DCS hotas under 100 usd

I would go for somethin like this X52, so you can have your keyboard in between.

With a bit more you also can have pedals or this with i realy reccomend for vortex

I went for the Thrustmaster T16000M Hotas system and the CH Pro pedals.

I have nothing bad to say about either, I'd say price/quality vise they are quite good, although quite a bit above the price range you've set.

I was checking those out, they look pretty good for the money.

Would the rudder pedals be necessary or could I go with just the joystick and throttle?

With vortex, I would miss my pedals

The thrustmaster T16000M has the rudder flap thing and yes it works, but the pedals do feel a lot more comfortable and do give a better accuracy IMHO.

Quite impressive that they can make a HOTAS this good from about half an Iphone tho!

I have the Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotax X you were looking at and it's a pretty nice starting setup, worked all good for EU#3. Also, I don't know if it's mentioned on the page for it but the stick and throttle are separable if you wanted to put a keyboard in the centre.

 

I got mine for about 30 quid new off ebay.
