    Hello @EastonRodgers,

You have been banned at the end of May in 2020. The reason for your ban is stated as trolling in the form of questionable behavior toward fellow players and racism when you joined the server as FENRIR playing as part of unit [1488] sporting a Nazi swastika as the unit tag. Judging by the effort of creating a unit and using the unit tags including graphics I must conclude some effort was made specifically to display the Nazi symbology.

I'm sure I do not need to point out that this breaks several of the Ahoy World rules, but I will anyway.

I cannot spot any sign of remorse, indication of growth as a person since the ban or even a promise to play by the rules in the future which begs the question, why should you be unbanned?

Art3misZA reacted to AhoyWorld in Public Statement about Harassment
AhoyWorld is made by its players. We must recognise that our actions shape the community as a whole, and affect other people in particular.

AhoyWorld is a welcoming community that respects its members and visitors. We expect everyone to maintain this environment and will take action against those who jeopardise that community spirit.

Today, we removed a player who did not recognise this. In their actions, they deeply unsettled those involved and repeatedly crossed boundaries directly set by the other party. These boundaries become our own from the moment they are laid out. Now, we are laying them bare for everyone to abide by.

We are an inclusive community where everyone is treated as equal. Standing or length of stay do not absolve a member of the community from ignoring this fact.

We will not tolerate harassment of or indiscretion towards other members of the community.

If you see somebody cross personal boundaries, your voice matters. You can always bring any concern and fear of yours to our open ears as staff and people. You can always give the person involved a poke and ask if they are alright with the goings-on; it is better to ask than to ignore.

From all of us, thank you. Take care.

I feel that this adds variety to the challenge of these objectives. If everything were to be cleared in the same way, things would feel repetitive. Loading with explosives and planting them adds more than just pure pew pew.

I have said this before and strongly feel it is important to consider when making changes but if one spoonfeeds players too much they will get bored and either leave or look for their own entertainment.

I also have to ask a question here, Piccle.  Do you not think that perhaps these things are bothering you more because you have been enjoying the more structured gameplay that EU3 offers lately and now get frustrated at the casual nature of EU1? Once you step across that line, it does become apparent how different the two environments are.
  10. Thanks

I am going to be quite frank here. As Spartan, I really don't want to sit and watch out for more things that could be seen as "disruption" or "breaking the rules". There is already plenty to keep busy with.

I also feel that the handful of players who do engage in this sort of thing as, Lindi has already commented, have gained the knowledge and experience to do so. It is impressive to keep a tank alive for so long. Plus, if a player has hit side missions until the dice has rolled for the tank he prefers, kudos to him. He deserves that tank and this usually results in a lot of other rewards sitting in the reward pool for general use. The same applies to Zeus Ops. If people get a reward and take care of it, props to them.

In my opinion, while no doubt this is frustrating at times for infantry, I have yet to see it be so extreme that most of an AO is cleared and people on the ground have little to do. The converse also happens where there is little to no AT and AOs stay up for far longer than normal as people struggle to take care of the armor. This is just dependent on the specific day and the players active.

At the end of the day, you cannot police everything and it will create a rigid environment where players will stop having fun being able to do what they do.
  11. Thanks
Art3misZA got a reaction from Pickle in Heavy Armament Abuses -Denied-
In relation my my missions, I only do this because I design my missions for infantry as the players seem to get the most fun out of this and it also prevents questions or policing of players who think Zeus Ops work the same as other missions on the server. I could, for example, put together something that requires armor or mortar but this is just due to my personal preference.

    Situation
For the last 3 years there has been an unofficial cease fire during religious holidays. That is until today. While the majority of our forces are on leave for this holiday or are using the time for maintenance the enemy have attacked. In an overnight assault they have attacked and seized the capital of Bolabongo and many of its residents. Caught off guard they were also able to capture several senior government officials who are believed to be being held as bargaining chips. Having moved North during the holiday cease fire, the CHADS seem to be the force best placed to respond.

    Hello Members, Donators and Guests,

Welcome to 2021! This is a new year for the World and our Community. Ahoyworld would like to thank all the Donators for your donations towards our community and hope that you continue to as we are reliant on them. This year will be full of good times with friends and new friends on our Public/Modded servers but also on our TeamSpeak server as well (ts.ahoyworld.net) so come and join us if you would like. This year will also be full of Events so keep an eye on our Events page for the full details ranging from Multiple Session Operations (MSO) to Campaign like Zeus missions (regular Mission Makers) to Game nights hosted by individuals like you.

If you would like more information on any of these there will be links for you to click on below. But here is the low down on these:
MSO - Multi Session Operations, we used to use ALiVE but due to instability we switched to just hosting Zeus game nights with a story that spans several weeks. First person only and a somewhat higher immersion mod count. RP is highly encouraged. Tends to put players in hard spots vs AI.

Campaign mission - On our Enhanced server we have regular modded missions. Emphasizing tactics and teamwork.

