Ironically enough it's not that much work. There's a bit of nip and tuck to make it all work together but the base mission was actually based on Stiletto, so not much work to get it running with RHS / TFAR / ACE

It will be AWE, the mission is I&A but it will utilise the new mission that ryko has made(I&a4) this is because it is easier for us to manage and the gameplay will scale. Meaning that it will be a more tactical style of gameplay compared to the eu1 and 2 servers

    Hello all

The state of the enhanced server is worryingly quiet. We have listened to the community many times and the outcry for a smaller mod-set was wanted, we delivered and yet the status barely changed. So we have decided to close the server for a short period of time, this will allow us to take the time out to look into the modset, mission and overall direction of the server. We will keep you updated as to the status of the server here.

The server will close on the evening of sunday 27th january. We hope it will be back soon to offer a new modded arma experience for you all to enjoy.

So I snuck up on a soldier, because he was in the 'friendly' zone and I thought he might want a chat. Spoke to him, traded him some bandages (which he was quite happy with), so he put his weapon on his back, and then suddenly his mates start spawning in. On my location. They all immediately get their weapons taken off of them automatically ... except for one guy, who spawned facing me and promptly shot me repeatedly, even after I was on the floor from ACE injuries.

    I mean ... wut?

@JaSmAn Thanks for the feed back. To address the points one by one:
    1) you guys had two planes that most of the time did a very good job. You guys would have felt it a lot more if it wasn't for them. However, some stuff got through and especially the helicopters took their toll.
    2) To make the mission more enjoyable I was often controlling enemy units, specifically air most of the time. And if I was not controlling them they would have done more damage.
    3) I make the mission, don't tell plat co's how to execute. It was @hobnob11's first time and from my end he did a great job.
    4) I honestly messed up on this one and should have had a plan, but thankfully @LEO did a great job and service.

    @Hawkeye To address you:
I honestly though something I placed collided with and arma'd the shit out of the chopper, not any players. If I had known you guys had destroyed it I never would have used it so, sorry. I sorta kinda already answered your next to statements above.

    Thanks again,
    Ben

If you've done it to me, then I just wonder who else you've also done it for. Game Nights have always been done on a first come, first served, basis, with changes to rosters happening at the time of the event if needed. Don't try and make me out at the bad guy here, I'm just querying why you've done it differently to everyone else.

Regardless of your experience on EU#3 AWE, I'd recommending attending even the most basic training sessions. You might learn something you didn't know about. Having an attitude of "I know all these things" or even "I don't need training" is something I feel goes against the spirit of EU#3 AWE.

Just remember that this is still in Alpha. Quite impressive when you think about it as a WIP rather than a full game. It's not optimized yet, and they know it. All good things come to those who wait

Gurlanin reacted to Pancake in How To EU3: A Beginners Guide
    Introduction:

This guide is designed to be a behaviour on eu3 guide that supplements this other guide that Josh wrote up a while back.

So, you’ve downloaded the repo, set TFAR up properly and have managed to connect to the server just fine. Great job, that’s the first step towards becoming a good eu3 player.

Now, what seperates a good player and a mediocre player you might ask? Quite a few things. How you behave on the server plays a big part in it, not just in dealing with other players, but in combat situations too. Common sense plays a big part in it, but unfortunately that seems to be in short supply across the world these days. This guide is to try and help you become a good player who survives through hell and back, AO after AO, instead of the player who gets killed in the first minute of contact and ends up having to be flown back into the AO time and time again.

First thing’s first, if you haven’t read the rules of EU3, DO SO NOW. That isn’t a request, it’s an order. If you go on without reading the rules and cock up majorly to the point where another player complains about you, you’re liable to get a bollocking from a moderator or admin at the very least, a ban at the very, very worst.

Now that you have read the rules, grab a simple role like rifleman, rifleman (AT), grenadier or autorifleman. Don’t play roles you don’t know how to use to their maximum capability. If you take a medic slot but don’t know how ACE medical works, you are wasting that slot for someone who does know the medical system. The same goes for leader roles, if you take one of them you will have a certain amount of responsibility in making sure your guys are equipped properly, that they all board and exit helicopters as well as following orders from higher up the chain of command. If you want to learn so you can play those roles then watch other people who know the role well enough and ask them questions. If you are completely lost when it comes to the medical system, check this guide.

