually necessary since you can get most, if not all, of the accumulated dust out with Mr. Toothbrush and Ms. Pipecleaner . I tend to do that cause I´m a machine tooling engineer and have a weird fetish with good looking , shiny clean metal products and both coolers look pretty sexy .
  2. I like to actually take off the CPU and GPU cooler completely and wash them . After that I let them dry on the air, meanwhile cleaning the rest of the "gymhall" … a toothbrush for my fans and the mobo to dust them off, a nice quick dry wipe follows a shallow vacuuming with the longnose-nozzle on for the case and its dustfilters, followed up by a slightly moist wipe for the outside surfaces of the case which is literally immediately (left hand is moist wipe, right hand is dry wipe) following in the wake of the moist wipe . If you fear for your coolers when taking them off I can recommend flexible pipecleaners (https://www.amazon.com/100pk-Multi-Coloured-Pipe-Cleaners/dp/B002R5R6Y4) for you : they are soft enough on the outside, pull and hold dust really well, are flexible and, most important, long enough to reach from one end of a CPU tower cooler to the other end with enough room to grab onto both ends and wiggle it through the small slots in between the fins . 3. As your resident stealth cyclist I would very much see a resurgence of the good, old, strict #EU3 . This Pepperidge farmer remembers the good times had there on the most random of times .

*Eats the watermelon* What was the question again, I was preoccupied with noms ...
  5. I listen to about everything, as long as it pleases my ears, except for "Schlager" I am able to play guitar, bass, drums . I also write, arrange and record my own music when I find the motivation to do so .
  6. Well, Eagle-Eye, I´ve been playing an awful lot of ArmA in several different communities and seen a few procedures . Bier AIG (a german ArmA community that sadly doesnt exist anymore) had nice domination servers, with tons of people, where either BierAIG members or trusted members of the community were Admining (I´ve been standing on the base, for many a hour, checking the map for people doing shenaniganry, getting lost, answering questions, warning people, educating people, giving out tricks, etc. etc. etc. ) . Sometimes when the Domination mission was all done, it had to get restarted. With that restart sometimes people proposed to leave the helis at home and do the mission in a convoy, which turned out to be extremely new, but still highly entertainable for some of the players that werent playing for as long as others . The other benefit it had was that teamwork had to be near flawless : Comms via chat and TS were buzzing (in some instances we had 30 people on TS, forcing us all to subdivide into INF/LOGI/SUPPORTVECS channels that were reachable via Whispering keys), people started to really play their roles . In the start we would go out from base with a few Trucks, HMMWV and our nerves really strung out from the ambient AI patrols . After 3 or 4 Mainmissions the whole troop would have stolen lots of enemy vehicles to extremely bolster the offensive capacities of the whole convoy and thusly giving everyone something fresh to do . Yes, it required tremendous amount of chatting/TS-ing back and forth to give people an idea of how it would work and at least 2-3 mainmission until everyone knew which vehicle he rode in, who his driver was, where his medics were and were the engineers were, but in the end people always were excited to play ArmA this way and enjoy an esprit-de-corps that was so much more tighter than when playing it in the regular fashion of getting flown to everywhere . For instance and for whatever it´s worth : I got to know Razgriz33 on these servers, not to mention a horde of other players . At least the convoy-styled approach could be tried, and if people really dont like it go back to doing it the old-fashioned way with permanent helitransports . Sorry for the mentioning of a non-existant-anymore ArmA community, but it was one of the best experiences I personally had when playing and many things were tried out on their servers, to both total success and horrible failure . The convoy was a huge success for most of the time when it got instigated . For the waiting and hoping on transport : that can be quite easily mitigated, but not really wholly avoided : have 2 people designated to be Taxidrivers (preferably one of them being an engineer so he can fix broken machinery if some uppsie happens), give them manouverable vehicles and make them ferry the people that were too impatient to get revived by medics in the field back into the action . Yea, that takes time again, but honestly ... we are talking about a computer game that is slower than most by nature, so people should really be a bit more chillaxed and less actionhungry, cause those that are sooooooooo eager to get into the action inside of 15 secs of spawning tend to die first anyway . Besides... yes there might be some non actionfilled times in convoys, but those can easily be enjoyed and used to recuperate a bit before going back into the fray, couldn´t they ^^ Cheers, RaddyDaddy
  7. While I see where you´re pointing at, aren´t there conditions IRL where pilots just cannot fly due to insanely dangerous environmental conditions, like blizzards, storms, extreme fog, etc. etc. ? Possible solution : Organize transports convoy style, 2-3 HEMTT´s to transport troops with, add in the odd Hunter or IFV . Y´know, driving like that could be fun too and is a definite change of the "usual procedure" of flying everywhere .
  8. De nada And for the hands on part : pop on to EU#3 and ask someone to show you something, I think there might be an oddly willing carebear or two around to have the one or the other useful info and procedure handy .
