Without his hard work the past week or more, we would not have the arma servers back up and running yet. So thank you for that bro!
 
It doesn't just stop there though. He not only got our server reinstalled and ARMA servers online, but ALL the behind the scene stuff that you guys will never see or know is going on with our server, he has done such a superb job on everything he has done. I wish that I didnt have to work the past 4 days so that I could have helped.
 
So again, thank you very much bro, your hard work is not unappreciated. I hope your wife isn't pissed at you for all the time you spent getting us back up and running.
 
Also thanks to everyone else who has helped get things back in order, or are in the process of getting back up and running, I.e. Proxima and the MC servers, and anyone else who I'm not sure is helping because I am at work 12 hours every day.

Servers still currently down. We've tried everything we can to get them back online, unfortunately it looks like we need to do a complete reinstall with our box, this means that we'll have a teamspeak disruption unfortunately. We'll do our best to get everything back up and running smoothly in good time. Sorry about the delay

A prime example of a collision was (and I don't mean to spark anything by this, I'm just using this as an example) is when we started at Yas Marina, I was in pole and sprinted towards the first corner, I turned in as I would normally and collided with christiansen, Hoax said that I rammed into him. A few hours later we started at the same track, this time Hoax on pole, me in second. We sprinted towards the line as before, I slipstreamed and tried to go down the inside, Hoax turned in and collided with me, I got the blame here too.
 
It was exactly the same situation as when I collided with christiansen but the other party got the blame, why? Like I said earlier, I don't want to spark anything by it but I think it's worth pointing out that blame does not always reside with one person only. In these cases, the ones running up the inside run the risk of getting a slap and IMO if it does happen, they shouldn't blame the driver who was just taking the corner as normal just because it didn't work out.
 
It's also worth mentioning that right after getting into the game for the first time, me and danny got into a battle in the last lap of a race, we'd both be alternating 1st & 2nd on each different stretch, it all depended on how we took the corners, not once did we collide hard (by that I mean, if we did it was just a brush). This format lasted the entire last lap until I won the race by 0.001 neck and neck on the entire straight down to the finish line. That race was awesome because we treated each other with respect, didn't block each other and overall, drove properly.

We are all friends here, we do not obstruct each other on track, we do not aggressively attack on track... WE'RE IN THE SAME TEAM, there should be no "it's all about me" attitude, I've recently witnessed and a lot of the time been on the receiving end of some mighty collisions. In fact tonight was the last straw.
 
1. Just because you say "I'm on the left" doesn't mean you're definitely coming through on the left and he will pull over, the only time this would be the case is if the car in front was blue flagged!
 
2. You want to keep your lead/ you want to get ahead of course you do, but you do not attack other cars, it's disgraceful and disgusting just like teamkilling on ARMA for example, because that is EXACTLY what you are doing. killing off members of your own team, your own friends...
 
I would pick a partner every session and go out away from the rest of the whorde in PAIRS ONLY to races, you cover more ground and you get to know the other fella better that way. I'm not saying you have to do this, but it's better that way for sure.

I agree with dave on this. I've got a reputation that means that if there's any coming together I'm immediately at fault whether or not it actually my fault. so much so that i've more or less stopped racing with other ahoyworld members otherwise i need to hang back on the line so that i don't get into any sort of tangle. 
Also it seems to be a case of not what actually happens but who immediately shouts the loudest saying they've been wronged.

or lock the co-pilot slot for aircraft you want !

The report button is to report topics with questionable content so as they can be looked at by admins in a timely fashion. Not to report that your server isn't working. 


For example one might report this post for being excessively troll like.
Note: don't report for excess trolling I was demonstrating an example. 

Been streaming it all day, excellent game. The garage trailer is the same size as the trailers in truck sim etc, it's only when it's in a situation like this that you come to appreciate how big it really is.

I like the idea for spawn protection. Was about to create a Zeus mission with dave where opfor would storm the airport... Before someone reminded us that they wouldn't be able to shoot back

Did you hear about my latest genocide? just hours ago it was! I wanted to blow up (delete) a unit and the code i executed was: [vehicle player] setdamage 1;
Now that would be fine when executed just on my pc....buutttt i accidentally executed that on EVERYBODY'S PC! so anybody in a vehicle in the server was blown up instantly. the killl feed went mental and so did my face.

And also thanks for the wonderful gamemode and server. If you guys go down or I get banned it's probably the end of ArmA 3 for me! I simply cannot play on other servers any more. So keep up the good work.. and raz, try to watch your fire. Not a day goes by without you teamkilling some poor souls!

Yes I believe it can be found for about a fiver if you don't go on steam and if you get me in a good enough mood I'll get it for a few hopefuls!

So as many of you have noticed grid 2 has been a bit of an unsuspected winner with many ahoyians and with this in mind I propose that we have a game night this weekend.
Much like last weekend it will be informal you can come and go as you please, there are no prizes and best of all, if I'm there you can't possibly lose!!! No seriously I'm so bad at this game it would break a lesser man.
The event of choice will be Destruction Derby not because we want to see who's skillz (see I'm down with the youths of today) are the best but because it's fun.
Don't join if you're gonna be all uber competitive or rage quity we will simply gang up on you!!! Also you must bear in mind that the lap bug (adds an extra lap to your race for no reason that we can figure out) can strike at any time so if you're up for a laugh and can play a game just for the fun and not the result then come along. 
Right now the game is on Steam for £20 but a quick google search will yield much cheaper options and the Destruction Derby is a free DLC. 
So who's up for it?

Also here's what to expect!!!

So Codemasters have announced a new GRID game is coming in June! It's going to be called "GRID Autosport" and will be a blend of the recent arcade racer GRID 2 but mostly the old TOCA games from back in the day!
 
They mention they are going back to a more authentic racing/handling experience than the recent games and personally I can't wait to see more on this!

Hi there, I put fast time in because of the opposite cry from the public, the majority wanted more night and so ensuring that it was mid summer i roughly guess there is 2/3 day and 1/3 night.
 
 
The time goes by around 5 minutes for every 1 minute = 6 minutes go by per minute (perhaps my maths is going to fall down here but ill demonstrate, this will be very embarrassing if i get this wrong

I think that that's quite a nice contrast between the two. if you however asked me to slow down sunsets/sunrises It's possible but it would throw off the feel of it. having a sunrise lasting as long as half a day would be weird. Making more time changes per minute is a bad idea so i think this is what we should be comfortable with
