The REPO has been migrated to a brand-new (and way more powerful) server.
There is no action or configuration required from your end, and the service should be resumed even without any downtime. You wont notice a thing (i hope).
If however you experience any connection problems you can force you computer to connect to the new server:
start --> CMD --> ipconfig /flushdns (with pictures)
Old server: http://aardvark.kamaradski.com
New server: http://rockhopper.kamaradski.com
Technical talk:
I have just switched the DNS 'A record' to the new IP, while keeping the old server online until the DNS is properly replicated in the DNS hierarchy. This should insure smooth migration without interruption.
Write me a PM on the site, or talk to some admin on teamspeak in case you experience any problems in regards to this migration.

As the title says, the latest dev branch build has all the assets for the Helicopters DLC in them, changelog here.
However, some things are currently borked. No surprise there, "Something's bugged" might as well be BI's motto by now.
The load-master of the Taru (The CSAT Skycrane look alike) currently has his neck snapped and faces the same way as the pilots along with the rather glaring issue that ownership isn't currently working, so everybody gets the "position locked" detail when they try and enter from the ground or move around the cabin.
That last part only affects the Taru crew however, as the Huron doesn't let you move around. The passengers however, do not have this issue. They can now move from a regular passenger seat to one that is in a position to fire from the vehicle. That in itself is quite fun, sitting in the back of the transport variants with a LMG as you descend into a hellish LZ.
So, wall of text into summary:
New choppers are in; CSAT Tandem Rotor "Taru" (8 variants, potentially 16 once the black variants are added), Mini angular chinook look alike "Huron" (2 variants) and a civilian hummingbird "M-900" New skin for the armed Orca (I see what you did there BI...) Firing from vehicles is in there too, along with sling loading and the advanced flight model (Unsure how recent the former 2 are) So, here's a pretty thorough album of the two military choppers

Why not just "organize" a gaming night (or just a couple of hours) and fully test the mission, maybe some day this week or on the weekend. The reason I said that is, you need a couple of players to properly test it, with even strenght on both sides ofc.

1. In the early days of I&A people would jump vehicles onto the roof of our main building. I jumped one up to bring 2 other ones down. This would've worked perfectly except I went too fast, skidded off the other end straight into a fully loaded helicopter which exploded, total dead was about 20.
2. During a gamenight we were in two fireteams, we met up half way through as our medic had died. After meeting up we immediately came under fire, I got down to check my gear and accidentally threw a grenade. Guess where it landed? The only remaining medic. Mission failed.

I'm going to assume you are using 2.77L_C, if not it will be similar in other versions.
1. Open this .sqf: co45_AW_Invade_Annex_2_77L_C.Altis\scripts\=BTC=_revive\=BTC=_revive_init.sqf
2. With in the "=BTC=_revive_init.sqf" go to line 21. it should say: BTC_who_can_revive = ["B_medic_F","B_recon_medic_F"];
3. Replace the: "B_medic_F","B_recon_medic_F" part with "man"
4. Save it and you're set.

Hot fix incoming I've informed all core staff on the emergency channel and we are currently working as fast as possible to update the mission. We realise that this issue is causing so much interference with game play that we have shelved all other updates until we fix this. While the weekend was going to be spent downloading more ram, implementing the no-lag mod and installing a new and exciting feature to the server, the "performance enhancing thing".

Hi,
as a heli pilot, I though it would be cool to delete the Orca and put another Ghosthawk or Littlebird.
Here's why :
Even if the Orca is lighter than ghosthawk, the fact that it has no flare is a biiig lack. Because if pilots want a very mobile heli they'll take the hummingbird and if they want to transport troups they'll take ghosthawk or mohawk. With one ghosthawk and one mohawk we really don't need a dangerous to fly heli, that's why I though deleting the orca and ading a littlebird ( or another ghosthawk, but 2 littlebirds could be cool because sometimes there are guys that are alone and ghost and mohawk pilot don't want to waste time to pick up 1 guy ).

