    I think this whole year has been a tough one for us all.
     
    Myself and the rest of the gang all seem to have something going on now or through the year which has been a bit of a pain.
     
    Regardless of all that, thank you for sticking by us all and continuing the work where the stars align, we're all grateful.
     
    Thanks for your work Mark, I haven't had the chance to speak to you much but I never doubted how important you have been in the community.
     
    Heres to 2020! I hope that after a much needed Christmas break for us all, the community can rise back up and look forward to what will hopefully be a brilliant year for AhoyWorld.
     
    P.S: @mastif0 should get a freaking award for how much he's donated in the past month or so.

    What a difference a year makes, this time last year we were looking at closing shops and now I would say we are pretty stable for at least another year

     
    As mentioned numerous times before, thank you all for your support and long may it continue.
     
    I would like to apologies on the delay of IA4 and its new AWE counterpart, it has taken a lot longer than we had anticipated due to a number of reasons. (real life) Hopefully it wont be too long now.
     
    Lastly, This will be my last update, I have decided that I will call it time come the end of this month and step down from the staff team completely.
    I just want to thank each and everyone of you for your support especially those in the staff team and to those that brought me in, helped me along the way and trusted me at the top, thank you, you know who you are ❤️

    Ace on EU1 is a little problematic, the mod set has been kept to client side only mods because we want to keep the server as accessible to new players as possible! That means you are not required to download any mods to be able to play. This will hopefully keep the threshold for joining our EU1 server as low as possible.
     
    We also arrange weekly game nights on EU2, where we run TFAR beta on top of the default EU1 mods. This is to ensure better communication and better quality of play and immersion as well. These game nights employ or more coordinated squad and command structure and a specific mission to complete as a team.
     
    ACE among others used to be an essential part of the Enhanced Server (AWE). The Enhanced server has been inactive for a while but the plan is to restart the AWE server once I&A4 is out of beta. As far as I'm aware I&A4 is pretty much feature complete, but we are still ironing out performance issues and the occasional bug.

    Situation
    We as part of the US 1st Cavalry division are tasked with maintaining security in the Mekong river delta. We have setup an airbase known as Mike-3 in order to establish our presence in the area.  We were chosen for this task as this area is largely impassable to ordinary ground forces. Air assault troopers are ideal for this environment. The enemy have been concentrating in this area due to the thick vegetation and hostile terrain. 

    4 weeks into our deployment to Airbase Mike - 3 and a Huey extracting part of second platoon was downed, by a suspected anti air cannon, while returning to base. We are being scrambled to secure the crash site and search for survivors. We are then tasked to secure the immediate area and search for any sign of the enemy and their anti air weapon.

    Insert to a safe LZ, secure and search the crash site. Deny the enemy any salvage. Search and destroy any enemy AA assets.

    Objectives:
    Insert by helicopter.
    Inspect crash site and look for survivors, deny the enemy any salvage.
    Look for evidence of enemy activity and any AA assets.
    Follow any leads, clear the area and return to base.
     
    Movement Plan:
    At Commanders discretion
     
    Rules of Engagement:
    Armed personnel may be engaged on sight.
    Civilians are present in the area so collateral damage is to be kept to a minimum.
    Only buildings clearly being used for a military purpose may be engaged.
    Civilian life must be protected (Hearts and minds)

    Resupply:
    At the commander’s control, assets are available at base to facilitate this.

    Hola, as you might have noticed on server. The zeus ops will return (lead by me) in the near future. I need to work out my time scales with work though as I am about to start 6 day weeks for atleast the next month or so.

    Fair enough. I think creativity and mission quality would suffer if you're finding it a dreadful chore and/or burning you out. That would make the ops toxic and generally ruin the fun. Do them as and when you feel like it's fresh - the historical turn out seems to indicate that Sunday evening is a good time to have an op and it would be cool if we stick to that as a general time slot for whenever one is run (extenuating circumstances notwithstanding)?
     
    Also, I dunno who else is interested in the idea of making a mission - I have dicked around a tiny bit in EDEN and I dunno... are there any guides to mission building that are heartily recommended? It'd be cool to bung a mission up on a Sunday evening some time and with the help of an experienced spartan or 2, make y'all have a good skirmish.

    I do however also very much understand the feeling of being burned out by doing them weekly, it is a lot of hard work and as always sometimes a mission or parts of them stir up some drama, which can be tiring. I also understand the time constraints and the toll doing these missions place on RL and vice versa. I myself rarely get anything done uninterrupted between working and the kid growing up.
     
    However I would like to keep things open by suggesting we take a little break and see what the situation is in a few weeks. I'd also like to remind everybody that if anybody has any mission suggestions, ideas for single or multiple game nights don't be afraid to share them, together we can make these missions come true as and for the community!

    I have been enjoying AhoyWorld a lot. And to be fair it is pretty much the best server for people who dont want to be super serious about milsim. I am in lovewith being a medic on the field without any guns reviving people. The other day i came accross this Advanced Medical mod by ACE and I thought it would be a great idea if it could be added as a suggested mod in the Normal server. I hope you take my suggestion into consideration! Keep up the great work with ANNEX v4 as well :)

    Hey all after some time away due to no computer I'm Back.
    a year ago I used to be here every day piloting or soldering. I am happy with a new IGN of Rope monkey I used to be called Lonewolf. or wolf.
    I'm a 29 year old Muppet who spends a lot of time on arma. who lives in Scotland Fife.
    I am looking on improving my skills in zeus I have dicked around in some public zeus spaces to try and host some fun missions.
    I would like to join the Public Moderation team as well as Zeus once I've been trained if possible.

    So as some of you know already I am planning a lightly modded Vietnam campaign for the Friday night mission slot.
    To do this we will be using just 3 mods to make it as accessible as possible to the entire community. 
    For anyone who currently plays on our EU2 Zeus ops has just 1 more mod to download.

    We continue our push South to liberate our homeland. We have learned that NATO comms for the area are being routed through a single array. Our task is to access this array to gain any intel available and then to destroy the array to cover our tracks. Secondly since we will be behind enemy lines we will free the town of Gieraltow as we will have bypassed the towns defences.