    Terrain and using it:

EU3 isn’t like EU1, it requires teamwork, foresight and thought when playing. You can’t just charge into an AO with a Navid and TWS expecting the AI to line up and receive your bullets, they act like proper soldiers on EU3, they will flank you, they will suppress you and they will fire sodding RPGs at you, they will do everything in their power to kill you once they see you.

So, with that in mind, it is a good idea to remain out of sight of them for as long as possible until you are ready to strike, that way you are in the advantageous position, not the AI. Utilizing the terrain and camouflage are important in that regard. I’ll get onto camouflage and other equipment later on in the guide but in the meantime, I’ll start on terrain and using it as an advantage. It should also go without saying that cover is super important, you shouldn’t start shooting unless you are behind decent cover (read: not a thin metal fence or some grass) or are near enough to some to run to once the enemy starts firing back

The map screen represents a lot of useful data, should you know how to interpretate it, providing the scale of the map, height of peaks in the region along with the elevation per contour line, in the image provided that value is 50m, meaning that each line represents a 50m increase or decrease in height above sea level between other lines. The more you zoom into the map, the finer the contour intervals become, allowing you to see the smaller differences in height, important for pilots when choosing their LZs. For those wondering, the 3 sheets symbol, up beside the time and player rank in the map screen turns the textures off, some detail remains at a greater zoom, such as forests and building icons.

Now, in this example scenario two OPFOR squads and an intel element have holed up in this town, the allowed AO is marked with a dot border.

A BLUFOR helicopter holding two squads and a recon element enter the AO from the East, using the low ground approach in order to get as close as possible. The pilot decided to land slightly SW of the LZ so they touch down behind the large peak of the hill in order to prevent the enemy seeing the helicopter. The infantry dismount and provide security as the helicopter lifts off (I’m aware I used OPFOR infantry markers for BLUFOR here, that’s fixed in the next image)

The helicopter departs using the same route it came in via, with the infantry moving off. One squad moves WSW to the south of the peak, holding at the cross point marked. The recon element, using the fact they are lighter equipped, take a looping path WNW in order to attack the OPFOR intel unit before they can retreat south once the attack begins. The Northern infantry unit advance West towards the cross marked and once they reach it, they alert the Southern unit so they too can continue the advance. The Southern unit will come into contact first, ideally drawing the eyes of the Northern enemy squad towards them so the Northern BLUFOR unit can get nice and close before engaging. In the meantime the recon element will have manoeuvred to a point where they can eliminate the intel team as they move South or West out of the building they had occupied.  Once the intel team is wiped out, the recon element can either support the friendly forces in town by laying down suppressed gunfire from the forest into the backs of OPFOR units or they can begin an exfiltration North.

The idea behind that scenario was the BLUFOR using terrain and elevation masking to the best effect in order to get as close to the enemy forces as possible before engaging, allowing a major element of surprise.

    Equipment and Camouflage:

This part will be going over what is generally a good idea to take when playing any role (excluding primary weapons and launchers, check this guide for what each role can carry). The equipment you carry and how much of it will largely depend on your role and your playstyle, but a good rule of thumb to follow is to avoid going over 40KG weight when gearing up, as your stamina will deplete very quickly at that weight and above.

First, the clothing you wear, having it match the terrain you will be fighting in is a good idea, for example, when fighting on Chernarus it’s a good idea to wear any of the following types of camo; FROG M81, FROG MARPAT WD, ADR2, MARPAT Wood, OD, Type 4 Camo (what the JSDF wear) and the woodland camo uniforms at the bottom of the list. It may seem a bit roleplay-y to have to take camouflage clothing, but the harder you are to see by friendlies means the less likely they are to team-kill you by mistake whilst allowing the mission to have a realistic feel to it.

The same idea applies to the vest and helmet you wear, currently the arsenal in the mission limits the amount of vests you can see but if you use the virtual arsenal under the learn tab on the main menu of Arma you can see all the items. A vest with a good balance of armour, capacity and weight is important to take, too little armour and you’ll get put down real easy by the enemy forces, too heavy and you’ll be panting along as Armas fatigue system kicks your arse. The choice is ultimately up to you. Backpacks aren’t necessary, unless your role requires you to carry certain things, such as a reloadable launcher, or medical supplies, so for most basic roles you shouldn’t need a backpack.