  9. http://forums.ahoyworld.net/forum/96-guides/ http://forums.ahoyworld.net/topic/5235-eu3-roles-weapons/ Have fun and see you !
  10. EU3 is good because of RULES and the ENFORCING of those rules . So no matter how "chic", "hip" or "in" or "hot" it is, or ever will be, it still is EU3 : In short : It´s bigboy´s territory, the oldest and biggest of the bigboys set up some easily followable rules so just stick to them and have your fun with the others . If you really want to mess about, start up your own dedicated server chockfull of mods and mess about there, but PLEASE, DO NEVER try to undermine the quite lenient ruleset given for EU3, because that is what makes EU3 SO GREAT .
  11. RAAAAAAAAAAAZZZZZZZ, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO . Good luck to Captain Dave, steering this awesome ship called Ahoyworld . My <3s for all o´ youses
  12. Not bad . In all honesty, that´s some pretty nice sound designing/layering, so keep at it, mighty Pancaker . Went through all of them . And for the ear-r("& ... Windows volume mixer is a good friend of mine, he protects better than the Lord himself kekekeke.
  13. Late joiner, want to play with you again after all that long time abstaining . If too late, no problems, but then I need you guys to kill all the things MAT style^^
  14. Imma makin´ this short on all of yall behalves and such . AHOY WORLD IS BEST WORLD ! I R done
  15. My condolences and utmost respect to your gran . Time and place are needed to make this salute happen, gimme a shout, I shall be there .
  16. Seeing all this makes me want to try to reattempt the glorious days of "Tank-downhill and jumping into unsuspecting AO´s" from OperationArrowhead in Takistan ... nothing compares to seeing a bunch of tanks jump 200meters wide with over a 100kph into an AO from a mountainside only to rampage straight through the AO with most of the enemy just staring in blank disbelief ... good times, especially when the Infanterists from your side not only watch but rampage with the tanks in their wake
  17. Soooo, any date fixed so far ? Btw: I´m slowly getting there with times, FFB and setup . So very different from AC, still have to give props where its due, the game ain´t half as bad as many want to make it . Only transmission setup leaves me with mixed feelings due to very sparse options . If your´re interested in my progress, my times so far : Dry, 120L fuel, Softs : 6:53.8xx Full wet, 120L fuel, Rains : 7:12.5xx
  18. Fortress-mode and K.o.S it shall be then Avoid the former bar ...
  19. Might wanna take a re-looking at it, irregardless of what irks ya with it ... latest patches did some good work . No clues about in-cockpit desynchronisation ?
  20. Whoever thought planting mines in my bar was a smart move ... sorry to disappoint, Sir, all you´ve accomplished with that is that I´m going to make an inaccessible fortress out of it and to hell and back with the bar thingie
  21. I´ve been driving the `schleife today for about an hour, trying to setup the car for the track . My tips so far : -Forget that cornering guide, PCars version of the Schleife is extremely different in layout, gradients, corner-cambers and placement of bumps/rises and falls of track, so forget about the gearing/speeds shown in that guide, PCars´ cornering-speeds and lines are different . -PCars version is also one of the least flowing versions of this track I´ve ever come across ... not even Forza 1´s or GranTourismo´s layout are such flow-breakers . -DONT go out on track with a full load of fuel, prepare yourself for at least half a dozen pit-stops, because with full fuel-load you will bottom out at every little dip and decline, no matter ride height. Besides that I´ve only got 2 issue with PCars as is : Why the allmighty heck does a change of steering-rack speed not influence the wheel in cockpit at all, it always turns the same (which is far away from being a one-to-one motion synchronised to my wheel) ? Does somebody maybe have a clue as to what kind of error I made with that ? And who at SMS decided it was an awesome idea to have an absolutely abysmally gimped gearing-setup that is nearly absolutely useless in tailoring gears towards a track and it´s corners ? In AssettoCorsa I can manipulate gearing ratios to fit tracks perfectly, in PCars I just can´t . Still looking forward to first corner mayhem with youse Fuzed ? I´d advise you to buy AssettoCorsa . It might not look as "next-gen" as PCars but it has better car-feeling, perfect laser-scanned tracks that DONT deviate from IRL and setup options PCars can only dream of (looking at you transmission-setup, the rest is okay-ish) .
  22. If in doubt or conflicting, battle it out on the track ^^ I´ll try this, not much thought needed. However, after looking at this video, I must say that the Nordschleife in PCars looks VERY VERY different from what I know from AssettoCorsa . With this out of the way I can only say : May the man with the lowest downforce and the best suspension setup win !
  23. Sounds like a good idea, albeit I dont own that game . Im still an AC fanatic, but will get PCars just to have them both and can see for myself whats what now with both Maybe I´ll e able to get it in time to participate in this funny sounding racing shenanigans^^
  24. Signed up ... or with the immortal words of Bob Marley : Try me !
