We need at least 2 very capable pilots, so if you have the skills, please don't forget to choose a pilot slot! The QRF teams will be handpicked from those who would like to give it a shot. This does not go by the regular "first come - first serve" rule I try to maintain.

    Debrief:

The SPA training camp in the north has been overrun by BluFor. We've fought an uphill battle through the woods resulting in many casualties. Luckily that number didn't rise any further thanks to our capable engineers who cut a path through a nasty minefield while under fire by rogue patrols. When BluFor reached the training camp they systematically cleared out the buildings and kept a proper 360 to all entrances to the camp, until the SPA started shelling the place. The SPA had set up some artillery in a nearby ancient castle to target their training camp when it was being attacked. The artillery was quickly localised and BluFor launched an attack on the ruins, clearing it from hostile forces.

    Mission brief:

Intel gathered from the training camp raised many red flags in the southern Altis peninsula, high ranking officers are holding up in a variety of smaller compounds. We haven't cleared the road up to the peninsula far enough to cut off further road access and escape routes.

Therefore SpecOps teams Vanguard and Sentinel are deployed with littlebirds where Vortex 1 and Vortex 2 will juggle them between as many of the compounds as possible, arrest high SPA officials and take out any hostile forces in their way. Meanwhile, BluFor forces will start clearing out towns leading to the peninsula to act as a distraction and to cut off potential escape routes.

Due to the high number of casualties on our last mission, our engineers have rapidly constructed a sterile environment at base to be used for medical emergencies. One of our UH-60 Blackhawks has been converted for MEDEVAC. Larger road vehicles have been equipped with basic medical supplies and life-support devices to provide rapid aid to troops in the field, greatly increasing their chances of survival.

I've spoken to KPJ and I'm happy to run a quick mock up for building clearing tomorrow night at approx. 8pm GMT on AWE. This will be done simply by running you through garrisoned buildings with all of the occupants restrained at first, then after you get the hang of it leaving them armed and able to shoot back. If anybody would like to help and deliver some actual short training on clearing then that would be fantastic.

    Debrief:

The time of day we picked to do the beachhead assault turned out to be perfect, a gentle fog rolled in obscuring our movements and the enemy didn't realize until we were right on top of them. Their reinforced positions turned out to be no match for our units. The push into Stavros went steady and carefully. If only we didn't get our hopes up about their weak resistance up until now. The second push we did into Neochori turned into a bloodbath, our gunfire had directed all of their units to hold up in a single road spanning Neochori from south to north. The streets turned red from the blood from both sides. Their mobile machineguns wrecked Bravo Squad before they even knew they were being engaged.

The SPA is also recruiting suicide bombers as we had a civilian vehicle running laps through the town, only to detonate prematurely on its first direct contact.

Afterwards, we headed to a military structure which had intel that the SPA has heavy armour available, though their drivers may not be competent, it's something to look out for. Raiding that base was a wise move as we also found RPG-7's which we could use against their armour.

An informant was holding up just outside that base and ran towards us when we were just about to enter Lakka. The SPA is now using mines in a desperate attempt to keep us away from them, the informant was then brought to safety as it's getting too hot on Altis for him to stick around.

The SPA launched a final attack with mortars, probably coming from the airfield, and 2 times T-72's which were easily taken care of using the RPG-7's we found.

We're currently reinforcing the checkpoint, we are using scavenged trucks to haul supplies from the beaches quickly into Lakka, it will only be a matter of time before they will attack us. A small group is to hold the checkpoint, while the others returned to base and will be assaulting the airfield from a different direction soon.

    Mission brief:

We will launch an attack at the Gravia Military Airfield. We have a team holding out in Lakka cutting of their MSR. Without SPA reinforcements from the west, our armour should be able to roll up to the base whilst defending our troop convoy. Our convoy will leave from the Pyrgos base. Try to leave the airfield as much intact as possible! Vortex is not available to soften up the airfield in advance, we need that base to get a central foothold of Altis. Anything we destroy that is not a threat will become a liability to us.

    Intel Received:
We are unable to get aerial shots of the objective due to a high AA threat. We're going to have to do with a map. Our informants were also unable to gather information as most of them have fled the area. Vortex will only be able to deliver troops and supplies outside of the no-fly zone. There's a military looking facility to the east of the airfield, but we have no clue what might be in there. To conceal our approach to the airport as much as possible we will have to pass behind that complex, so proceed with caution. From there the safest route seems to be to attack the airfield in 3 stages, the initial assault on the barracks, the secondary assault on the terminal and the third assault on the hangars. We need to clear out each and every building at the airfield. We have a variety of vehicles at our disposal, most notably armoured troop carriers which may serve as good mobile cover when pushing up the airfield.