Now, for the items you should carry no matter what role you play. You should always have a compass, watch, map, a set of ear plugs along with a radio, if you’re using the RF-7800S-TR then having a microdagr radio programmer is fine as it has a built in watch. The other BLUFOR radio is the AN/PRC 152, don’t take any other, as the different factions use different radio encryptions, meaning you won’t hear friendlies on the radio unless they also picked up an enemy radio. Whether you take NVGs is up to you, if you are going to take a set, I recommend the wide or gen 4 versions.

As a non-medic you should carry enough medical supplies to perform first aid on yourself at least once, which means you should carry under 10 bandages total, have a single morphine and perhaps an epi to nullify the heart rate drop of the morphine and a tourniquet. Tourniquets may seem useless, but they are so useful when your leg has 8 large avulsions on it, as they prevent blood flow to the limb, meaning there is little to no blood loss from it. A good mix of bandages is 3 basic or quikclot, 4 packing and 3 elastic as this allows you to cover and close most wounds you will likely suffer.

Grenades and ammo wise, you are best off carrying at least one white and either green or blue smoke grenades, a night time indicator of some type (chemlight or flare, ideally green or blue coloured) and 2 fragmentation grenades (the RGN grenades are smaller, meaning a further throw distance but smaller kill radius, RGO is vice versa, shorter throw, bigger kill radius). 1 or 2 magazines for your sidearm is normally more than enough (if you’re down to just your pistol something has gone horribly wrong for you) and depending on the role you have chosen, between 5 and 12 magazines (about 3 belts for an autorifleman) for your primary weapon should be able to see you through an AO.

    Miscellaneous Survival Tips

Cover is your friend when in a firefight, you won’t last long without it.

I shouldn't have to put this here, but work together with your team. If everyone went off lone-wolfing, there would be a dramatic drop in effectiveness and increase in team kills. Together you form a cohesive unit with a greater effectiveness than single units wandering about the AO on their own.

First Aid Kits will be broken down into a basic and packing bandage, a morphine shot and a tourniquet, medkits will break down into a basic bandage, a tourniquet, an epi pen, a morphine, a 250ml saline bag and two packing bandages. You will need a backpack in order to pick up the medkit due to vanilla arma constraints.

Make sure to call out any enemies you see to the rest of your fireteam/squad, understanding where the enemy are so you can avoid or engage them is important.

Don’t let yourself get supressed by the enemy to the point where you can’t move, if that happens a flanking force will have an easy time picking you off.

Similar to above, don’t stay in the same area too long otherwise ambient AI will spawn in. This could be problematic if they spawn behind you and your team as they will move towards the sound of gunfire, potentially getting the drop on you.

After recent updates to Arma, suppression now affects enemies, it’s determined by the size of the bullet and how close they are to hitting them. This reduces their accuracy of return fire, so even if you’re missing, you are having a detrimental effect on the enemies’ ability to fight.

If you aren't sure if a unit is friendly or not, er on the side of caution and hold fire, if they start shooting you however, then there's a good chance its an enemy ai so go ahead and shoot back.

    Status Letter EU3 26082015

Hello all EU3 forum readers. I'm playing on Ahoy servers for about two months; time which I've spent in Arma3 world. I have never played Arma franchise before. That brought me to my first and favourite Arma3 community. I know a lot of people don't know me yet so I'll do my best to have great relations, tolerance and respect to Ahoy users like administrators and veterans had with me till now.
Okay, enough sweet talk. Let me start typing what this letter is all about. In this letter I'll address my observations regarding EU3 server. I'll also name a few players since their opinion is of a greater respect than mine from other players in this community. That would be the only purpose of naming. It is not in any way meant for any type of offence.
Let's talk about me so you have better understanding of my type of gameplay. I'm male, looking for good… heh not that kind of talk. - Supportive, helpful, compliant but questionable.
Yes I will always listen to my SL, and yes I will always help newcomers. I will always remember first time when I've joined, Nicolai and Leo helped me with recruiting. This is helpful community, ask nicely with good timing and you'll have answer in no time.
But hey, I still hear whining on EU3? Well yeah it's not all that shining and beautiful. There will be problems all the time but we can resolve them. We are civilized people behind the triggers

I took wings away from my team.

