    Have to agree with Chris on this one! You can't throw the toys out a pram because a gamenight failed. I've hosted a lot of game nights and I'd say over a quarter of them failed because I made a minor mistake. It happens but we all move on. 
     
    No need to get all angry and shit towards people though.

    Well bye I guess ? Cant count on two hand how many GN's was cancelled cause I fucked up in the start. 
     
     
    The rule was proposed and set in stone by the whole moderating team and approved by me to prevent broken gamenights to happen to frequently. Its not to be cruel or anything its for the whole of the community, dont know how many times a GN has been delayed cause i fucked up something or not testing a script on a proper dedi(MP Paradrop yaaay...).
     
    I don't know what you mean by staff cruelty, that you can PM me about and I can hear your story and "my" staffs story.
     
    And finally, whats this about me not sharing ? You never asked me about mission design and if you have asked and i have had time i would have helped you out. You don't go sucker punching me like that,ever for something that has not happened! You could have asked Ryko to on input about it. But hey lets slag off the one who has had so much RL work this two weeks that he couldn't be online much  to be a unhelpful bastard when you haven't asked him a damn thing.

    I'm sorry your mission didn't work. Making missions work properly in Arma can be very frustrating. I should mention that at no point did Lad reach out to either Kenny or myself for guidance about what works on EU3, we were just presented with mission files.
     
    I'm not sure how we were being cruel, other than perhaps assuming that Lad knew what he was doing and not intersecting sooner.  But we currently have our own fish to fry.

    Christiansen has worked on the EU3 Mission for almost 3 years, and has the right to his work if to share or not.
    Banned for a month from creating game nights? Well the last three missions failed, rules are rules.
    and to be honest you have not asked everyone, I've been on this whole week and not once have i seen you come in to EU3 and ask people if they would test your mission.

    "to identify themselves" this isn't an life RP server or eu1, adding packs that do nothing to game play [ie gas masks] is pointless and should not be added for the sake of one or two people.

    Foreword
    So I wanted to get a playstyle i miss from my A2 days rolling again if there is a will and interest in it in the eu3 section. It would be on a diffrent server with a altered modset i.e : ACE3,ACRE,ALiVE(need this for MSO functionality), CUP Terrains, Leights Opfor pack and finally the RHS Mods. This is to make things uniform and easier to make diffrent MSO missions for as the assets can stay the same.
     
    Playstyle/Setup
    In terms of action on these kind of sessions would be in the start mostly boring as with all operations you would need to setup FOBs and such in the start and supply them on the other hand while doing preliminary tests I found that sometimes the AI would push quite a bit down from their start points downwards on the maps. I have set the mission up on takistan but I kinda feel the map is small so I might look into CLafghan because of the distances and more varied(read hills) terrain.I need to checkup on how the AI\CIV pop functions on it before deciding.
     
    Loadouts would be forced, there is no arsenal.
     
    But when the FOBs and supply points are setup we can start doing patrols and dealing with the insurgent forces, the way we do that is to observe the locals and talk  to the locals for information regarding forces and installations they might have setup(IED factories,roadblocks,recruitment HQs etc.)
     
    Squads\Signup
     
    Forces would be setup almost the same as Gauntlet with a few additions/alterations:
    PLTCO [CMD]
    Alpha
    Bravo
    Charlie
    FSG <- All heavy weapons and JTAC is now attached to them as FSG is in the operations but not to close(read support fire)
    LOGI <- In charge of all resupply and FOB constructions supplies, would need a quick brief from me cause (bless arma) you need to alternate between the ACE menu and ALiVE's menu to load and the move construction materials.
    AIR <- Predominantly for recon and occasional support if shit hits the fan. 
     
     
    Planning and execution
    If the leader slots fill before we hit the weekend 27th-29th May, ill hold a ts meeting for the leaders of the teams where we will sketch out a rough plan for the first stage of the mission i.e : Setting up\moving supplies and assets to the FOB before the hotzone.

    Server info and rules
    Seing as this will take time and effort on everyones part to get going I would like to keep it strict as possible in regards to "faffing about" when we are ingame, atleast in the base when we are stepping off. You can banter all you like when on patrol as long as no one has any objections to it. Yes this might sound like milsim, deal with it.
     
