    Just saying but when on earth did we get 80 people that play EU3.
    At least half of them vote must be from eu1/eu2 people that most likely never touched EU3.

    Still it would be a over used feature, Using the fast ropes takes too long, so its better to land most of the time.
    It would mostly cause more deaths and silly plans which shouldn't need you to fast rope in, but have you fast rope in just because they can fast rope in.
    Been there, done that. And its makes it all less fun when sht does hit the fan due to people can't get off the chopper fast enough before getting shot out of the air.
     
    If people do want to test it out again then i don't really care, but it would just be a over used feature if it did work even.

    nononononoonononononnono nope. nope nope. If its the ropes i'm thinking of, nope nope.
    We had it and it was the worse. The times of screaming "Deploy ropes" and the new guy deploys them, killing everyone in the chopper.
    Granted it was pretty awesome when it work, but people used it unnecessary when they could have just landed.
     
    Going with a nope for me, due to the amount of helicopters that would be lost to ropes.

    im still a noob here at Ahoy but ive been playing Arma for years , Acre worked well in Arma 2 because thats basically all we had , worked great and was regulary updated and it was stable, however for a new user to Acre it was not user friendly.TFAR came in pretty soon after the Arma 3 release and yes it was buggy at first but the developer worked along side the developer of ACRE to fix and add more stuff to TFAR ,now TFAR is used more by n multiple of milsim units because its stable , its user friendly and it works very well.Acre came in too late into Arma 3 and it still not as stable as TFAR 
    So my vote would be TFAR

    Liru i do feel obligated to mention, do NOT use "outranking members" argument ever again. There are no ranks in ahoyworld, to avoid "i am better then you" mentality. There are just members, moderators and core staff.

    Id suggest implementing the system for a little while and observe how it develops, if its disaster. Well we shall revert back to current system. This would be viable way of seeing if people have the patience and guts to operate with it. We know for sure the loadouts are viable, but question is can the players handle the shock of not having every possible gadget in their pocket and finding alternative ways of dealing with hostile vehicles.

    xsniper have you turned illiterate? The topic here is "Reinstate weight/fatigue". So stop doing this drama about mortars and anti-air. If you have issues with jets and mortars then report them in the proper topic / create one.
     
    You wanna know how i knew it was a .50cal? Cause it's the sniper rifle that would consume 50% of stamina by itself, this is what i pointed out and you somehow took offense and to verbal attacking when i pointed this out. I get, carrying missiles isn't easy, but you can do alternative like using vehicles to transport that ammunition.
     
    Also AI aircrafts are easy to bait if you wish to bring it to your base for that unlimited ammunition

    @johnson To be honest the main reason (IMO) for EU3 was team work when it first started. Not "Realism" unless you call backblasting and overdosing people then shoving them in the meat truck Realism then yes it was realism.
    Since eu3 started i've never seen it as a "Realism" server nor did other people call it that. It was more of a "Team Work" server, Since EU1 and 2 was full of lone wolfs, team killers and just plain nooblets. It was a massive change for most people. (Plus the stuff we got up too was funny as anything.) EU3 is close to a Semi-Realism server.
     
    I'm for TFAR since i'm sick of ACRE breaking alot, and the small bump in the road that can cause radios being blocked.

    When acre fails, it creates a nag screen that's impossible to remove. And it fails just enough to be annoying.
     
    Also - vehicle radios. Love em, miss em.

    My personal Opinion of ACRE may be outdated, but when I last played with it, you had to switch radio rather than TFAR's, a different button for each type of radio approach. This often, especially as a squad lead, had me broadcasting on a channel, or in fact, unsure if I was broadcasting at all, I never had this issue with TFAR.
     
     Personally the ability to enter a frequency was an uncomplicated procedure, and gave more freedom to the leading parties to split squads down further in cases of low numbers. There was also the incredibly easy splitting of squads further for example,
     
    Alpha: 200 (Squad lead, Medic and Teamleads)
    A1 : 201 (A1 Team)
    A2 : 202 (A2 Team)
     
    This system allowed for radio chatter on a fire-team level, without compromising the entire squads ability to operate efficiently. Now I don't care if that was unrealistic because it worked well with or playerbase, and if the squad or teamleads didn't feel comfortable with using it they diddn't have to. TFAR, has always been to me, a simpler but more free system than ACRE, and as I said before, especially with the release of the Milsim group, the need for absolute realism on EU#3 is just not there.
     
    The way gauntlet is set up, operations across an entire map, with varied amounts of people, never the same resources (Aircraft, Vehicles Etc) does NOT suit being unable to contact somone who is less than a K away over a hill, hell Squad leads and Teamleads need to keep in contact for much larger distances if we are to keep the game fun and interesting for everyone.

    Hi, pro TFAR here, as much`as EU#3 does aim for some level of realism, I have never been lead to believe that this is its primary aim, especially with the milsim unit now up on offer I have always taken and will always take EU#3 as the bridge between casual and realism. My personal opinion is that ACRE is clunky, difficult and deters less accomplished players.
     
    When it comes to terrain blocking range, as fun as it can be when there are many players online, there is a large proportion of the time (the majority) where this is not the case, and the finickety nature of ACRE can cause huge problems and dissatisfaction. TFAR on the other hand is simple, user friendly and far more reliable, making it easy for new players to get the hang of radio's and radio types. Oh and as said before Backpacks :D.
     
    There you go Karate, added some say for the TFAR side.

    You're still missing the point of why what happened. Happened. Scroll up. Re-read two posts above. 
     
    Everyone from what I can see hated the fact he try to limit mission spawning.
     
    And when you say "Left" I never left. I left the Moderator team. I've never left the community. I'm still very much involved.

    Clearly you have no fucking idea what happened. Considering I've been a supporter of ACRE since ArmA2. 
     
    You also have no clue of all the internal stuff that happened between myself and some other staff.
    You also have no clue of the real life issues I went through losing two friends, in a space of a week. Sadly real life takes over my gaming life.
     
    So please get your facts straight before you even attempt to call me out.
     
    I've been around this community a lot longer than you. I've also done a LOT more than you and considering i'm one of the founding members of EU#3 I think you should try understand what is going on here more.

    By Minority I assume you mean the moderator and admin team. Of which the above applies to. Which from what I understand has also been dealt with internally and you shall never see the details of.
     
    But the major issues here and WHY everything has happened happened. Is because.
     
    1. Ryko credited himself in gauntlet. Removing Chris and bacon. You might not know this but this happened. And is a MASSIVE no no no at ahoyworld.
     
    2. Ryko changed the fundamentals of EU#3 without consulting the moderator team. Once again a big no no at Ahoyworld.
     
    3. Created a poll for the slot changes and then TOTALLY ignored the results. Erm wut?