First problem is Luetin09's favourite: time spent *near Arsenal and around the base. He has also addressed this problem in his last video on his channel. Thirty five minutes *near Arsenal. Remember, I've typed and repeated *near Arsenal three times with a star in front. That is because I want you to think about that not all players are in Arsenal choosing their favourite dress to wear. People were just bored and have started to drive vehicles, popping flares or just hanging and having fun around arsenal box. Even Luetin09 was admiring that red bright light later when he saw that *something hit the fan.
I think we can find another solution for this. For example when you are finished with your loadout step away and meet with your team at briefing hangar. It would be also awesome if teams are clearly separated like small groups so when SL or CMD come they can give instructions easily. This will eliminate the problem of assumption of Arsenal fever or even guys staying inside Arsenal. SL's work is really demanding (hail to all SLs) but needs to be strict and decisive. That is the only way so the others won't question commands.
And there will be always a black sheep that is actually in arsenal picking its wool. But player Glitch has found a solution for that: “You have five minutes for arsenal.” End of story. To all us black sheep imagine this situation: You are late with your loadout; SL said to stay in base like a punishment for not obeying; you are crucial member in your team; your team lacks of crucial member; your team got wiped; you all need to work again that mission. You are part of a team, don't take your team's wings away. Play your role doesn't mean only take that item in your backpack. It means play in team as ONE. I remember when I first get on this server and I've already mentioned Nicolai and Leo helping me with way around. I've asked permission to stay in base to know what is for what, what to press, what to take etc. They have insisted I go with them and stick with one of them. They let me stayed at base. I haven't looked at that situation like I'm looking it right now. That day I took wings away from my team.

    Instruments of our plays

Jenkins I feel like going that way. This will be hard to explain for me but bare with me. English is not my main language unfortunately. Because in human brain if person says one way, it will be done like that no matter what and we'll all see only that path. Let's invert situation. SLs decide approach and everything. SLs can argue, cause chick-fight, and whatnot. Put some dynamics also in mission planning. Not only on terrain. I don't have to believe, I know we have some brilliant SLs on this server but they don't express their way of doing things because they tag alongside CMDs command and don't bother. CMD is like bond between SLs, a structural thing that observes and connects.
Imagine situation, CMD says from his throne to go capture building. SL acknowledges that and proceeds with saying his fellow troops to go there. SL is on the field, he is seeing that there is enemy armada waiting there and his experience tells him no to go there. He needs then again tell CMD that building can't be captured right now. It can be done like this:
CMD:”go for objective Alpha on abc SL1!”
    SL1: copy that CMD.
SL1: CMD this is SL1, Alpha hot on abc, How is bca looking for you CMD?
asking CMD's opinion on current deviation from plan in same time staying in touch with CMD, that is important!
CMD: CMD copies SL1, Sending your way SL2 for covering fire from cba.
SL1 now sees his prize with tunnel-vision but CMD is eagle eye that sees threat on path abc from greater perspective and sends support along the way.
Because SL needs to deal with battlefield and commanding chain he gets brain-freeze and dug in, sometimes forget to report to CMD so CMD gets useless on the battlefield. And time passes.
I don't know how this would work in Arma3 world but in Planetside2 (PS2) which I've played for two years before Arma3; platoon leader commands four squads with twelve troops in each. CMD/Platoon for SL is what is Maestro for musicians that create music (plays).
    Instruments of our plays.

    Talking is winning

We are humans and we like to gather around, socialize and talk about everything. This is conversation. *near Arsenal there is conversational noise all the time. It's like we are on market selling food for life, or for younger generations to understand staying in line for buying a new smartphone. You can't tell people to shut up. You can polite ask to Clear Comms. I know old veterans get nervous sometimes but they can gather inside our temple – our briefing hangar. Who wants to hear the mission will go inside hangar and be part of that. Who wants to socialize, stay around Arsenal. The only thing I would ask is to pick role that is not connected to other players. In PS2 Clear Comms would be called three times repeatedly. Imagine beautiful silence of 48 players listening to one man giving general orders. Then imagine a silence once again and listening to one man giving second orders to twelve players.
Radios are one of the most important tools on battlefield for soldier. I won't go now in how to use radios. When I go in transport or in the beginning when first “radio check” fill the air, I always make sure of my radio settings: one ear, headphones and frequency check. You can set additional channels or other squad channels. If you are SL carrying LRR and on safe spot, you could consider switching to stereo so your squad can hear CMD general message also. Only thing I'd ask is don't change frequencies. We all start with same frequency. Imagine a mess that we would made if we play against other players and not AI or we need to switch between 10 frequencies knowing the sequence. If you have to change a frequency for some reason, before doing that inform all others about doing that. At least once in two days I hear someone saying that he was in wrong frequency. That is not excuse. Check your radios all the time. Frequencies should be listed on the map. Just yesterday we had whole squad on another frequency and we had to send a guy to inform them on their frequency or why they won't respond to CMD. LRR equipment as we all concurred should be wear by SL but maybe we should have radioman slot also that way even if we have new player he could understand better how to respond, call, or send on radios their message. Maybe we should introduce also a Loadout slot so that we black sheep, fashion queens can dress up properly and not make and disturbance on ongoing mission. This will lead us to our next chapter.

