Playing Russians on EU3 is not only a more enjoyable and exciting experience through the higher levels of thought process required to progress and excel against the US but also is extremely fun through every awsome weapon, vehicle and tool that we have at our disposal compared to when we play as the US!

I don't have much time right now, but I would like to play some missions from time to time. Is there any quick way to check when, where and what is up next?

Use the scope the RPG should come with then open up the guide and have a play around in the virtual arsenal, different parts of the scope are for the different rockets.

Also yeh, zeroing a weapon is for a specific ammo type or caliber, with the likes of rifles you won't get too much difference between ammo types at sub-kilometer ranges, but with big rockets you'll certainly have whack ass trajectories

Russian scopes can be a pain as some are so big that they block a large part of your screen. I tend to just run a red-dot or no optic at all as a Russian. Also, HOLY CRAP THAT ROF, some of those AK's are so wonderfully responsive when it comes to single shot fire. I bloody love the russians!

Maybe a little change could boost acceptance for playing as russians.

At this point I think I enjoy playing the Russians more than NATO, mostly because of the little differences in style and method. And also because their medic has that adorable little pouch for his stuff, so cute.

It takes a while to get used to the AK line-up, and it's harder to discern gun fire by sound because insurgents use AKs as well. 'Bad optics' will quickly become irrelevant once you get used to using iron sights, and there's always the amazing PK-AS or 1P63. But iron sights are love.
The little things are what set Russians apart, like stadiametric rangefinding or different, non-NATO calibre guns. They appear less versatile, but are much more effective at what they can do; as far as I can tell anyway.

When we play NATO, I feel like some kind of operator spec-ops elite unit, whereas Russians seem like regular old forces. What I'd like to see is more mechanisation, though. BMP OP, but the BTR-80A with its 30 mm is just so sexy.

The PSO-1 is one of the best squad level marksmen scopes I've ever used, the stadiametric rangefinder is a godsend when you need to return accurate fire quickly.

The RPG scope is difficult at first but there's a guide floating around on steam that explains it perfectly.

As for the light AT, use your swap optics button and you switch from the block sight up top to a rangeable sight, admittedly that sight is difficult to use quickly as you can lose sight picture very easily but it allows for a decent range, 250-300m if memory serves.

For combating the M1, use the RPG with the tandem heat warheads, their range is limited but they will mess the tank up.

All in all, don't just give up on playing russians, learn how to use their equipment effectively and it can be tremendous fun

If that is the case, then some people really haven't got their priorities straight. Both mods function perfectly fine, one just requires discipline.

Well, to be fair, it had over 80 votes IIRC, and EU3 has nowhere near that amount of players.

AS far as I can remember only one player has EVER asked me to change the Blufor faction to russian and that was outside peak time.
I would love to play it again but listening to CONSTANT cyka blyat and horrible imitations of a russian accent, I wont be changing the blufor faction to russian. If I ever do I reserve the right to kick ppl for fucking around right on the spot.

Here are my toys. I started with airsoft in 2002. My fist gun was manual Beretta M92F by TokioMarui. I attended my last airsoft operation in 2011 (the year I got married).
All guns made by Classic Army and tuned up (M120, precise barrel Inokatsu, piston, gears...etc.). I used low cap magazines (60 rounds). I have 9x STANAG and 6x M14 magazines.
SCAR-L (gen.II.) with EoTech 552.A65/1 and Surefire M910A with KT4-HA. This was my favourite. With slightly over 950 RPM.
    M14 + Aimpoint COMP/M

M4+M203 with Aimpoint COMP/M and silencer OPS Model 3rd MBS. 40MM grenades were bitch to maintain.

    Hey,

There's a lot of us out there who play airsoft but so far I rarely see people talk about it or even show their gear. What's up with that? If you play airsoft you're a gear whore who needs to boast about it! Time to start sharing your guns and your load-out guys!

Here's all my guns so far:
-Cyma AK47 Whole lot of ABS but really great deal.
-Cyma Colt M4 CQB-R Full Metal, my primary.
-Walther P99 DAO (I think it's Umarex but I got it for free because it's a leaky son of a bitch.)
-KJW KP-03 Glock 23, also a gas spewing leaky son of a bitch, only 1 mag works with it, fun to shoot occasionally but half of the time the slide just freezes over...
-Blackwater 1911R2, my primary pistol. I use it for both IAPS/IPSC Steelchallenge and Skirmishes. Only pistol I managed to make a kill on the field with.

My back-up primary, the AK47. I have a few hi-caps and a few midcaps for it. Shoots like a dream for the money. Will replace the Compact Scope with a red dot when I get that in the mail. I'm aiming for a T1 compact red dot. Shoots 375fps out of the box with lowers at around 365fps. Last time I chrono'd it actually shot 380fps which means that it's currently too hot to do skirmishes with. I'll look into downgrading it or wearing out the spring a bit to get it down.

I love the scopemount I put on my AK, it fits around the regular ironsight and it allows you to still use it in it's lowest position, which tbh is only useful when you're really really darn close to your enemy

My primary-primary the Colt M4. Shoots at around 345fps, great range, great hop. Just does what you expect it to do and better. Was twice as expensive as my AK, but hey, full metal and all the licensing marks on the upper and lower. Also, that's me being super serious and definitely not posing at all. *cough* Scope is a Swiss Arms Compact scope 1.5-5x magnification and has both green and red illumination with 5 different intensity levels per colour.

Sonofabitch was heavy! It held the intel for the next mission.

Sniper had us pinned so we cluttered up behind a bush, did prove to be the most awesome photo ever!

Attempt at a charge, we failed and I was third in line to get shot...

And when I get shot, I call my f-ing hits. 'Cuz I'm not a scrub

Your turn now! Show your gear!
