    Nothing against you it's just when you say you should always do your loadouts in vertual arsenal, its just from a new players point of view it could be a nightmare for them because, they could make a kit which they think will work but when they try and load into the server then load there kit and realise that they couldn't use half the stuff they have added.
     
    But I also like to point out ye its a good idea for an experienced player to do so because they know what they need to make a working load out which works for them and worls for the server.

    I have not seen any problem with players using Russian equipment or purposefully taking too little ammo to justify taking enemy weapons. And the option to use enemy weapons have saved my ass plenty of times when prolonged combat has eaten all of my ammo and imidiate resupply was not available or possible
     
    or we have used our M72/at4s  and we have a tank that mat cannot deal with  then I usually borrow rpg 26s until M72s or at4s are available via ammo crates or someone brings a back pack with it.
     
    And if it was such a huge issue that it was needed
     Why have I not heardabout this from the admins or the moderators or the playerbase In General?

    Gauntlet 53_1003 has been released on Altis: 
    1) Reworked Ambient AI (again) to fine-tune it
    2) ambient air has new mission parameter to adjust amount of enemy air that can spawn (current default is low but it can be totally turned off or increased)
    3) added a throttle text interface to show throttle setting for pilots of legacy vehicles
    4) mission control board now works (I promise, for reals this time)
    5) spawned vehicles fine-tuned to avoid explosions on mission start
    6) There's a fancy new marker for the USS Freedom
    7) ACEX Headless client module added, but won't do anything until we add HC clients (ambient runs on dedicated HC or server depending on the situation, won't transfer via ACEX HC module)

    I'm totally supportive of the sentiments expressed in this thread, my suggestion would be that the time for constructive criticism and debriefing is when the op is done and people are back at base, rather than in the field.
     
    Even in the field, it's ok to offer alternatives, suggestions, and advice, but ultimately if someone is in charge, you have to respect the chain of command and ultimately follow orders, even if you don't agree with them.

    Hello everyone.
     
    I want to bring something up, it's not a fun topic and this topic might not fall in good taste with everyone, but it's something I can't keep silent about.
    I want to apologize in advance if I do make any statements that is hurtful and/or unwarranted, I promise you it's not intended to be.
     
    I've been playing on AhoyWorld for a month or two now, I spend honestly all my playtime on AWE/EU3, so this might not be as relevant for the other servers.
     
    Most of the time, it's great fun, the community is really good and you guys really know how to help a new guy out and I have spent most of my time laughing my ass of at all the fun we've had. Some of the time though, it's really not all that fun. I've noticed that there occasionally seems to be a lot of back-talking on local and/or sidechannels about other members and their playstyle, competence and so on. It's mainly one or two guys talking, while the rest of the channel just sit in silence.
     
    I've never been a fan of back-talking, I believe that if you have any criticism of a person, you're supposed to either take it up with that person or deal with it in silence.
    The fact is that if you never raise your criticism or concerns about a person to that person, that person is most likely never going to hear about it and as such never have the possibility to improve for the better. Instead, if people just talk about this person behind their back, you end up with a hostile environment for everyone and no chance of improvement on any sides.
     
    I know, sometimes people just piss you off and I know you just feel like blocking them off and ignoring it, but often those people do it without the intention of annoying you.
    As long as we don't take our criticism and concerns to those it concerns, they will most likely just live blissfully unaware about it and continue pissing other people off.

    My intention is to add the Freedom to Gauntlet, the real issue will be ensuring that air vehicle spawn / respawn correctly on the Freedom. Also there will be a disconnect in terms of player spawn: if you're in a role that envisions flying aircraft, your initial spawn location will probably be the Freedom versus main base, so there are necessary adjustments to make there.
     
    I can't see adding any of the new jets in their current form to Gauntlet as they are, as they don't fit the time frame, but if someone were to make a Grippen retexture we could potentially incorporate that.
     
    As for I&A, it's been discussed but nothing resolved yet to my knowledge.

    Hey Blasta,
     
    This is the classic problem with AWE, in that people have different expectations of the game.  We do aim for a higher standard of serious gameplay, so don't be surprised if people take it too seriously.  That said, we're not milsim, so hopefully we strike the right balance.

    Version 53_100
    Ryko has been hard at work to bring Version 53 to the table and this has a few notable background tweaks that build on the progress 52 has made these are: 
    1) complete overhaul of OPFOR spawning - modernization and streamlining of code
    2) overhaul of ambient AI spawning, with upper limits set against anti-armor and anti-air units. Total upper limit of 7 units
    3) fixed OPFOR player faction selection (situation where players couldn't get into their own vehicles)
    4) fixed enemy BLUFOR faction bugs (thanks RHS for changing the config names without saying anything)
    5) Created a BAF HAT crate in supply depot with 8 Javelin tubes and a CLU
    6) Reverted to previous method of vehicle respawn - uses a loop, but is reliable compared to eventHandlers
    7) Changed letter naming scheme to Hundreds -  This is to give more headroom and will avoid the letter cap.

    Hi folks,
     
    We're completing the server transition this weekend, so expect downtime for EU1 and EU4 (on the same server) intermittently on Friday and Saturday.  If everything goes well, it starts at Friday at 1900 GMT and doesn't last too long. If it doesn't go well, it may also be down for some time on Saturday.
     
    Unfortunately, TeamSpeak will also be down during this time.
     
    We thank you for your patience during this transition. EU2 (88.99.212.43: 2302) and EU3 (136.243.150.72: 2302) will not be affected.

    Can snipe the HVT with a javelin so it still has its uses against soft targets, also only if at least we had access to say a anti-personnel round like the titan in vanilla arma, that has like less less anti-tank capabilities but like you said more fragmentation. But its up to the mod creator at the end of it.

    Apologies that respawns didn't work for pre-game connections, will take a look at that for the next time.
     
    Post-start respawns weren't supposed to do more than put you into spectator mode anyway.