Arsenal:”I have it, you need it”

I believe we are waiting to talk about equipment or as Marcus Kincaid from Borderlands 2 would say: “Guns, guns, guns! “Simple, elegant and brings a plenty of joy. But are we all happy with arsenal, restrictions and other stuff. I'll first step forward and say that I'm not. I don't want that Arsenal become a slot from Red Orchestra 2. I mean I really like RO2 but it's whole another level of gameplay. Disabling lockpick, sunglasses, uniforms and other stuff won't make any change in times of ppl picking stuff. That 35min length problem and proposition are described in the second paragraph. It's not the Arsenal. It's other smaller things that accumulate time. This should be main concern, not crippling arsenal. What I like in this game is freedom of doing things. I urge every admin member or core staff to reconsider and bring us back all Arma world can offer. I want my banana back! (I remember times when Nicolai actually counted how many bananas carryall backpack can take, fun times).
Next thing is particularly for Autoriflemen and their assistants. I was really enjoying playing carrier for player Wolf when he's Autorifleman. Only problem we had was we couldn't get along how to transfer ammo. One tip now is that Autorifleman place his ammo inside Arsenal crate (I like my base ground clean). Then informs his assistant that there is ammo in box to carry. Assistant then informs him how many packs he has taken. End of story. First time I was playing assistant for someone else I was greeted with this: “I'm using xyz weapon, I need you to carry me some ammo”. The procedure for newbie is like this then: Drop weapon, find Autorifleman's weapon, equip it, ask Autorifleman if he wants tracers, what color and whatnot, make room in backpack for ammo packs, drop backpack on floor, load your loadout, swap backpack, and it leaves one backpack inside arsenal or on the floor. Admin needs to clean the inventory mess on the ground. If you don't ask it would have been like that. Instead you can ask and he will drop that ammo for you. Again lots of unnecessary conversation.
I really like that administrators are giving us freedom of picking uniform with regulations of our choice. I hope it won't cross their mind to wear all same uniforms. Differences are what keeps this game dynamic. Maybe same uniforms would be a nice touch for Game Nights, but not on regular basis.
Officers can't and shouldn't think for us. This is particularly for explosives. Always check map to see what kind of equipment you need. You can't destroy a tower with rocket launcher we all know that. What we don't know is to bring explosives with us or ask who will bring them. It's nothing new when I say that we on EU3 go in armour clean-up or tower destruction without explosives or not enough rocket launchers for all the vehicles. Now the excuse could be there's no explosive specialist slot to select. If you ask me, whole point of selecting your role in the beginning is useless if you can't agree with others or play like a team. I would be more happy if someone asks me to bring more explosives than telling me that a certain gun is forbidden, I can't use that straw hat, I'm not on vacation etc. Nobody ever asks if somebody brought explosives or how many rockets we got in squad.
I know I'm risking ban with this but I like sniper rifles. Especially M2010. I was actually thinking convincing Baconmop to introduce m24 or any variant of Accuracy International. When there isn't a lot of players, no commanding officers or administrators in EU3 I roll with my favourite gun. That bolt-action experience. The sound of that gun gives me shivers and with all these mods I feel like I don't know what. Hell, it even comes with different colours. From all joyfulness I'm virtually slapping myself on cheeks. And yes my dream is slammed. When I asked why, the answer is something like this: there are lone wanderers, over powerful, behaviour. I have yet to see the manifest on forums why it's forbidden.
First lone wanderers; I don't believe there are any on this server and if there are any, they would be marked on map with new addition. On other server I won't name it but you will know which one when go alone you are kicked from server. End of story. That should be the policy.
Over powerful. Yes it's powerful, but m2010 is crippled with ROF. Noreen is greater threat and that is over powered, and if you want to kill something above 1 kilometre there is Intervention laying around. On other servers and on EU1 I had great time marking things on map for mortar team. It was my (don't get me wrong, this is a game after all—well I already feel bad for saying this) privilege and great experience working with mortar team. And I'm not even a part of their team on paper. Every shell was designated to marker on the map. I've spend more time typing and just looking than touching mouse. I'm saying this because snipers don't need to be killing machines, they can and should be just recon or observers in theatre of war. Sometimes I've returned to base without firing a single bullet. And I'll always call that a good day in Arma. If I want to kill stuff I'll go and play other games with all the kids that f*cked my mother.
Behaviour is something all by itself. Yes snipers are over powered in this way. They can be cocky and kill everything and not give any fun to other players.
Playing marksman or sniper on this server is no easy task in any way. But using all the equipment to calculate trajectory of a bullet is what is all about for me. If you ask me the hardest of all quests that is in front of sniper is finding the best spot. That is the spot where you can be in duration of whole mission without compromising yourself or your spotter if you have it and covering at least 70% of territory. If you can achieve of having all three then you are in perfect spot.

