    Wagwan one and all,

I'v always been interested in media; video production, graphic design and motion graphics to be more precise. This interest has led me to learn a thing or two about a couple of Adobe's graphical and motion software such a premiere pro, after effects, photoshop and audition. Another interest I have is playing video games, so, i thought i'd bring them both together. I have spent some time playing around in After effects and photoshop to come up with some cool looking intros with relation to Ahoy World for anyone who is apart of the community to use for their videos that they wish to publish. Now, by no means do i make any money out of what i do, i produce motion graphics etc purely for the fun of it, and i hope that you use these for the fun of it as well, but i have no problem if you have a monetized YouTube channel or what have you and you would like to use them, they are free for the taking (with credit to the Ahoy World community) for use online.

Anything made will be put in THIS FOLDER for you to download, or, if you wish to do so, you can simply use A WEBSITE LIKE THIS to download the videos straight off YouTube.

Here is some of the work that has been published so far. I have more to come, and if their is anything that you would like making, weather it is related to the community or not, feel free to drop me a message and ill look into maybe getting something sorted out . In the mean time, for those of you wishing to record your gameplay for the upload to YouTube for viewing by others, or for the use of evidence in relation to a matter on one of the server, i am in the process of making an easy tutorial to show you how to set up OBS, a free recording and broadcasting softwhere. This video will be released in the new year, once i'v recovered from the 29,000,000 turkey sandwiches that i will consume after chrimbo day.

Here a simple Intro for your videos:

And for you Spartans our there, here something for you:

And lastly, this video is an example of an opening sequence for a YouTube video, with a bit more of a professional feel to it than most other YouTube Videos out there:

For those of you who do not know, Ahoy World has its very own YouTube channel and twitch.tv channel that can be found HERE and HERE appropriately, Go hit it up with a little sub and follow, to keep up to date with the latest shenanigans and fails from our much loved administrative team.

If you have any questions or queries, please feel free to contact me on the website or on TeamSpeak. I hope you enjoy using these resources to enhance your viewers experience.

And remember, use your collision lights appropriately!
    Kinds regards,

Please don't lecture me on good forum etiquette, I have been running and administering forums for many years and do not need your input.

    Let's look at the facts.

Up until his post the time line was as follows.

I posted on here after a particularly frustrating session on server 2 where every side mission was failed or spoiled by a couple of the usual suspects either bringing vehicles to the side mission when the only possible outcome of that scenario is a fail. Or people using AT to the same end.

There were then a couple of ON SUBJECT posts (Yours included) which although I feel where a bit wishy washy and non committal and basically admit there is a problem but say that we have to play wacky races to finish the side missions were offering opinions to the subject.

At that point PiranhA took it upon himself to step in on behalf of ALL AHOY members (of which he isn't one by the look of his tag) and to point out that I was insulting afore mentioned members. There was no constructive suggestions to my original post at all, not even a "Suck it up" suggestion like the previous ones.

THIS could actually be considered trolling if taken by it's definition.

The reason I posted this on here originally is that I was playing on an AHOY server, not an IGN server or Bohemia server but an AHOY server and although I have tried explaining the way side missions work IN GAME it is not the easiest was to do it as you're chat disappears too quickly and the in game voice comms isn't for this purpose.

My  hope was that if just ONE person who does this kind of thing read it and thought "Hey, that's me that does that, so that's why the side mission fails" and didn't do it again it would be a win. but obviously this is not the helpful, receptive forum that I assumed it was and will not bother posting again with this kind of attitude prevalent.

The incentive is the amount of people playing on the server. Basically keeping the server alive.
No leader = fucking about at base = bored players = people leaving = low player count Squad leader = structure = people being busy with mission = fun = high player count (assuming people listen)  -> this is where origins point comes in, if people don't listen to the leading element people won't take the slot, meaning we are back at point 1

TLDR just listen to the chain of command and all of this could have been avoided.

That would be admin/zeus abuse. And then we would be deep in the shit for it.

While I don't like damaging others gameplay on server, I feel that unfortunately sometimes you have to do drastic things on server to get people to listen when they are pissing around. Unfortunately when people are pissing around it ruins other peoples gameplay, often whoever is commanding. In this case origins did something that has woke people up to this fact. I understand why he did it, I've sat people down at debrief, or even half way through a mission and shouted at them for their stupidity. Each commander has their own way of doing things. If this is what it takes to wake people up to this issue on EU3 then I can't say I'm against taking such actions. What needs to be happening is the community needs to help commanders, moderators and staff to show those who piss around, it is not acceptable. It is not something that we can do without players standing up too, or we have to resort to doing things in this kind of way.

On a different note, if we followed the moderator strategy of warn, kick, ban. Then by now I'd say half of the player-base would have been banned for pissing around. And then we would really be accused of abuse.

I'm going to say something unpopular here, and almost ignorant. Somebody has to say it though.
If making you run up and down that runway pissed you off, good. I wouldn't want to make you do it, but quite frankly if that's the only way some of you are going to wake up to the shitfest that is going off, then I am not against it at all. Stop people from pissing around, show them that it is unacceptable, and then this shit wouldn't have to happen.

Ahoyworld needs players to carry on operating and allowing people to enjoy the servers, if Google lost a bunch of users to Bing do you think they would be particularly happy?

Actually yes, there was a miscommunication over the teamspeak bans as we had planned to talk to them before dropping the hammer and it was me who was out the loop on that. The actions from them in the aftermath have been rash and obstructive, we clearly explained why we did what we did, everyone is welcome to start their own community and play in both communities, it causes a problem if you link directly to the other one covertly, that is foul play and those who got banned shouldn't be upset that they got caught out, calling us hitlers for actually enforcing our rules is just childish. We haven't banned anyone who is innocent. I asked them if it would be okay to do the same thing and link to 77th JSOC (for an example, we have no beef with them) and they refused to answer so that just leaves me to believe that they thought because it was a small community we would let them advertise.

@SirMurficus this is certainly what we strive for but in a community of this size we can only get so far and we can't please everyone unfortunately, but we try. It is unfortunate but cliques develop and they split, it happens to all communities and if their community is successful it will happen to them too and they'll be unjustly called hitlers, it is how it works unfortunately.

Pistolfreak,  TvT is not something you should expect in an arma unit.  It's usually only on occasions where Arma units play a bit of TvT.
When it comes to the flying,  your 2 steps ahead of the entire unit.  From what I understood of the guys in charge is that we are focusing on the  infantry part first.  Before that's all set up we are a long Way underway.

Imo: What Razor said: you also need extra armament.  I personally think afm is cool,  but that is more something for a more veteran unit.  But then again,  that is my opinion.

Its not worth it, bad pilots are easy enough to name and shame. Plus, there must be hundreds of competent pilots that play over the two servers, this idea is suggesting that we somehow screen them all and judge their piloting skills? It will just take too long.

I don't see the benefit of terrain blocking the radios with ACRE, yes its added realism but for proper realism we'd have a way of communicating anywhere on the map such as a sat-phone or something similar. On Takistan especially I've seen many people type messages as they can't get hold of anyone even over long range.