Game nights - If you've come up with a mission that you would like to run on our servers, this is how you can do it! We have a framework available as a good starting point for your ideas (Mission creator framework), and when the mission is ready, you simply fill out a game night request found here(Game night request form). Staff will work with you to test your mission, make any necessary changes, and find a slot for it in our events calendar.  Can be as simple as a Zeus enhanced I&A session, to custom missions with mods.

first of all, thanks for the feedback in the ddebrief aswell, i made a few mistakes in the mission code, namely the respawn point not moving to the airfield and smaller, luckily unnoticed by you all tidbits. The missing file error you got was because i had to severly cut down on the custom sounds and more anomaly types and i accuentally cut one more in the final update of the mission, otherwise the mission file would have been 25+mb, and we all know how arma servers and mission file downloads are funky.

On the discussing player decisions. Well, i can, because im not in any shape of form associated with AW staff stuff, im just a simple community member and i will say things nobody likes to hear.
So i rewatched the stream from Frozt's pov, hmm... the comments from the start to the end about ditching everyone, general disrespect and just booking it, deliberately disobeying orders and deliberate lies, just disgusting. I will not make and sacrifice my own time to run another mission, hell, i wouldnt have done it in the first place if i knew this is the attitude. Specific target was "no man gets left behind". Noone. I dont care, flip the situation, how do you feel about that. This happened in the last hellenmaa mission (chads and russian invasion) that should have been a clue for me, but silly me, i thought the talks about teamwork after that incident actually meant something.

So i have to say this. Absolute disgrace of a behaviour Charlie. Dont you dare talk about teamwork again, i would not trust you to walk my dog, let alone work with you, or god forbid let you lead a mission from command again. If you participated, or just stayed silent in the face of that behaviour, shame on you. I will not tolerate this type of behaviour from anybody, and lucky you i had no time to closely monitor you all... otherwise i would have called the whole thing off after 15 minutes.
(one of the many disgusting behaviour on display https://clips.twitch.tv/ShortLachrymoseOysterPlanking ill leave the otherwise just berating comments out for now, stream is there you can find em all)
If you will just disrespect the community, the staff, the command, and the mission maker's efforts, why show up at all?

As for future ops from me, i have only 2 options left. Either i dont make any of them because of the displayed attitude will continue and just be a waste of my time, potentialy ruining everyone elses fun and invested time aswell
    OR
specify that certain ppl are not allowed to participate.

BTW Charlie, you went loud after 15 minutes, because even tho you were walking in a tight column which offers great flank security and the opportunity to keep the audio footrpint as light as possible, you managed to walk up next to an unsuspecting search party withing 50 meters, ai on 5% spot accuracy started firing at you. That set off all the teams, about 150 ai were on the hunt, then you ditched the others and left them to deal with the shit you stirred up.
And the blue on blue incident? that was the russian guy NE (cant remember exactly, its on stream), you all whipped towards the friendly team on your north-ish (they were engaged by those AI on their east) and took potshots at them, they returned fire. Watch it on the stream. Frozt got the guy who hit Karate. Quick to judge and blame imo, but in light of the previous displayso n stream, cant say im surprised.

Compare Frozt's streams from the last op (op sidestep) and this.

To finish on a higher note
For Command, Alpha and Bravo, kudos great job even your flank wasnt protected. Peeling back from engagements before you get pincered, holding them off long enough to set up another hasty fighting position for covering the retreating team. Thats teamwork, and its a shame that wasnt streamed. Great work and great fun, shame it was spoiled at the end, but hopefully not ruined forever.

Sorry to disappoint with the aliens.... maybe next time, or maybe somebody else. Hopefully the spook level can be kept up with that aswell.

Unfortunatley for charlie, they ended up as the anvil, getting hit every time, stumbling into contact after contact right after the 1st objective, dooming them into the combat->medicing up->combat cycle, delayed their movements and eventually got them left behind by the other teams. Unfortunate events seemed to follow charlie as the first round of extract helo had a little bit of a malfunction, further delaying the roll, denying the chance to reset on the last objective.

Good job everyone sneaking past the patrols, doing the execution style pop-pop (was pretty cool to watch a whole team drop), hiding from the trucks, ducking between patrols, threading the needle, and switching to be loud as the situation developed. Again, unfortunate events like a domino effect put in more and more wait time, which at the end staggered the teams pick-ups and relocations enough to have charlie completely (well, almost, they saw the emp wave and even got hit by it) miss out on the last objective.

I was contemplating a 3rd vortex slot, but then decided against it convincing myself, the turn out wouldn't be more than 24 (thats 3 full birds), now i see i made an error there. As well as with the emp script, which i now know where it could be optimized. At least the fps seemed okay up until that point.

As per enemies phasing through walls on the last objective, well, hand placed buildings, garrisoned ai and reacting to contact ungarrisoning them and arma features sometimes pushes a few of them through the walls.

If Midnight wants to take another week off at some point, maybe i can revisit the alien theory with better scripts and less errors. Maybe.

    Thanks everyone