With the task force holding out at the Lakka Checkpoint we shouldn't have to worry about reinforcements that may surprise us at the airfield. Our engineers have been hard at work to give them reinforced cover and some static guns. Ammo, medic supplies and AT4's are aplenty at the checkpoint. If for any reason the task force is overrun, there are HMMWV's near the checkpoint for a quick escape. When the checkpoint is overrun, it's crucial the enemy does not get their hands on our supplies. Take them with you or destroy them when the going gets tough.

Yes, that's fine. I will make a note and reserve your slot. Just look at the form when joining what you should take.

For everyone who still needs to sign up, please look at the current roster first to see which roles are open. If you're going to pick roles that are already filled you're going to get disappointed. I rely heavily on a first come first get bias, and then trying to create teams with people who have a good dynamic without making any team a pro-team or newbie team.

    Nice op, thanks Karate.

    on the other hand:
haven't seen so many teamkills during single op for a long time (counted aroud 10 TKs).

Some of it was usual teamkills like crossing line of fire etc.., but most of it came down to bad communication between Alpha and Bravo - not informing the squad on different frequency about intentions and/or use of enemy assets (that Ural).
So yea, the shame here goes mostly to commanders

For those who are still in doubt, Prometheus is unlike anything you've seen or done before.

Prometheus has been developed over a year ago in a way that it is heavily story driven, I've had input by a lot of members, even a few days before the kick-off. It's similar to an MSO, but every mission has a definitive end. It's supposed to feel like you are playing a campaign, but instead of useless AI you're with capable REAL players. It's story based, with scaling difficulty done by a Zeus (me is this case). As you're used of me, player enjoyment is priority number one. This doesn't mean the going doesn't get tough though.

It's an experience you shouldn't miss out on. I've heard concerns of people that playing all of them isn't appealing when they can't make it for one week. However, this has been thought out. Even if you're not there for a week, you're still fine to fit in the next week. Briefings, AAR, etc. will all be made accordingly.

I hope to see you all on Saturday, it's going to be a blast.

Please, use the form to sign up, as planning is a big deal to make it a great success. JIP is possible, but I ask you to check your schedule beforehand. Still, it's not mandatory to do so, you will however be helping me a lot.

If you have any concerns or questions, I will be available throughout the next 2 days to answer any questions. Either via this thread, private message or on TeamSpeak.

Been speaking to Karate, just to clarify, I read this incorrectly. He means to say that the loadouts WILL be realistic through minimalism. My bad haha.

I'm in for this Gamenight, looking forward to it!

I respect the meme, but it's far from the case. They are minimal realism loadouts and you'll love them once you play. It's a series of GN's that are balanced fairly well.

I've tested these load-outs after I created them and I've turned out to be more than combat effective, except when things took a nasty, I would usually run out of ammo. Which makes thing far more interesting. However, there is a supply depot, if you are uncomfortable you're allowed to switch some things out.

Prometheus is built is such a way that it feels like you're playing a campaign, with player enjoyment placed on priority number 1. Deaths will occur, but not like the *insert ArmA YouTuber* kind of punishment for sitting still on a hill. However, keep on moving is definitely a thing.

It'll be very similar like other Zeus OP's I've done, but setting a script ahead of time allows for a way more story driven experience  It'll be unlike anything you've seen so far

    Background story:
A rebel uprising has caused a lot of commotion on the island of Altis. The newly formed militia, called “SPA, Socialist Party of Altis” wants to reclaim Altis in the name of the local inhabitants, they fight against so-called social and economic injustices. The people of Altis are promised change and many local inhabitants are joining the fast spreading movement. Intelligence officers have been sent to Altis to observe the uprising and they soon begin to report the first acts of violence against opponents of the group. Police forces have been driven into hiding or evacuation as many riots occurred during the propaganda rallies.

The date is the 3rd of August 2021, trucks filled with SPA militia arrive at the towns of Feres and Selakano. Minutes after, the people living there are rounded up and are either deported or shot. NATO forces have been on standby for the past few weeks until further escalation was present. Now is their time for action, to drive SPA of the island and liberate the people of Altis from the oppression.

    Mission brief:

SPA has sent militia forces to the towns of Panagia, Feres and Selakano, they started rounding up the local inhabitants and are either deporting them or they are being shot on sight. You will be airdropped near the towns of Panagia and Selakano. Liberate the towns of Panagia, Feres and Selakano, secure the Feres airfield and proceed to secure the Mazi port as a foothold for reinforcements and supplies. Gather any intel from high-ranking officers! An ammo crate with ammo and medical supplies will be dropped alongside the troops.
