The state of the enhanced server is worryingly quiet. We have listened to the community many times and the outcry for a smaller mod-set was wanted, we delivered and yet the status barely changed. So we have decided to close the server for a short period of time, this will allow us to take the time out to look into the modset, mission and overall direction of the server. We will keep you updated as to the status of the server here.
 
The server will close on the evening of sunday 27th january. We hope it will be back soon to offer a new modded arma experience for you all to enjoy.

I also learned about AW because of Luetin, but I don't think he was still here when I joined. Came for LT, stayed for cool community.

I regularly see people who play on enhanced sitting around in TS doing their own thing.  During the course of the evening several of those people might hop on enhanced only to leave shortly after due to a lack of other players to play with.  Now I think that if we had an instant messenger (like telegram) that would allow a player to say "I'm gonna hop on AWE, anyone care to join me?" some of those people sitting in TS might do just that.  That way we'd get a (small) crowd together.  And if we're lucky more and more people will join after that.

Now as said telegram is an instant messenger app that I think could be used for this.  It's both free and anonymous, nobody is able to access the very very little personal information you have to fill in the get an account (being your phone number).

It was the most fun in very long while.
 
Too bad it had to end with Alpha opening fire and exposing us to the gunshots.

Had to leave early, but what I experienced was fantastic. The early spec ops stuff with @Teddy, @Jorgensen73, @SiegeSix & @Eagle-Eye was excellent fun, some of the most fun I've had in a game night in a long time.

Ok, I`m not gonna quote everything but instead just give my opinion:
 
Personally I like LOGI but I guess that was obvious. The only problem I have is the amount of people that LOGI could "take away" from Alpha. I mean even at the MSO LOGI is perfectly filled for most tasks with two people wich means that on AWE you shouldn´t need more than one guy in LOGI since Vortex can assist him perfectly. But apparently sometimes it still happens that LOGI actually takes up like 3 people + Vortex wich is just way too much in my opinion since these two additional people could be way better utilized in Alpha for example. Also I think that when things take extremely long it usually isn´t LOGIs fault. Whoever is ASL should just consider to reslot and let someone else do the job who is better capable of doing so. Because as you said @J0hnson, when @ShadowAce11 was ASL on that Malden-assault everything worked out perfectly fine without any delay because he just started the mission with us and then told LOGI just where he wanted that FOB and letted him do whatever he wanted to because it is just simply not needed to always keep your eyes on what LOGI is doing. I mean even if that FOB then turns out to be sh*t it doesn´t really matters because it isn´t crucial for stiletto at alll...it is just a nice-to-have-feature. And as last point I´ll also have to agree with @Amentes that you should never take a slot without beeing authorized to do so. I mean I can see your point @J0hnson that you could just ask them to reslot and I´m sure that you or Amentes will also do that but will a new/unexperienced ASL really do that as well? I doubt it!
 
So long story short:
What I would wish for is not to use LOGI less often but instead to use LOGI only if you are a experienced ASL and only with a reasonable amount of people (1 + Vortex, or only 1 if you are going for vehicle-reinserts only). Also don´t take slots without permission! And if you do keep taking them:

Well I personally think and of course other opinions vary, that a way of fixing it would be to take ASL yourself perhaps. Like @J0hnson, I see it more of an ASL leadership decision issue, which sure some people may not like but they just gotta tough it up and carry on sometimes until it becomes an issue across the larger audience.
 
I think a lot of players that take ASL like the use of Logi and not many things will change their style, I mean personally I'm always up for changing things up, so I may sometimes limit the use of Logi and Vortex and purely use ground forces with a small team to drive reinforcements back and forth in a truck.

It appears we've been graced with the long-awaited Repo update.

Ghostdragon and SkullCollector are Zeusing on AWE tonight at 1830 British Summer Time, 1930 Central European Summer Time

Being back and playing with old friends is fun but being back and playing arma enhanced with old teammates is even more fun. we actually had almost 20 players on EU3 yestarday and @Shadow Knight  was our ASL. so @LEO decided that he wanted a what is basically a recon team so he made one,he named it LRP(Long Range Patrol) i dont Think it turned out how he wanted it to, but it was me, Leo, @Teddy and @MoonFire in the team. The team had a EOD specialist which was allso the TL and of course leo took that, a medic which was teddy, rifleman which was moon and then we had what leo called a radio operator which was really just the TL but leo was leading, so i Went for the radio cus i thought it would be a new experience and it was. in total we cleared 2 or 3 Towns Before the locals didnt want us there and put an IED under one of the trucks, when we were leaving leo ran over a APERS bounding mine which only blew off our Wheels, but without the Wheels we were sitting ducks and of course the enemy started swarming us, as the radio man i called for vortex to get us a lift out and it was @Copey in the pilot seat. in the end we all survived without being killed once, which is pretty good. 

The tip I found somewhere on internet and so far works 100% for me:
 
1) launch the Arma directly from Steam library (so that the vanila launcher splashscreen appears, do not proceed beyond)
2) keep that splashscreen open
3) launch Arma via Arma3Sync with your desired modset
 
It seems that starting vanila launcher splashscreen first satisfies the Battleye...

It happens to me regularly for seemingly no reason. Restarting Arma usually works for me.

Newsflash:
 
its working, maybe its just the time or it could be the following:
 
- quit steam
- start steam
- try again (fingers crossed)

Had the same problems, normally restarting arma and armasync will help, but this time battleeye is being a dick

For some people restarting steam also works

Seems battleye is being annoying again, just keep trying until it stops, if needed launch vanilla then try again

I think @LEO will be in love with this.

I also personally very much enjoy TvT, but have found it to be quite imbalanced the last few times it's been run. One side is always drastically under or overpowered, with the blufor side often having high caliber weapons and strong body armour, with the opfor side having very little in the way of armour and exploding at the mere sight of a bullet.
I'd love to play tvt again, but feel it needs some balancing changes before it'll be fun rather than frustrating.

Just did my first bit of Enhanced with about 12 guys I guess. 
 
I loved it, even though I was pretty nervous about it and was a bit quiet and didnt say anything really. 
 
Kudos to everyone for having a good group and not being a bunch of douchebags like lots of general servers have.

I find it annoying to have CAPS LOCK turn on and off any time i want to talk to someone, i feel like my keyboard G610 has an option for this, just wondering.
