  1. Hello folks! So, I'm looking to make a new guide some time soon and I would really appreciate your input on what to test next. Please have a look at the above poll options and see which you would prefer. Standard calibers are 9mm, .45 ACP, 5.56 NATO, 7.62 NATO, 5.45x39 and 7.62x39. Though on top of this I will include .300 win mag and .338 Lapua Mag. Friendly vehicles include Humvees, Jackals, Coyotes, Land Rovers, the bigger MRAPs and some other light armour. Testing will be done with the RPG26 and RPG7 standard HEAT rockets. Leos guide to explosive gives a fairly comprehensive guide on mines and charges, which will cover the damage done by explosives vehicles stronger than I will be testing - as well as this, mines are not commonly seen on server without a Zeus so I feel testing these will be redundant.

We're still not sorry for the V1 of this on the gamenight.
  3. Scar, you, me and Copey flying a nuclear bomber around on a game night. AhoyWorld, the epitome of tactical superiority.
  4. Scar stuck standing up on a quadbike, and me in the background waiting for a vanilla fix because Arma broke. #BohemiaInteractiveMakesFlawlessGames
  5. Any time I get a new PC I always forget to turn off the sleep mode timer, it's a bit of a pest.
  6. This is tough. I love my MSO, but the idea of a Tanoa gamenight is sweet too. Suppose I'll just see where the players fall tonight and roll from there.
  7. I loved Malden way back when and I'd love to see it make it's way into I&A and Gauntlet.
  8. I only heard this while I was on TS. Getting to see it first hand made it even funnier.
  9. Really quite annoyed that my work schedule meant I couldn't join in on this. Hopefully you'll run it again next Tuesday so I can have a turn (hint hint, wink wink)
  10. Absolutely this. I'd be writing the point out here in my own words.
  11. Have to say I'm going to be sorry to see Abramia and Fallujah go. Two of my favourite gauntlet maps. However having tested out Lythium a bit for myself in the editor I'm confident it will be a huge hit with the player base. Providing a little bit of everything.
  12. May not make it quite on time tonight. Somethings come up this morning that really needs my attention, but I'll be there as quickly as I possibly can. Apologies if that's inconvenient, feel free to slot someone else as warthog and I'll slot into anything required if I can JIP
  13. The Falcon is an incredibly powerful UAV. Capable of laying waste to an entire AO very quickly with a proficient pilot, and the idea is that all of the other roles are there to enhance the infantry experience rather than to replace them.
  14. This. Thankfully since it only lasts 15 minutes we weren't waiting too long, and it wasn't deployed again to my knowledge I think this is a much better way to do things.
  15. Verify the game cache through steam, force A3sync to check the mods again. Sometimes if you disconnect for seemingly no reason the server just picks a file to throw an error at you for. In my very limited experience the file throwing up the error is very rarely related to the problem.
  16. It's sad to think that new players will be starting on a whole new server to the rest of us. God speed Flagship! Now we need to think of something to call the new one.
  17. What do sprinters eat before a race? Nothing, they fast. Oh god I'm not proud of that.
  18. Signed up. Can't remember if I did already, so apologies if there's two from me!

    *Sniff* Bootiful...

These BMDs were OP as all hell. Great fun though, and it was nice to see people taking playing as Russians semi-seriously for a change!
  20. The key to being SL is learning to delegate properly. Manage your teams without micromanaging them too much, make sure they know where to be and when to be there but leave the exact details of individual positions etc to the team leads. Set the rules without trying too hard to watch over every single person, because if you try to do that you'll miss important things and you'll wind up feeling swamped. PlatCo however is a different story for another day. As for HuntIR I'm happy with it where it is. It could be far too powerful a tool if it was available to every TL.
  21. The RHS launcher locks on to the same targets in the same amount of time, fires out to the same range and with the same effectiveness against vehicles going by what I tested. It even uses the same ACE lock on system. The additional damage vs infantry was just a bonus and coupled with the ease of only having to carry a launcher and rockets, all in all it's just flat out more efficient.
  22. Unless you need the AO to be essentially daylight for a minute or so. At night I'd say it's worth carrying one or two in the MATmobile or in a crate, but never in person. The smokes are also situationally useful, but lobbing a smoke grenade 900m isn't worth carrying them for when a grenade or two in your vest does the job. I'm really appreciating all of the positive feedback I'm getting on these. If anyone has an idea for anything else they'd like to see tested please feel free to fire me a PM and I'll see if it's viable.
  23. Edited to include the RHS Javelin, which to my surprise, was actually the superior weapon with a substantially larger blast radius.
  24. Very true, and an excellent thing for attacking fast moving air targets!
  25. I'll run some tests on the RHS Javelin later today. As for the backblast, I haven't used that as a measurable quality as in the etiquette section I've mentioned not firing unless you're absolutely sure there's nobody there, though I may edit these to include backblast as a quality.
