Minipily
Hello folks! So I've been getting word from my friends that hacks are going around. I've warned people yet some people I warned got hacked, either curiosity or very smart hackers. Anyway straight to the point if you get image links or- you know what? ANY LINK THROUGH STEAM, then PLEASE DO NOT CLICK IT!!! I have no idea how bad the hacks are but a hack towards your steam can never be good, especially if you were silly enough to save details like credit details on there... (No offense). SO BE WARNED, ignore steam interaction if possible and be safe til the steam guys manage to fix this crap! -Mini L_Jacobs, PERO, Mach2k5 and 2 others

bufu
Seems to be closely related to a money hack that was released a short while ago, allowing you te refill your Steam Wallet without having to pay. If it sounds to good, its proll not true or hack that will hurt you in the long run.

Mach2k5
I Apologise I clicked on a link to TRADE for an item on steam, as I trade cards on steam I thought it was a real message! But as I found out it was a TROJAN VIRUS!!! Affected Programs!!! WINDOWS FIREWALL (Switches OFF) SECURITY CENTRE ( Switches OFF) WINDOWS UPDATE (Switches OFF) AT THIS POINT DO NOT USE ANY BANKING SOFTWARE!!! OR PURCHASE ANYTHING ONLINE!!! How to Clear this problem.... In Program Search <TYPE> Services <SELECT> Services and look for SECURITY CENTRE and SWITCH IT ON!!! Repeat for the Other 2 Items then Download a Free Piece of Software called MALWARE BYTES from www.malwarebytes.org and RUN THE PROGRAM!!! Quarantine / Delete found MALWARE after search.. THEN IMPORTANTLY CHANGE THE PASSWORD ON STEAM AND ALL SOFTWARE THAT MAY HOLD YOUR CREDIT CARD DETAILS!!!!! AGAIN I DO APOLOGISE TO ALL THAT CLICKED ON THE FAKE STEAM MESSAGE FROM MYSELF!!!! Nanne118
And to top it off, use CCleaner to clear out your registry; make sure you know what you're doing though.
