  1. I already looked into coding it, but I rather stick to what I know and expand on that instead of diving into 100+ commands that I will remember for 5 minutes before having to go back because I have no clue what I am doing :D

     

  2. SO, if you have read my latest post or your name is Stanhope or Lost Bullet, you will know that I was working on a mission but I turned it down a notch regarding priority. Behind the scenes however, I have been working hard on the mission. Testing with some friends and swatting problems wasn't a problem...... Until now.

     

    A little while ago I tried to make vehicles respawn using the zeus interface and this resulted in this picture down below.

     

    If anyone knows what is causing this and how to fix it, please let me know.

  4. HIIHIHIIHI, I got it thanks to a friend at launch (Thanks Dan :D ). I felt like a kid in the candy store with the new jets and UCAV. I haven't tried out the carrier yet and the new radar has many secrets still. Someone mind to drop a link to someplace that explains the radar more?

  5. So, with the majority of worries from my exam behind me and a three day weekend as reward, I decided it is time to build another mission.

     

    • 3 teams, each on another side (Bluefor, Opfor and Independent). Each team having 6/8/12 players.
    • Each Team has a maximum amount of respawn tickets, was thinking about 100 or 75 for each team.
    • All Team are put in an arena (location still to be decided) to fight each other.
    • Winning team can be determined in 2 ways:
      • Last team standing
      • After X minutes, the team with the most control points wins.
        • Control points are locations that can be captured by a side.
    • Each time has a limited pool of vehicles, airdrops and fire support avaible at the beginning of a round.
    • When a team wins, mission gets reset and teams get other spawns.
    • Playing best out of 3/4/5 to determine real winner.

     

    Some extra information:

    • Loadouts are restricted to base loadouts, but can be modified using the supplies at your respawn.
    • Avaible loadouts are:
      • AT rifleman
      • Marksman
      • Demo specialist
      • Rifleman
      • Medic
      • UAV operator
      • Autorifleman

     

    So that's it, what do you guys think? Please put all your feedback down below, what do I need to add? What needs to be changed or is this a plain stupid idea? :D

  6. The only way I see this working is with a cargo/ logistics role (Which can use taru's), implementation of a logistics script (can't remember thename at the moment) so it actually has a meaning and a couple of people who are willing to do this.

     

    But more often than not:

  7. So, after a good while of not being alive I returned to the land of the living.

    After a bit of thinking and exploring free steam games, I stumbled on Planetside 2 (Hold on to your drinks for a moment) and it had a system in place I am pretty sure that I found a system that prevented your vehicles to be stolen. Now, I am no programmer and I have no clue if this is even possible to implement, but here we go:

     

    • When you enter an unclaimed vehicle, you "claim" it. Preventing others from entering.
    • When a certain menu is openend, you get 3 options: Closed, group only and open.
      • Closed prevents anyone except you to enter
      • Group only allows group members (duh)
      • Open allows..... Do I need to say it? [YES].... it allows anyone to enter.
    • after a certain amount of time (Different per vehicle?) the vehicle gets unclaimed

    (just remember, my brain is still a bit fuzzy so I might not be the brightest around)

  8. What I think killed Tania is not the island itself, nor the rest of its DLC. It is the price of said DLC, don't get me wrong but paying €30 without any payed work is a giant dent in my budget without knowing if I am actually gonna like the DLC. I wish they handled the DLC the same way as respawn entertainment (Titanfall 2 for those who don't know)

  9. Today is your lucky day, I feel like giving constructive criticism.

     

    - What do you mean with point 1? Seriously, I have no. Clue with what you mean with it.

    - I am happy with number 2,3 and 5. However , That the squad leader gets a bonus could be abused by making 1 man private squads.

    - 6 Could be used to farm points and quickly get those assets going after a restart.

    - Do not limit assets, if Zeus notices that armor is rolling mission after mission, they can drop in some AT. It also runs into the first come - first serve problem.

    - For the spawnables, remove the wipeout. It will destroy everything with a proper pilot and someone with a laser designator. Also the darter, no just no. A UAV operator can get infinite amounts of those. If you allow others to use them, than the only ones that could really use them are:

     

    - Lone snipers

    - a spotter with a sniper

    - an FSG gunner

    - a wild scar who wants to make sure nothing gets out alive.

     

    - I suggest adding a supply drop to the list, each with different cargo that you can choose from. Only preset loadouts, no custom. The supply drop would parachute down at your location, but wind can blow it to somewhere inaccessible thus proper placement is required.

     

    Well, I am looking forward to your response. We are on the internet and nothing can go wrong here if you have a different opinion.......:grin-min:

  10. @TheScar I understand your pain and recognize it unfortunately all too well....

     

    Despite being now part of the staff (kinda), even I don't know what to do if such thing would happen. Yes it sucks that you worked 30 minutes hard on the side mission, yes it sucks when you get your favorite verhicles stolen from you ( I had to race to get my favorite chopper, the Huron ). But plugging a missile in someone's ass isn't the way to go, unless it is CSAT, you can do whatever you want with them.

     

    Newbie, veterans, staff, everyone should have the decency to atleast listen to your request. If that person was me, I would have driven the tank Infront of you after a full service. Unfortunately, we are here on the internet and some people just want to be a giant a******.

     

    What is even worse, is that a DONATOR tried to provoke you into killing him, A DONATOR for Christ sake.This is a giant shame, it paints the other donators as pricks that think that they can do whatever they want.

     

    I am personally disgusted of the facts.