    All in all rules and such would be gamenight rules etc.
     
    Server would be running alives war room extension so that the people who would like to can view the After Action Reports etc.
     
    Afterwords
    This is something I personally miss and would like to make possible again and I hope atleast some of you like the idea of a more "slow" based gameplay instead of having a set objective.
    This is still in the planning phase so any objections etc would be taken into consideration but arsenal isnt one of them

    On EU3 often people are looking for a little bit of extra fun or realism and want to parachute into the ao, or the ground is too hostile to land and landing is not an option; however, when parachuting you can not have a backpack with you. This is not only unrealistic but it is also annoying. Militaries around the world do parajumps and when they do, their equipment from their back is carried on their chests, and that is what this mod does by using the ACE interact menu. Although sometimes their are graphical glitches, when you land your backpack is always with you. I have tested with the EU3 repo mods and it works flawlessly with all types of items in the bag. I think this would be a great addition to EU3 so if u think so too please reply.

    What's with the trolling, if someone regrets, or even dislikes their own post due to being heated when they made the post.
    They have the right to take it back,
    No need to be a A-hole and try and spark something when there is no need,
    Should be grateful that they have seen their mistake and had whatever respect for you to remove it.
    (I.e this is a heated post due I hate posts like that one)
     
    And to stay on topic, I do Dislike the force PTT, but if the admins have decided to take this action then it must be needed for whatever reason they deem fit.
    And they have said that some people will be aloud to have the option not to use PPT.

    I agree with what Raz says, it is completely up to the Squad leader and team leaders.
     
    In my eyes, having everyone on one frequency can get a bit hectic, especially when a Alpha 1 rifleman calls out on the radio a contact on the other side of the AO to Alpha 2, they dont need to hear it.
     
    I usually use the two team with 1 channel for leaders, it's how I do it and it's how it's usually done in reality to my knowledge.
     
    Once again, its up to the leaders what they want to do, to be comfortable is to be efficient.

    Hello there,
     
    So me and Johnson were thinking how cool it would be for a collection of PVP gamenights, would be both fun and easy to set up as I have already thought about these ideas for months but never been able to show them.
     
    Basically, I'm hoping to host gamenights where they would be PVP campaigns or sometimes just scenarios.
     
    So the PVP gamenights would act like campaigns, basically having a back story and each battle having a motive which will add to the fun and diversity of the missions. It can start off in any way, whether it be: Invasion, ambush or half way in a war. The possibilities are endless!
     
    Here's a quick campaign idea I thought about a while back. Here's the idea:
     
    After the Russian Federation attacked American Forces stationed in Brandenburg, the Americans have retaliated and pushed the Russian forces deep into the Czech Republic. Russian forces have multiplied there forces and the fight is now at a stand still in Chernarus. Fighting at the front line is fierce and Americans are now suffering staggering losses at the might of the strengthened Russian front. The American forces must think of a plan fast before they lose the Czech Republic, get pushed back into Germany and risk a full on Russian invasion.
     
    Here's the situation according to the map:

     
     
     
     



     
    I will explain how the mission works and what exactly is going on in this campaign so long as the idea is allowed. I will also figure out times to when these gamenights happen.

    May not sound as good as I hoped but it will be serious fun if put into play, I guess what I really need is some Michael Bay base drops.

    Quick note to clear some things up: No, this will not involve like 60 vs 60, we simply do not have the players so we wont be fighting everywhere on the map, it will be scaled down to a small region to fit what I expect will be 15/20 vs 15/20.

    There are Full screen night vision, But little more blur (which hurt the hell out of my eyes, so i will never use), And to be honest the tunnel vision with the night vision is pretty balanced for the advantage of seeing in the dark.

    Any chance we could have another few training nights people could maybe attend to then be whitelisted to a slot that the training session corresponds to?

    I know the attempts to training nights have been attempted before and have never gone great but just having a sign up thread to maybe Sunday training sessions to allow players to gain access to slots that could be locked for players who havent completed the training (like Platoon Command, Medic, HAT, Pilot that kind of stuff)

    Hell, I'd love to even help host them or provide any help needed if this was to go ahead as its something which might be fairly efficient!

    Either way this swings I'm still loving playing on EU3 and for almost a year now so good job gents and thanks!
