  1. A Unit generally is a group of like minded individuals that like to either fully simulate or partly simmulate (millsim/realism) a regiment/division in Arma 3. This can include calling people by rank or even ''saluting'' in order to enhance the immersion for the players. Those are just two from the top of my head. Usually this has a core setup of players, which is usually the infantry but most of the cases it has alot of extra attachments around it, such as a Air wing or Armored platoons. And yes there are casual communitys that call themselves ''unit`s'' but imo they are not. They are just a community, which can be great fun too. Dont get me wrong! Generally speaking, CO-OP is the way to go when talking about Arma units. . Just as we have sporadic gamenights, units have sporadic TvT nights (from my own experience). I hope this helps. If you want to see a list of units to get an idea of how they do things check the official site from arma 3 units here: https://units.arma3.com
  2. Pistolfreak, TvT is not something you should expect in an arma unit. It's usually only on occasions where Arma units play a bit of TvT. When it comes to the flying, your 2 steps ahead of the entire unit. From what I understood of the guys in charge is that we are focusing on the infantry part first. Before that's all set up we are a long Way underway. Imo: What Razor said: you also need extra armament. I personally think afm is cool, but that is more something for a more veteran unit. But then again, that is my opinion.
  3. Well, it`ll be something with a set schedule so I presume we will al find out if we can make said days. Apart from possible training days unit`s usually have 1 op every week in a campaign or something similiar. Is that what you have in mind Chris?
  4. They are all processed and looked at, we comment at them and we proceed to develop them into missions or manuals or guides if they are suited for them.
  5. I would have loved to join this but unfortunately not available at the time. Have fun guys!
  6. Worth the read, good stuff Skullcollector! I agree with the gentleman above me, spoilers can be utilized!
  7. Whoops, when I was checking it on mobile I thought people had to sign up for this time my bad
  8. Let's flow these applications to the roof!
  9. Thanks for the big reply Colsta. If you still have questions please check the pinned threads in this sub forum, and feel free to contact eu3 moderators and/or members in ts. I also suggest you check out some basic arma 3 guides. I think "shactac" has some good basic guides for serious players! Oh and... Welcome!
  10. I wonder since the new kid generation won't know dayZ for what it was if it will stay like this or if the community kind of "resets" in future arma titles. Hopefully...
  11. Thanks for your feedback. My answers: 1. The waiting was not because of the Zeus. Waiting is on command needing to get everyone set which takes a long time as you should know by now . I did create assets before hand, there was never waiting on the mission itself. 2. Desync was indeed not fixed, debugging in the coming days to fix it, something to do with a script executing on the server (loop). Very sorry about that. 3. I could create initial plan for platoon commander so it safes time. Idea? 4. You were very squishy as blufor, eu3 team is constantly trying to optimize it. 5. Noticed and already working on it ! Again, thanks for the feedback!
  12. Will be third enabled. Dont ask why