    Ammo is free for all

One thing I haven't realized but I have to point out is type of ammunition. I always opted for 7.62mm over 5.56mm not realizing why all the fuss. I like “classic” look of weapons and HK417 caught my eye. Yeah, I'm also fashion queen deep inside. I have run with HK417 12inch barrel primarily – because my first gun was HK417 16inch before I was told to read forums about allowed loadouts. I've changed it to 5.56mm and this is the reason why. When you use 5.56mm you can ask fellow teammate to lend you some ammo or you can give it to them. That is the only point and I'll stick with it without concerning sound, velocity or penetration. Ammo free for all.

    Rules of engagement

Chain of command—I want to talk about that separately. Rule 3 is your Bible, trigger is your messenger. End of conversation.
On this server there is always rule of Yellow weapon: Don't shoot unless fire upon. Weapons are green or red when commanding officers says that way. Even if I see there's a potential threat I always ask an officer a permission to shoot first. Maybe I just want to hear voice of Eggmuffin or Nicolai. They have very intriguing voices which are more distinctive than others. Especially Nicolai, who as a leader, I'll follow without hesitation. I need to question myself what I've written right this moment but I'll leave it open for laughs. I like to play this game on highest immersion out there. I'm taking someone's life to save mine or teams. ROE and other rules are all on forums and some more important are also written in Teamspeak.

These is still happening so I'll keep addressing it:
-don't use 20 or 30 mm guns – my game is moving like cards that have been dealt by 60-old dealer. If you have to use it please ask for permission first. I know it's a film but in Lone Survivor pilot asks for permission to engage even he sees there's a war zone below him. Yesterday was happy trigger also.
-If you are in heli don't hover over the combat zone we can't hear anything down there. Rule 8.
-officers should be more strict with timing. This will bring a lot in time reduction near *certain points.

    No immersion:
    - players showing on map
    - shift+tilde showing direction of movement

I was very happy that administrators have introduced speedboats to Panthera map. This is a proof they are listening players opinion. Maybe I was selfish and should look wide angle on every aspect of server and not only what concerned me particularly. But hey, you can express your opinions. So if you have suggestion, critic or any other type of personal opinion, keep EU3 sub-forum active and full of constructive conversations.
I'm kindly asking administrators and moderators of this server to reconsider bringing all the goodies back to Arsenal and take into consideration my appeal for allowing sniper rifles on Ahoy EU3 servers.

    Cheers,

    Plant

P.S. Tomorrow is my birthday so I'll upload pictures some other time.

Excellent, this is what I wanted to see.

I'm hoping to get stuff started this coming Saturday and Sunday. Obviously not going to be able to do everything straight away, but I'm going to working from a script so we can mix and match. A word of warning: not everything I ask you to do will make sense, because it's all about the image.

A good deal of my last course revolved around the editing of footage and I managed to walk away from the course with a DMM and a £200 piece of editing software for my Mac, so if anyone wants help editing footage, or just wants someone to edit the footage for them, let me know

Beyond that I'm willing to help anyway I can

The changes are highlighted in orange. These rules are effective immediately.

