So, I was browsing the Workshop, and I came across "bbbxxxbbb entrainement" http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=378028422
Despite the name, it's actually decent.
Dude made a labyrinthine gauntlet using concrete barriers, plopped a bunch of enemies into it along with a few civvies that you can try to avoid killing if you wish.
Made me think of another oldie as well, namely "Survivor" http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=176318250
You and a pistol against a team of "bullies", with some smooth electro swing for backdrop.
Both maps are good for learning CQC.

Edit: Should add, I tried both with the current modset, and it doesn't bug out with either Official or Modded setups.

Here are at least few suggestions :
A. Rapid HVT retrieval
Capture lightly guarded HVT, but if detected heavy reinforcements are triggered and arrive within X minutes, so recon, speed and traveling light becomes core of the mission for CQC and sniper action. CAS takes role of support incase things go sideways and reinforcements arrive before HVT is secured and same goes for armor, so even thou it's mission for light equipment, still has place for all roles.
B. Spetsnaz (pvp)
Hear people occasionally tire of the capabilities of the AI enemies, so suggest adding about 5 man player opfor teamslot. Doing their own methods to slowdown NATO operations (however no baserape) with restricted types of vehicles and weapons (no heavy artillery for example), they can fit at their western & eastern bases in altis. Hopefully radio freq. remain within the radio items, so they can spy on NATO if they are careless in security should the find a dead soldier. If not, then thing like copy map on incapacitated soldier would do the same trick.

2.81 UAV procedure:
1) Ensure the landing gear isn't clipping the ground:
Take Stomper
Drive up behind the Greyhawk you wanna fly
Bump it a little bit
2) Start-up:
Open UAV Terminal
Select the bumped Greyhawk
Place Waypoint 1km+ away from Greyhawk
Take GUNNER position
Observe engine startup
3a) Engine start-up:
Await UAV movement
Take control of Driver immediately once it moves on its own
If it parks itself into a wall, use your Stomper to push it
3b) Engine fails to start after a minute of waiting:
Take control of Driver
Best of luck!
4) Take-off
Flaps down full
Taxi to runway
Apply speed until it lifts off on its own

Since there are so few sources on getting Headless Client to work for Arma 3 I thought that I would make a topic about it here with hopefully some helpful links and tips. please feel free to ask any questions or post any tips that you have here.
So first off here are a few links that I found to be the most useful.

the clearbackblast is a little dated but still very useful.
For now I will just be using I&A as the example for setting up your mission for headless client. This means Headless Client controlling AI spawned from script. For AI placed in the editor I would recommend reading the tutorial from clear backblast
The very first thing that you will need to do is in the editor place down the Headless Client unit and make it playable. It is under the virtual entities unit type.
So first off you will need to tell the server to be able to run the mission with or without the headless client connected to the server. If it is a simple mission that handles all of the scripts from one main init.sqf you will want to put this block of code in

However in case of a more advanced mission like I&A that spawns in AI from sqf's further down the line you will want to make that block of code look like this

publicVariable "HeadlessVariable";
};
You may want to put that block into a sqf that handles scripts for clients that run on the player's local machine.
In case you are setting up a Headless Client for something more similar to I&A you will want to now put this block in to where you would normally spawn in the AI

I&A uses this exact block

That should do it for setting up the mission for headless client to use AI spawned from script. Now we will have to set up the server and Headless client itself.
First what you will need to do is create a batch file for the client to launch the Headless Client. So create the batch file in the same folder that your server is in as long as there is an arma3.exe file there. in the batch file put this line in with your server's ip and port numbers.
arma3.exe -client -connect=127.0.0.1 -password=YourServerPassword −cpucount=2 −nosound −mod=ModsForHCtorun in your server config file you will need to put in this line headlessClients[]={"127.0.0.1"}; That should be it for getting Headless Client up and running. Please leave any questions that you have and if you have any tips please post them as well. If you have set everything up correctly the headless client should connect to the server and be put into its slot automatically a few seconds after joining the server. A few important notes are that the Headless Client slot and client will only be visible when you are logged in as admin. The second is that headless client will not solve all of your problems and you will still need to find the right balance of things that are passed off to the Headless client and things that stay with the server.. -

Are you one of those people that doesn't like the near future setting Bohemia Interactive went with? Dislike how the military will supposedly look in 2035? Absolutely hate the idea of the railgun tank? Then you may very well be interested in this. Thanks to Dyslexi from ShackTac providing a video on it, I (no doubt along with a hundred thousand or so others) have recently found out that someone is porting over the old Arma 2 content (DLC and OA content included!) into Arma 3, with the aim of taking advantage of the modular sights and attachments system as well as what else the arma 3 engine updates have to offer. Here's his video about it
Who knows? If this gets popular enough and completed, BI may even notice just how much people seem to miss the bloody humvees and AR15 style weapons

Hello folks!
So I've been getting word from my friends that hacks are going around. I've warned people yet some people I warned got hacked, either curiosity or very smart hackers. Anyway straight to the point if you get image links or- you know what? ANY LINK THROUGH STEAM, then PLEASE DO NOT CLICK IT!!! I have no idea how bad the hacks are but a hack towards your steam can never be good, especially if you were silly enough to save details like credit details on there... (No offense).
SO BE WARNED, ignore steam interaction if possible and be safe til the steam guys manage to fix this crap!

Two news articles in one day, what is this sorcery?
I am here for the second time today, to announce our new dedicated PVP server on EU #4! Previously only used for testing purposes, this server is being rolled out 24/7 to host a mission which is widely referred to, as the best PVP mission. Some of you may remember it from ArmA 2, it's Warfare Benny edition!
For those that haven't played this before, it's a variation of CTI. You spawn in at the start of the mission in a random location with only a handful of vehicles including a command vehicle, a player from each side then gets voted as their team commander and they then lead their team (that's the idea anyway). You then all head off with the command vehicle to a location where the commander decides to place your base, the ideal balance of under cover but with the possibility for later expansion (helicopters etc). The two teams then battle it out to capture so far unclaimed towns from the locals until they own X% of the map.
Oh and one more thing:
The server is up as of now, 16 players per side and each side has 3 different TeamSpeak channels to utilize. If any of you run into problems while using the mission or have any feedback, please let us know!
