    Hello Jan/ @EloChasorHd.

     

    You were banned on January the 21st due to an attempt to run a piece of code that is not allowed. AhoyWorld uses a number of anti scripting tools available to us to detect scripts being run on our servers. 

     

    Hacking and scripting is strictly forbidden and will obviously result in a ban from the servers. See 1.1.6
     

     

    You have now served a two 2 months ban period, give or take. AhoyWorld is a place of tolerance and comradery which is why I will reduce your ban from a permanent ban to a 31 day ban. 

    You are free to join the AhoyWorld servers again after the ban period has ended, how ever let this be a reminder that the rules of AhoyWorld are in place to benefit the entire player base and breaking the rules will not be tolerated.

    Hello Metallboy.

     

    In my eyes you are pretty accurately describing recruiting. You mention that you are in a clan outside Ahoy, you mention inviting people to Discord channels outside Ahoy and you mention inviting players to play your Liberation server while playing on Ahoy. That very much IS recruiting, regardless your intent of harm or no.

    We suspected recruitment for a while since Discord names were the only thing shared in text chat on server. We looked into it, but we did not take any action due to only Discord names. In the end got confirmation in the form of a player report of actual recruiting. 

     

    AhoyWorld does provide open servers, modded game nights, Forums, TS, Discord. We even give players the option to submit game nights of their own design. We put a lot of effort into making sure we provide extensive services for our player base. This is one of the reasons I find recruiting on our server a low blow.

     

    In the case of permanent bans the offence is serious, I see nothing in the appeal to dispute the evidence of recruiting and I do not detect any real remorse, I will let the ban stand. Permanent bans can be appealed in approximately 6 months.

    This is based on your connection attempt, followed closely by your friend connecting and making suspicious comments. 

    Ban evasion is against the rules of ahoyworld and indicates a level of disregard of those rules that we just cannot accept. Thus I will not lift your ban now, but I will give you the option of re-appealing the ban in 2 months time.

    The first and obvious benefit was increased players numbers. 

    As an admin / mod that obviously also means an increased workload. Apart from the obvious trouble makers and the dealing there off I sincerely hope that the new guys trying out Arma 3 also saw that the staff team was working hard to maintain fluent game play. How to measure this is a different matter tho, I'm sure many of the players during the free weekend hopped servers and sampled what Arma 3 has to offer and they might never visit this forum.

     

    P.S. I'm obviously not a FW (Free Weekender?) so I opt out of the DLC draw!

    It's not a massive change but still something that I have to be aware of when setting up a mission.

    Don't worry though, you will still be scared to go back into the jungle :P

    The biggest change, be it a draw back or benefit, is the slower pace of handling casualties and thus the whole mission.

     

    I'm sure the balancing is a little different in Unsung mod compared to the Altis campaign since were basically using olive green shirts as body armour and the helmets are made out of cardboard! ;)

    Hi @richa

     

    I've reviewed the ban report and subsequent ban appeal. The recruitment attempt was quite blatant and there is no denying what happened, as far as I am concerned recruitment is right up there in the top 10 worst no nos you can do on a server. In our case it not only shows a blatant disregard for the rules you are supposed to follow on our servers as well it might rob us of players.

     

    You have also not shown any remorse for your actions in either ban appeal. I am going to let the ban stand, Hopefully you will appreciate the tremendous amount of effort and time all the people of Ahoy have put into making this place what it is.

    Adding to this you need to take a look at Xwatt - I said in chat i would brb and upon returning form literally running to the toilet i had been kicked and he was in my pilot slot.
    ive dealt with this sort of 'admining' before hell i've even been 'that guy' in A2, when i complained he lied and said that i hadnt put anything in chat . yes fair enough you did 3 afk checks but if hes started the moment i stepped away i stood no chance. i had been afk for coffee and toilet etc twice before always putting brb in the chat with no issue from anyone.

    i mean what a coincidence he wanted a pilot slot and decided to afk kick me after i called out brb, not like i can screenshot it once ive been kicked right?

    this is what you get with childish admins, I quite frankly don't care i've got a week more of being able to to connect to eu servers but Ahoy world is one i always came back to when visiting for the holidays and one i would've recommended as the admins always seemed level headed.

     

    wont be surprised if I'm banned next time i try to join

    @Burns this is not the place to complain about your matter. I will say you were afk for a fair bit on a full server. You did say brb in the chat, BUT admins are allowed to do their job on the server IF the situation calls for it. Seeing as a 3 part AFK check was also done we can safely say you were at least given a chance as per the usual procedure.

    The situation on EU1 today has nothing to do with your previous run ins with other admins in A2 or else where. Calling admins childish will also not advance your "case" at all. In fact it might it might be a sign you have a problem with authority.

    I was on the server for part of that @Jack2

     

    I can confirm you wasting assets even if you did manage to not kill the passengers in the process, further more you were highly disrespectful toward staff. You had plenty of verbal warnings and you were also kicked before the ban. Taking the time to wait for kick timer to reset and joining back for more shows you were not having any of it. That only leaves one more option open for the admin and so you were banned.

     

    In conclusion BAN APPEAL UNSUCCESSFUL .

    you have been banned on July the 3rd of 2018 for using racist language in chat. Racism is not tolerated on any of the AhoyWorld servers or services provided, which is also stated in the rules of AhoyWorld. Quite some time has past since your ban and I am willing to give you the benefit of the doubt and trust you do not use any more racist language on our servers.

    Hello @RainbowDash

     

    I have reviewed the ban report and interviewed the Spartan online at the time. This together with you telling me you have been ramming vehicles in base raises a few questions. 

     

    In the future I advise you to call on a Spartan or use the !admin command in chat to call for help. Ramming vehicles lead to a lot of chaos in arma3 be it intentional or not.

     

    I will let the 7 day ban stand.