If you would like to see the properly formatted list please check the links at the bottom. The forums wouldn't allow me to format it correctly. Sorry for the big blocks
Do not teamkill. This one shouldn’t even be here… ANY type of on purpose teamkilling will not be accepted. IE: Revenge killing, executions, dicking around. Wrongfully using medical supplies IE. Injecting someone with any sort of drug without a medical need is not permitted.
Do not dare/antagonize someone to teamkill, and/or create a situation where teamkilling is very likely to happen. (capturing an enemy vehicle and failing to properly notifying your team)
Listen to the Chain of Command.
Do not type over side chat, global or command.(Unless in an emergency *This does not include questions*). On game nights, if you do this too often, this may result in a kick. X User on side: “Sorry for breaking rule 4. But where is the arsenal box” Is not an emergency. Please use group chat.
Do not discharge any of your weapons in base on purpose! This includes launchers with their back blast.
Pilots should not get into jets/helicopters unless told to by Command elements. With the priority being set to transport. This also includes Angel (Which is not a transport helicopter). With no more than 1 pilot for every 8 ground troops.
Do not use 2 seater aircraft when alone. This means no flying CAS Helicopters solo.
CAS  pilots(Helicopter/Jet) and Tank Crews should be on standby in a safe orbit over/around the AO unless instructed otherwise by command element(Not Squad Leaders). CAS standby and not fire unless told to by command. Tank crews and Air crews  are not permitted to go free for all on AOs.
Firing 20mm or 30mm cannon can cause server lag issues, so please use them with discretion.
If you select a role, please play that role. *Please check the useful links section at the bottom for a list of what each role should be using.* By this we mean: We do not want to see a medic with a DMR and/or AT Launcher.  We also expect you to play as the faction you are. BLUFOR faction gear with BLUFOR and OPFOR with OPFOR. OPFOR does not use AR type weaponry (m4 based weapons) and they do not use MTP/Multicam, DPM or any other NATO used camouflaged clothing. This rule also covers the amount of  gear you carry. Anymore than 20 mags is NOT acceptable as you will run out of stamina fairly quickly and endanger the team when you are stationary in a open field.
The first medic on a scene decides how to treat a patient. Do not run up to a patient and start doing medical stuff without asking the on scene medic first or your squad medic for help first.
Radios are not for chit-chat. Please keep radio chatter to a minimum. If you have to talk do it LOCALLY.
The motor pool and spawn area is not for helicopters or jets. Do not land them there. Use the helicopter staging areas. When no helipad is available, land outside base in a safe area. On Panthera and Fallujah please use the taxi-ways and power down once landed to cause as little noise disruption as possible. Landing next to the arsenal box is not acceptable in any circumstance.
It is not acceptable to arrest (handcuff) anyone for any reason. If you wish to AFK disconnect or return to base. Respawn if you have to. Cuffs will not be used to drag you around.
Please do not nag moderators/admins or command if you can use CAS. This will only annoy them. Ask once and only once. This also includes the spawning of vehicles. We will not spawn vehicles on demand.
English only over Radio Comms please. We are an European based community however we ask that users speak English when around others. You’re more than welcome to talk your own language in a private channel or direct chat when not around others.
You must be on teamspeak (ts.ahoyworld.co.uk) to play on EU#3.

This is a brilliant response. I'm going to leave this open for a few more days just to let the weekend people see this, then we'll figure out a time.

I'm not a big fan of reporting first timers. Is there any way to force new people to read the rules?

In an old community I was part of we had a screen pop-up with the rules with a accept and decline button at the bottom. When you clicked accept it would kick you from the server. Halfway in the rules the "Click Decline Instead" message was hidden and it worked like a charm.

So seeing as we don't have enough players to run a full logistical team i made this first draft of a deployable  FOB.
This can\will serve as CMD and Angels forward operating base as the truck, when deployed will get a 5times boost to the radio range, a field hospital(medic tent) and a crate with the regular supplies.

How it works current is: ground has to be fairly flat, you cant deploy it while moving (duuuh =P ).

    Basically you go from this:

Sorry for posting, just want to add a quick comment as i was involved in this instance. My main grievance in this case was the fact that morphine was given without need or cause to the pilot of a transport (namely me) endangering the lives of all those being transported. This could have resulted in a crash of the chopper and potential loss of lives due to the pilot (again me) passing out or flatlining.

I hope you realise the seriousness of what you did after considering this.

Again sorry for responding, but i felt i had to add to this.