Hi everyone, my name is alganthe and i'm probably the one who played the most with uavs on I&A.
I'm here today to help you, scrubs, to use the uavs efficiently.
It's pretty simple but you need to know it, i'll cut the guide in 4 parts.
1: connecting and taking off
2: standard bombing
3: in depth use
4 troubleshooting
1: connecting and taking off
The thing you need to know about uavs on I&A is that they spawn WITHOUT CREWS INSIDE THEM
so even if the vehicle is present, IT'S EMPTY.
to place a crew inside a freshly spawned uav / ugv and take off you need to :
Get to the pc area at base on your left when you respawn. Press the cycle crew button (pc on the left) and then KILL YOURSELF it's important, it prevent some bugs (only you as uav operator can see the option, you need to do it yourself everytime a uav respawn) connect to the desired uav and then REALLY IMPORTANT take control of the TURRET (gunner). wait 5 seconds so the engine start to run. release control of the uav, wait 3s and take control of the UAV (driver). taxi to the runways, put your flaps down and take off
simple eh ?
2: standard bombing
you have 2 ways to bomb, locking on a laser painted target, or divebombing
on this guide I'll cover only the first one.
To bomb you need to:
Have someone lasing with a laser designator the attachement doesn't work. that person need to keep the lase steady come in a direction where the target and the laser is visible (no obstacle in front) thoses are what you need to be able to release your gbus, here is how I bomb:
I climb high enough to not get shot by AAA (over 1 000m) I come from the right direction previously given by the person who is lasing I switch to manual fire I then press R when i'm seeing red dots on my radar and that I know i'm approaching the target I then fly over and wait till the diamond / circle appear (depends on how you drop it) then I release my gbu
3 in depth
there is some things you need to know about the uavs
it's possible to lock the turret on a direction by pressing CTRL+T
it's also possible to lock on a target by pressing CTRL+T on it (useful for lasing moving targets from the sky)
the best way to lase something yourself is to :
Placing a loiter waypoint by pressing shift+right click then waypoint type then loiter. change the altitude to 2 000m. when the uav is in poistion switch to the gunner seat. lock the target with CTRL+T and lase it.
4 troubleshooting
I don't have any uav : wait for them to respawn (place a darter at the hangars to see if they're here) I see my uavs but I can't connect to them : cycle the uav crew / respawn my uav just exploded : it might happen if you don't follow this guide or if you teamkilled (sometimes they do it because they want to) my uav is not following my waypoints : It happens when the server is running for a long time, wait 5 minutes if the uav keep ignoring waypoints the server needs a restart I can't see when i'm around 1500 1600m why ? : don't forget to increase the view distance in the scroll wheel option (settings) AND in your video options.
short version for lazy readers and the mission
how to use uavs:

3.connect to the uav and then take control of the TURRET (gunner).
4.wait 5 seconds so the engine start.

when a uav is empty repeat the previous steps

The last changes that happened were pretty much unmoderated as I was having problems with my computer. A lot of hurried coding were going on to try to get the new arsenal thing to the servers. A lot of versions were made and put on the public servers and I was only capable of getting them into git after the fact so the repository reflected the versions being put on the servers, I could only hope that they worked properly.
Most people are still in the learning phase when it come to git and I guess that added to the latest confusion. I'll talk to the guys about at least testing the code properly before release to the public servers too ;-).
Anyway, thanks for your posts. I'm looking forward to see more from you :-)

Hi All,
We are currently testing a official AhoyWorld shared-drive that will always contain the latest mods that are allowed on our server.
How does this work ?
- This is a shared-drive that will synchronize among all users that are connected to it
- As it is works without central server, please keep the tool running on your computer, even after you downloaded all mods
- The files will then synchronize to a folder on you computer, and you can copy them from there to your arma directory
- Remember the more users we have the quicker you will be able to sync your files and any updates.
Getting started:
1 - Install btsync from here: http://www.bittorrent.com/sync/downloads
2 - During the install it will ask if you have a secret, use this code: BJAVS2VSH4J5KAYLPGDVP67P3NNFMWIPT
3 - Make sure you point the program to a new empty folder that is easy for you to remember
4 - Wait till it is fully synchronized
How to easily start the mods ?
You can use a little tool called Arma3sync, it will automatically find the mods you have copied into your Arma-folder, so you dont have to install them, not even have to add them to you arma-startup. This little tool manages it all for you:
