    Would love this to be honest, to freshen things up.
    I wouldn't mind if it were alternating days, alternating weeks, or just 1 day a week. (CSaturday has a ring to it)

    Mods Required:
    Arma 3 Preset Vindicta.html (Plus usual optional mods)

    TS address: ts.ahoyworld.net
    TEAMSPEAK MISSION BRIEFING FOR ALL PLAYERS WILL BEGIN AT THE TIME STATED IN THE TITLE
    Expected Mission Length: 120+ minutes (may go over or under expected mission length)

    Player Slots: 35
    Teams will be organised ad hoc with there composition being determined by their mission.

    Map/Factions: RHS AAF 2020/ RHS AAF police on Altis

    Situation
    Operating as overall command and as Zeus I will be assigning objectives depending on what is needed at the time.

    The main objective in Vindicta is to overthrow the government.
    To do this we will need:
    Supplies, lots of supplies, anything you take from the arsenal is finite and precious. Sway the opinion of the civilian population to our side. Capture towns / Checkpoints / outposts to increase our hold on the area.
    I will do a quick introduction in game for anyone new to Vindicta when the server opens.

    For the next few weeks I will be running Vindicta on Friday nights on EU3.

    The format being me acting as Ground command and very lightly zeusing the playthrough.

    What faction/map would people like to see?
     Bearing in mind it would be the faction we fight against and who's equipment we steal and use.

    As a Normal Member I know it's a bit rude to ask to do this as it contains work, but I am intrigued to see how many people would be interested to have a Game Mode Rotation on EU3/AWE instead of continuing to play Frontlines constantly.

    I think I talked about it a lot with other Members when Frontlines/AWE came up in a discussion and I for my side didn't want to bring it up in a public/open discussion as it feels like a betrayal towards @DomT as he made Frontlines and put a lot of effort into it. (Which makes me ask if Frontlines is available on Steam Workshop or so nvm i got it)

    For now i would only want to know if people would "come back" and populate the server again if there would be anything else besides frontlines.
    I have hopes that if we do this that we also get more people into the "Dev" position so just dont't have Dom doing dev on Frontlines but also others on like VIndicta or Escape etc.

    Anyway I hope I can get some feedback on this discussion and
    see you on the Frontlines

    Rally Points

    Rally points are a cheap alternative to mobile respawns and behaves almost like the respawn backpacks that are available in the base game. Here is how it works:

    A player can retrieve a rally point from the supply crate. A sleeping bag appears on the player:

    The player now has a new item in the self interaction menu: "Deploy Rally Point". Deploying the rally point will trigger an animation on the player that suggests the player is placing something down, and a few seconds later the sleeping bag disappears from the player and an unfolded sleeping bag appears on the floor:

    This can now be used like a mobile respawn.

    To move the rally point, an interaction is available on the rally point: "Pack Rally Point". This is basically a reverse of the "Deploy Rally Point" interaction. An animation starts, suggesting the player is picking something up, a few seconds later a folded sleeping bag appears on the player and the unfolded sleeping bag disappears. The player now has the option to deploy the rally point.

    A simple implementation like this can bring balancing issues. Here are some of my ideas of preventing this:
    - A rally point costs supplies to get;
    - Deploying on a rally point costs supplies OR a rally point has a certain amount of deploys before it becomes unusable;
    - Deploying and packing the rally point itself does not cost supplies;
    - Multiple members of the same group can carry a rally point, only one rally point per group can be deployed;
    - Only groups of two players or more can use rally points;
    - Rally points belong to groups, not players;
    - When a player deploys on the rally point, other players have to wait a certain amount of seconds / minutes OR;
    - Players can deploy in waves every few seconds / minutes;
    - When enemies are close to the rally point for a certain amount of time and no players are around, the rally point will be destroyed.

    A number of other points / ideas about rally points:
    - Each faction can have it's own form of rally point, like a different colour or type of sleeping bag;
    - When a player carrying a rally point dies, others can pick it up;
    - Rally points disappear after server restart;
    - Rally points are named after their group (Alpha 1-2's Rally Point).

    If you managed to finish reading this wall of text and you have some other ideas surrounding rally point, or you think it's a stupid idea, feel free to share!

    What would peoples thoughts be on roadblocks that spawn along the Frontline at at medium to high threat levels or maybe as a secondary mission that benifits intel and Civ rep?
    Watched Leutin using them in an old vid recently, looked a challenge and well my thought is above.

