A sneak peak to the upcoming update: Added a mission parameter to enable / disable drawing Improved service pad feedback Changed paradrop limitations to be more teamplay focused Added gear saving Removed unused revive code Added drawn icon on downed units for medics / everyone (depending on setting) Fixed dragging dir Rewrote the vehicle handler and garrison functions Added base cleanup PFH Changed default mission parameters Changed the lock value of air reinforcements Moved arsenal objects to defines.hpp Fixed HQ messages not being visible Fixed a bug that allowed players to use revive interactions on disconnected players' corpses Changed arsenal filter Added mortar bags back Added VR suits and CSAT gear to the blacklist Changed gearLimitations to take arsenal blacklist into account Changed gearLimitations marksman role to have access to the cyrus and mar-10, they do however have only access to DMR scopes, no LRPS nor MOS Added uniform, vest, headgear and backpack support to gearLimitations Added body, wreck and group cleaner Removed air reinforcements from the truck side mission Fixed AO marker and task position not being placed properly Changed how the officer side mission works, the group is now patrolling around the AO instead of sitting inside a building Fixed an issue linked to the tasks making the JIP messages queue getting infinitely bigger Fixed an issue where after some time AI would stop spawning Possibly fixed an issue when the revive system would break after some time

Currently there's no hill camping, I 'might' change some of the gear limitation around, but it will depend on how the gameplay flow change. I'm more focused on fixing performance degradation over time (Nearly all fixed atm) and adding more side missions.

@cebi the greyhawk respawn timer is a bit longer than other vehicles for balancing issues (ie people using it as WWII divebomber), I relocated the repair HEMTT and the buzzard is a side mission reward, thus shouldn't respawn. For the dragging / carrying issues those are fixed now.

Modding the Mod - TRYK Rehashed
alganthe replied to Zak's topic in Enhanced Server Information And Discussion
So, let me explain again. THE TRYK TEAM LOST THEIR SOURCE FILES. What broke TRYK in 1.54 was a change in hitpoints in the P3Ds, meaning that without the source files (unbinarized, aka MLOD) you CANNOT fix tryk. You'll be asking "but why ?" and my answer will be that the P3D that is in the PBO is binarized and compressed (ODOL, v67 more precisely). You CANNOT recover the entirety of an ODOL P3D, and even if you manage to reverse engineer the thing, it's against the EULA of the game, and is also punishable by law. -

They lost the unbinarized models, and they weren't updated for 1.54 hitpoint changes, enjoy wasting your time. -
Building New PC - Technical Help Appreciated
alganthe replied to Gareth's topic in General Discussion
How are the NZXT cases cable management wise? They look pretty nice overall. fun fact: there's only one reseller for NZXT cases in france, and they are pretty much always out of stock. -
Building New PC - Technical Help Appreciated
alganthe replied to Gareth's topic in General Discussion
^ perfectly said, except for the processor, stick with an i5 unless you do very intensive video / image editing or 3D rendering, or you compress incredibly massive files. For the CG unless you find a ti in promo stick with the standard 980 Slight note, the MSI gaming motherboard usually include the ABSOLUTELY SHITTY killer network drivers. -
this is due for an upgrade in december / next january, no need to spend a fuckton atm.

Final config, all pieces are coming in around 2 weeks: Proc: Intel Core i5 4590 CG: MSI GeForce GTX 960 Gaming - 2 GB RAM: 8GB (2x4) PC12800 DDR3 MOBO: ASUS B85M-G C2 Case: Corsair Carbide 200R Screen: iiyama GE2488HS I'll probably upgrade to the socket 1151 and get a skylake + pascal combo around december.

My motherboard PCI-E and SATA ports decided to stop working, forever. I'm currently on a craptop running ubuntu 15.10 (MATE) and thus I can't play arma 3 T.T I'll be getting a new rig this week / next week or mid late january in the worst case scenario. I already got my screen, and I can reuse my mouse and headset. the screen in question is a iiyama GE2488HS. I'll probably get a 960 4GB and a skylake intel proco, other components... dunno yet.

It's related to ACE3 and is going to be fixed next patch (3.3.4) On the vehicles, CUP vehicles don't have the COMPLETELY FUCKED UP PhysX values of RHS vehicles, they don't have the shitty RHS armor system and they drive properly. On an other note, some CUP weapons are low quality.

Arma 3 FSF SacVentral Parachute Mod
alganthe replied to KPSradical's topic in Enhanced Server Information And Discussion
Unfortunately after testing multiple implementation I've come to the conclusion that this feature couldn't be added reliably, the reasons why are described in this PR: https://github.com/acemod/ACE3/pull/2794 The others mods adding this feature suffer from those as well. -
Arma 3 FSF SacVentral Parachute Mod
alganthe replied to KPSradical's topic in Enhanced Server Information And Discussion
Did some tests, FSF sacVentral suffer from JIP issues and respawn issues. BackpackOnChest is simply broken ATM. Note that both of those mods don't have any github repository where I can provide any contribution, thus I'll just make a new mod with the feature (Putting the backpack on your chest) in my free time. -

I'll give a look to both if I can fix the issues I had with them since I have some free time.
