  1. How I found AW?

     

    When I Just got arma 3 I usually played with friends, but after they took a way More homework intensive route, I decided to put arma 3 on halt.

     

    About a year passed when I was bored and was like: "hey why not try arma 3 again? Got nothing to lose, so?". So I dusted off arma 3 again, starter it and played a bit solo to learn the game again.

     

    After about 5 hours of refreshing my muscle Memory, I decided to go out and take a look around on the server browser. Joined a couple of servers and quickly found out I wasnt a good aimer. So I Hopper from gamemode to gamemode till I came across I&A. I Just took a Random server and I fell almost in Love with it, AW....

  2. Thunder and lightning update
     

     

    Finally, I got around preparing another update for the (possible) spawn.

    This is what I have done

    • Removed building for UAV control
    • Added lights for nighttime
    • Moved HEMTT supply
    • Moved vehicle services
    • Moved air vehicle service pad
    • Moved Landing pads and placed lights around the edges
    • and more!

    Again, screenshots below and a YT video of me showing the base!

    Feedback would be appreciated!

  3. I must agree on the part that it is annoying if someone disconnets for any reason, like connection failure (like me yesterday) or having to Walk the dog, and you are stuck with his Body. Kicking those bodies out isn't only a handy thing for pilots, but for verhicles as well. For example, me and another guy were driving to the New AO in the cheetah, the AA. I was the driver and He the gunner. Everything was Fine until my internet disconnected for some reason. So, He was stuck in the middle of nowhere, having two option. Either waiting for my Body to despawn or having to abandon the asset, which is against the rules I think. 

     

    For pilots, I am not sure if the kicking out feature is a good idea, yea you can get rid of those bodies quickly, but the Chance that it will be abused is there.

     

    Now for the kicking feature I can't speak, since I almost Always fly the huron and lack of space is rare.

    good effort on the base, but I would point out one thing: players spawning as infantry want to gear up fast and get on helli.

    At the moment, distance between infantry spawn & helli boarding area on EU1/2 is about 12m on EU1 and about 8m on EU2.

     

    On your map, I'm seeing +-40m from your screenshots.

    It may not seem lot, but every time someone gets killed and respawns, they will have to get to hellipads and this will be a detriment.

    I noticed already that the distance walking to the helicopters is pretty Big. However, this might also work in my favoriet. Rememember that some People go halfway to the landing pad, stand still for a seconds or two, to Just Walk Back because they aren't site of their loadout.

     

    This is eefectively  a way of saying, if you want to leave, Make sure to be properly packed and ready.

  5. Point one is a good one, but I don't want players to have to Walk a Long way. Ever tried to Walk all the way to the hunters with an AT Soldier filled with AA missiles?

     

    Point two, no. If you look around you can CLEARLY see multiple landing pad for helikopters.

     

    To come Back to verhicles, I Will look into a Safe way to Exit spawn, like a ramp or so, but that quads May get over it

  6. Okay time for an update,

     

    I have been working during the weekend and asking some people about what they would want to see in a new spawn.

    So I have been designing in the EDEN editor and after a couple of attempts that all went into the trash bin, I finally got a design I like.

     

    Ill be posting a screenshot of how it currently looks like below, but for the ones that want to know, the spawn area I designed (I am still working on it, hold your hunters HMG) is to the south west at the end of the runway.

     

    Any questions I would happily answer and feedback is really appreciated!

     

    EDIT: I just realised that this screenshots isn't really that clear so ill record a video this afternoon showing the Area.

  7. I played space engineers for a long time and I loved it.

    That was until the planets were introduced and it killed my will to play the game. I had a lot of better games which were more fun and I had a bigger chance to play with other lads (I hate playing those games alone).

     

    Still if someone wants to play ill dust it off.

    Also, Yes I know that I&A 3 is coming (I saw the post for alpha testing), but I still want to work and feel happy about myself for being useful....

  10. I think I was a bit wrong with my first point, I meant the Buzzard (I think it is called?).

    The best description I can give on the first point, is making a slot for the blackfish and the plane pilot like there are slots for normal pilots, UAV operator, etc.

  11. The current spawn Area isn't nice to look at and it is often Quite a traffic jam for pilots and others. I am planning to redesign the spawn Area so it is easier to use and More visually appealing. I am looking for testers of the New map for feedback! If any server mods or admins Read this ill update the post when the New spawn is ready for judging if it is GONNA be used

     

     

  12. Some ideas to improve the server.

     

    • Separate spot for blackfish and CAS aircraft
    • Reworking spawn
    • More variation of mission (defend missions?)
    • Allowing sniper spotter to use ghilly suit.
    • Pilots have to show that they are proper pilots, so no people that don't know how to fly.
