Very fun for one of my first awe experiences. 

Lemme start this off by a huge thank you, not only to the owners/ many close friends i have but to the community as a whole. I joined this community around august 2015 and I dont know where I would be without having been apart of this community. This community was more then a community to me, it was a place I could call my family where I was almost always welcome when I join the teamspeak, I miss bragging to my friends about the great community I was in and I still do that to this day. I remember the first day I joined this server, funny enough Lamasioux invited me.. if you know you know.. I instantly fell in love with the community and played for about 6 hours on the first day. The next day I joined in our my very first gamenight on fallujah, and i honestly dont think I will ever forget that moment. After the gamenight I realized this server was special and I wanted to be apart of it; A few weeks later I recived Field Ambassador I was ecstatic. A few months later Razgriz pulled me into a channel and asked if I would like to become a EU3 moderator, Words could not describe that feeling that all my hard work and dedication was noticed thanks raz BTW. I was a Eu3 mod for about 7 or 8 months before I burned myself out of arma, I put 700 hours in about 10 months which in my opinion is insane. I can also remember getting home from school and literally running to my computer to play with everyone 
 
I've made a couple return post and unfortunately I've tried a couple times to come back to the place I used to call home and I just cant commit.. And it makes me mad because I really do wana join back but I dont think I can..
 
Honestly this makes me love the Ahoyworld community even more. Many of those of us who have been apart of this community, and those who have moved on, can all admit- this place we call home played a big part in our gaming lives, if not our lives in general. We met some good friends, shared some epic moments, and had fun doing it. Cheers to the good old times, and to the ones ahead.. Again I cant imagine I would be without this community today, sometimes I wish the old days were back and I was still apart of this community.
I may pop into the teamspeak every now and then but I think my name popping up is more irrelevent then ever. I dont have the friendships/prescense in this community as I used to. If you ever want to talk lemme know via steam (https://steamcommunity.com/id/iamdespite2k/) Maybe i will even pop in sometime and play ArmA. Again Thanks to the memories and oppurtunites this server has presented me with, I cant stress how much im thankful for finding this place.

Found that you can get in helicopter as pilot in base then switch your role to something else and still fly the helicopter. I could see how this could be ok if the player count is under 5 so then you could transport yourself faster

Good test today - I'm leaving the server up over the weekend for people to continue the test.

Not entirely true, anyone who can dePBO the mission file and read the function that spawns the rewards in can figure it out.

Most of the vehicles in there do not have the default loadout.
 

If you make it in the server and it doesn't work make it offline and try loading that one.

Quite impressive that they can make a HOTAS this good from about half an Iphone tho!  

In my case if it says its still running either steam needs a moment to do it's steam things, like synicng savegames and such. If it gets stuck for good (in my case happens when I crash xcom 2 because of long war) what I do is kill steam and xcom process in task manager (process, not application). Never had it happen to the point i had to restart the whole pc.

This is just a brief update on what's been happening internally and externally in AhoyWorld.
 
First, I would like to thank you all for the kind words regarding the change over.
It certainly has been an eventful few weeks. There has been a lot of discussions involving finances, staff structure, activity and how we can improve upon them.
First change I'd like to announce is how the staff structure is displayed: this will clarify the roles of each member and make easier to know who reports to who.

Second change made is how we as staff communicate.
 
We've been using Telegram for the last few years for business-related chats, quick-fire questions and response and felt that it was time to move on. So without further ado, we have finally decided to migrate over to Discord. 
We felt that by doing this we could better accommodate you guys which should help us engage and interact with our members more. Being a gaming platform, hopefully it will expose and grow AhoyWorld again.

Now's also a good time to confirm something we teased a few weeks ago: Invade & Annex 4.
We have been hard at work developing the sequel to Invade & Annex, rewriting the mission from scratch with an emphasis on efficiency and security, meaning more fps and (hopefully) less hacking. We'll be running an open beta test in the near future, so stay tuned.
 
And lastly, I would like to take a moment to thank all the staff for their hard work behind the scenes, especially @Ryko for his rigorous testing and development of I&A4 and @GhostDragon for maintaining the back end stuff to making sure that you all have a smooth and enjoyable experience within AhoyWorld.

i'm from Belgium.
playing some Squad and PS for a while now, i came in contact with ARMA a while ago but never found a good server.
want to step up a bit in the LARP and MILSIM type.
been redirected by a friend to this group, so lets hope i can now setup the armasync (server won't start) and i'm good to go !
 
 
I also play several times a year a MILSIM or LARP in real life with the use of airsoft guns.

I will keep this brief,
 
As you've all probably noticed Piranha hasn't been around much lately, this is due to a number of reasons which I won't go into, so with a heavy heart he has decided that it would be best for the community to step down from his leadership role and hand the reins over to me.
 
This isn't my first rodeo, and I'm sure further down the line I may make mistakes, possibly big mistakes, and bad decisions that not many people may agree with. Nevertheless what I can bring to the table is openness, transparency and hopefully stability.
 
There are a few areas that I will be looking to improve on; clarity of roles, community engagement and most importantly communication within staff.
 
I hope that you will all back me through this difficult period and be patient with me in trying to turn this community around.
 
Remember, if you have any ideas/suggestions please bring them to us, we are always looking to improve.
 
Lastly, I would like to thank @PiranhA for his contribution and wish him all the best for his future endeavours.

Yes, the mods and admins often run Zeus games and alter the gauntlet missions to make them more challenging
