Moved bases. Removed 2 of 5 Ghosthawks, replaced with 1 Huron + 1 Littlebird. Added V-44 Vehicle Transport (needs Apex to fly). Added Vehicle Lift Zone. Changed the base boards. Completely changed how Zeus users are handled. Removed ability to spawn Hunters/Prowlers. Added more flares to rotorcraft (still needs tweaking). Added Pilot Respawn Changed loading screen image.

Thought I'd share some circuit training, I'm currently just over halfway through my training. Next up for me is cross county and then solo cross country. AMA chaps on this flying malarky and I'll try to answer it.
 

So i was wondering are the containers in the landing pads on EU1 & 2 meant to be functional or are they just there for esthetics?  Because at the moment you can't rearm nor repair at them.  
Now if they are meant to be esthetics forget what i'm about to say.
 
If they are meant to be functional i suggest to alter something in how they are placed down.  At the moment the following code is in their init field (well technically not but it boils down to this):
this allowDamage false;
this enableSimulation false;
 
For those who don't know what this means, because of the first one the object cannot take damage.  The second one does a number of things including disabling all functions (including refueling/rearming) and prevent it from being slingloaded. 
Now i think the second one is in there to prevent it from being lifted.  The same result can be achieved with the following code:
this allowDamage false;
this setMass 999999;
This also prevents choppers from lifting the containers and doesn't disable the functions of the containers.

So what do you guys think of this?

So I tried AhoyWorld for the first time last night, after watching one of Leutin09's videos.  Sure enough I bumped into TheScar the second I joined AW EU1  He was thrilled to see another newb I'm sure.
 
Anyway, I've been playing ARMA (or should I say Operation Flashpoint!) since the original OFP.  I remember playing OFP1 online with some dutch guys many moons ago, but since then things have got in the way, family, renovations, work, the usual stuff.  I still don't get much time to spend online but having spent a couple of hours last night on this, I think I've found something I could sink my teeth into.  
 
I'd love to get a bit more involved, but with 2 young kids, time is a bit of a premium so I'm unlikely to be able to guarantee a timeslot every week!  I'm a software developer with 10 years experience having graduated in 2005, so would be very interested in helping out with any of the techy parts of the community.  (Speaking of which, the OAuth link to sign up with Google is broken, as is the link to the "Introduction Forum" in the message sent to me when I signed up  )

Hope you all had a good Christmas! I've recently found Ahoy on Arma3 and I joined it because I really enjoy the people I meet and see on the server. 
I used to play with a team before Ahoy over a year ago. I was an Apache Pilot for the squad so I did air assault missions with them and also transport helicopter missions flying hellcats.
 
A little about me, I'm 18 years old 19 in feb from the UK. I'm currently in college completing Public Services level 3 wanting to become a RAF Police officer when I leave (Yes hate me). I used too play rugby but I got hurt and I didn't want anymore injuries before joining the RAF so now I do power lifting. I make music as a hobby so anyone into edm music hit me up haha.
Always been into gaming it's a huge part of my life I think when I meet people in real life who like gaming you take your friendship further by going home from college and jumping on games and having even more laughs with them. Unbeatable. 
 
I hope too hear from some new people soon and get on teamspeak and grow some bollocks and talk to people. I'm a keen pilot so any pilot slots on Arma I will steal just saying haha.

Doesn't sound like us, are you 100% sure this was our server? We are the original creators of the I&A mission and more than 100 other communities use our mission. We regularly have people appear who aren't actually on our servers. Please PM me the video and I'll investigate for you.

Please don't lecture me on good forum etiquette, I have been running and administering forums for many years and do not need your input.
 
Let's look at the facts.
 
Up until his post the time line was as follows.
 
I posted on here after a particularly frustrating session on server 2 where every side mission was failed or spoiled by a couple of the usual suspects either bringing vehicles to the side mission when the only possible outcome of that scenario is a fail. Or people using AT to the same end.
 
There were then a couple of ON SUBJECT posts (Yours included) which although I feel where a bit wishy washy and non committal and basically admit there is a problem but say that we have to play wacky races to finish the side missions were offering opinions to the subject.
 
At that point PiranhA took it upon himself to step in on behalf of ALL AHOY members (of which he isn't one by the look of his tag) and to point out that I was insulting afore mentioned members. There was no constructive suggestions to my original post at all, not even a "Suck it up" suggestion like the previous ones.
 
THIS could actually be considered trolling if taken by it's definition.
 
The reason I posted this on here originally is that I was playing on an AHOY server, not an IGN server or Bohemia server but an AHOY server and although I have tried explaining the way side missions work IN GAME it is not the easiest was to do it as you're chat disappears too quickly and the in game voice comms isn't for this purpose.
 
My  hope was that if just ONE person who does this kind of thing read it and thought "Hey, that's me that does that, so that's why the side mission fails" and didn't do it again it would be a win. but obviously this is not the helpful, receptive forum that I assumed it was and will not bother posting again with this kind of attitude prevalent.

I see why you are frustrated, I has happened to me before. You take time to sneak into the side mission and someone comes in guns blazging. Then I remember I am playing on a public server, where gameplay differs from player to player. It`s not supposed to be following chain of command, ROE, etc.., it`s a server where people come to have some fun, shooting AIs, competing who gets the most kills.
 
We have our Enhanced server that might suit you, see its subsection.
 
Now the offtopic rant:
Every member of the forum (not just AW members) has a right to post its opinion/suggestion/critique in a civilized manner. I believed no one crossed that line. They all stated their honest opinion that is equal to yours, they only added a "solution". I see no reason why you think they had a go at you.
