Hello,
Yesterday was my first time on EU3. Even with the repo update everything worked fine, and I was able to play my first mission with awesome guys, even if we were low on player count.
I just wanted to say that for a new player on EU3, you guys are really understanding and answer lots of questions. That makes a whole lot of a difference and that just makes me want to play more. The play style is what I look for (being a cooperative and teamworking player) so I hope to be able to play as often as I can.
That topic is just a shout out to a great community, and I wish my experience can inspire others who seek the same gaming experience as I am.

So I am guessing from stuff I have glanced on at the forums that there is a small(large?) need for info about Valiant.
Ill give a quick update about where its at now, what has happened since it was first started and where im currently at.
Since the first init of the codebase of valiant I have done :
60 commits during 106 days
Added: 20k lines of code( DAC and the way FSM is regarded in git subtracted roughly).
Removed: around 5k lines of code( DAC and the way FSM is regarded in git subtracted roughly).
Made some alterations in the way the FSMs act, fixed countless stray variables.
Added logging to all relevant states in the states off all mission currently in the framework to ease debugging.
There is currently 4 main missions and 2 side missions, more will be added but mission generating is on hold until my current
feature is completed and tested in a AW TC (coming soon).
Honestly a lot more work that I cant remember cause I probably suppressed cause headaches.
What im currently doing work in is a rewrite of the missions(completed) and other aspects of the mission to accompany
diffrent modsets(ref units etc) so that when it goes public outside of AW. Users\communities have a mission param to
select what modset they use. In the start this will be limited to RHS,CUP and Vanilla as those are the most mainstream IMO.
A Test Candidate will probably be tested on EU#3 in either this weekend or the next one. Ill see how much time I have to work on it tomorrow.
For now here are two pictures of the threats other than ambient you will face.
Positioning will be fixed.

Hello brothers in arms,
As you may or may not have deduced from the title we are implementing a new sort of system in the EU#3 community, the veteran system.
This means that players that meet the qualifications can be added to a new Squad.XML, specially designed for EU#3 Veterans with as motto "Exemplo Ducemus" - which is Latin for 'leads by example', which is exactly what we're expecting from the veterans.
Furthermore we have redesigned the 'Experienced @ EU#3' Team Speak server group into a Veteran tag -with real dogtags, yes- which will, next to being added to the XML, only be handed out to the Veterans.
What we expect from the Veterans is that they - with the new respect their status should give them - provide an example and a grip for both new players and players that have been with us for a while, to show them the ropes and provide them, along with yourself of course, the best playing experience possible.
Seeing we - as staff team - are trying to foster a special environment on EU#3 the selection procedure is going to have a couple of requirements, after you meet the requirements (listed below) and are eager to sign-up you should talk to an EU#3 Moderator, who will pass your name on to the entire moderator team and after a short discussion about the candidate you will hear whether we think you belong on the XML or not.
Requirements:
Should be regularly active in the EU#3 community.
Has been active on EU#3.
Should have a total playtime of around 40 hours on EU#3.
Is able to attend some community events throughout the year. No bans in the last 6 months or warned for serious infractions in last 3 months. Trustworthy in representing the AhoyWorld name and logo. Moderators agree on you getting the tag. (as stated above)
A serious infraction or getting banned will result in losing the status. Also repeatedly cancelling events for invalid reasons will be frowned upon.
Re-instatement will be possible after a cooldown period of either 3 months on any serious infraction or 6 months after recieving a ban. After which you will be watched and any other infraction, however small might still lead to losing the status (again)

Here at AhoyWorld Towers.... well you have to use your imagination, we don't ACTUALLY have any towers, or for that matter any property.
I will point out that Josh volunteered to write up a post and so this is from my POV what's going on, I'm sure his post will be better constructed than mine! here it is anyway
We're rather busy, responding to user feedback (see new moderators and channel stuff), creating new ideas and moving in new directions.
I heard from a few of ya that you wanted to know what the story was for EU3, so here goes: we're in the process of making a new game mode internally but one of our members is working on something too, pace is slow and steady but as we know that's who wins the race. Bringing in new moderators to try and hold the super structure that is our modded server. I would like to say that although our rules may seem a little strange, they were done for a reason (think when you see "do not drink" on a bleach bottle, who's drunk that? for the same reason we have no more than 1 pilot for x amount of players, once upon a time we had more pilots than troops). We're not trying to run a concentration camp either though so apply a little logic, yeah if you're packing light why not carry an AT4 for your anti tank guy. you get the idea. Anyway yes! moderators ahoy.
Lots of events are planned, so much so that i dare put in a DCS event right now but i'm thinking of a guns only pvp air-air hot ramp start scenario, we've got events easily available to see on the news section.
Create your own channel has been adjusted, we're trying out a new approach to try and make this work for you. please show it and us respect, please keep your channel names and descriptions etc simple "MAT4Life" is fine but "lemonparty" is not, admins don't want to be wasting time investigating whatever weird thing you have going on in there and i'm sure you agree their efforts are better placed elsewhere. in short, please respect it and we can keep it

Testing stuff ranging from new mission types for modded to improved server configurations, Kammy is doing magical things behind the scenes over the holidays and we're now able to allocate resources much more effeciently
I still suck at delegating and grenade throwing. If you think that somebody else could answer your question please ask them first, starting from Field Ambassadors, EU3 Moderators (If on EU3) to Admins to Core Staff and finally bother me with your troubles, I am all ears. Internal improvements of which i can't really disclose but stuff does happen behind the scenes to make things better for the front of house.

Hello guys!
With Squad arriving on Steam at 08:00 GMT Tomorrow it’s with pleasure that we announce we already have two Squad servers up and running.
Capitana (US) and Flagship (EU) have been live since the start of the weekend. We will still be playing with the slot amounts but we’re looking over the 60 marker.
Feel free to join the teamspeak channels. The In-game ones are muted to force in-game VON usage.

Introducing: AW_Valiant
So what is this Valiant you speak of ?
Valiant is the natural "Evolution" of Gauntlet as in a lot of stuff could be done
better in gauntlet coding and performance wise in the back-end and instead of
just rehashing and doing stuff to Gauntlet code i decided to just start fresh.
This resulted in a back-end that is in 90% of the cases hassle free to port to a
map as it doesn't rely on preplaced markers etc for missions spawns as it now uses
functions to find different areas etc.
Hopefully this "start from scratch" approach has worked out some
of the quirks Gauntlet had.
It also is alot more modular in terms of settings when you start the mission,
arsenal, spectator etc. are all definable in mission params in the role select lobby.
Okay... cool, so is there anything new ?
Yes! Theres is now side missions running alongside the main missions, there is emplacements
of various kinds(in this alpha it will only be running AAA emplacements).
And im also looking into some other stuff that is still TBA.
Sweet so what should I do ?
I'm stress testing the mission for 2X players this coming date: 13-11-2015 @ 1900GMT
and I need you to put you'r name in this FORM
The first 2X players that sign up is going to get to play and will be briefed about
different aspects before we step off
I hope to see a good turnout for this small stress test of Valiant. -