    Situation
    “The Bloodhounds” are in Takistan to perform foreign and in-country bidding. The newly formed Takistanian Regime is already taking the country ruling with an iron fist. After several reports over a couple of days, regarding human right violations, NATO sent some military advisors from the UK Armed Forces. Their role is to evaluate and teach strategy and handling as a part of the Takistan military tactics.

    However we’ve gracefully accepted a contract from a third party that pays handsomely. Our contract is simple: Disrupt affairs between NATO and Takistan.

    Friendly Forces
    The Bloodhounds, Private Military Contractors
    - x1 Two-man command element
    - x5 Four-man operating elements
    - x1 Two-man tacticool pilot element

    Mission
    Passive actions are not our strong suit. We need to hit them hard. First order of business; strike a blow on the British forces.

    Havoc reacted to Schubz in Transfer Arma 3 + Mods + Steam to New Computer w/o Re-Downloading
    This is how I managed to transfer my Steam (all games) + Arma 3 installation + all mods and DLC without need to download anything on the new machine.
    We going to kind of "mirroring" our Steam installation with all installed games and workshop content.
    It maybe looks complicated but it isn't...

    1. Don't install Steam yet on the new machine (if you already did, deinstall Steam and delete all "SteamLibrary" and installed games)
    2. if your "Documents" folder on the new machine is at a different (costum) location than on the old, please change it (on the new comp) to the structure from the old comp (right click "Documents" change path/location)
    3. if your Steam install "Program Files (x86)s" folder at new machine is at a different (costum) location than on the old, please change it to the structure from the old comp
    4. I assume your Arma 3 installation is located in it's own "SteamLibrary" folder on a different drive, if not just skip these steps with the copying the "Steamlibrary"
    5. make your external drive ready - you'll need enough space depending on how many games you have installed, maybe check your Steam installation and SteamLibrary folder for size first.
    6. make different folders at ext. drive for "Documents/Arma3", "Program Files (x86)/Steam", "SteamLibrary"
    7. on the new comp, if not already there, make a Program Files (x86) folder at the location where it is on the old comp. (mine is on drive d: for instance)
    8. copy the steam installation folder from the old computer to the external drive to the corresponding folder
    9. copy the Arma 3 folder(s) inside the "Documents" folder to the external drive to the corresponding folder (your Arma 3 profiles and settings)
    10. copy the "SteamLibrary" to the external drive to the corresponding folder
    11. this will take a while, grab a drink or coffee
    12. meanwhile make sure your partitions/drives at the new comp are the same structure as on the old machine (drive letters) - we'll kinda mirroring your install structure from the old one, this is important for this method
    13. connect ext. drive to new comp, check if folder structure and locations all are ready on the new machine
    14. copy the Steam installation folder to the program folder at new comp
    15. copy Arma 3 folders (Documents) to the Documents folder at new comp
    16. copy "SteamLibrary" to the corresponding drive/folder at new comp
    17. We'll do the following steps on the new computer
    18. check if paths and locations are all the same as on your old computer
    19. double check if paths and locations (for the stuff we just moved) are all the same as on your old computer
    20. Start "Steam.exe" from inside the "Program Files (x86)/Steam" folder (the one you just copied)
    21. you may also make a shortcut to the Desktop (Steam.exe) at this point while we are here
    22. go trough the steps Steam is telling you (install location not in registry blah blah)
    23. Log in to Steam with your login credentials (i hope you already have 2factor security)
    24. Steam will start and if anything is right all your games and Arma 3 will be already installed
    25. wait a minute and then start Arma 3, it will look like your first start of the game, some runtime and dirext x will download
    26. you'll already notice that all your workshop mods for arma are there
    27. BattleEye will install
    28. at Arma 3 launcher check your mods and DLC's
    29. be aware you lost all the Mod Presets, just redownload or copy them from old machine and import (the html files)
    30. You have to change or set Arma 3 launcher options (profile to load/ hardware setttings) according to the specs of the new comp
    31. start Arma via launcher, check if it loads the right Arma user profile
    32. change your general settings according to the specs of the new computer
    33. even your server list favourites are there
    34. have fun with your improved performance
    35. close Arma, close Steam
    36. if you not already did it - make a shortcut/link from the "Steam.exe" inside the Install folder to your Desktop/Taskbar
    37. ?
    38. profit!

    (I will insert screenshots later)
