  1. Oh yeh I remember seeing this, glad to see more of the map, looked real good back then too
  2. I asked you to change your name twice, along with two kicks, only for you to come back with the name "Not daesh", which means the same gorram thing. The decision to ban you was made after conferring with another admin. If you had changed your ingame name to something similar to what your forum name is, there would have been no problem and all this could have been avoided.
  3. The stuff I listen to is pretty uh, varied. Electronic, funky instrumental indie stuff, soundtracks of films and games, you name it, I'll give it a listen. I am also starting to learn how to produce my own music, it's a long process, but it's an intense feeling, listening back to what you've made, enjoying it and thinking to yourself "I made that".
  4. Use the scope the RPG should come with then open up the guide and have a play around in the virtual arsenal, different parts of the scope are for the different rockets. Also yeh, zeroing a weapon is for a specific ammo type or caliber, with the likes of rifles you won't get too much difference between ammo types at sub-kilometer ranges, but with big rockets you'll certainly have whack ass trajectories
  5. The PSO-1 is one of the best squad level marksmen scopes I've ever used, the stadiametric rangefinder is a godsend when you need to return accurate fire quickly. The RPG scope is difficult at first but there's a guide floating around on steam that explains it perfectly. As for the light AT, use your swap optics button and you switch from the block sight up top to a rangeable sight, admittedly that sight is difficult to use quickly as you can lose sight picture very easily but it allows for a decent range, 250-300m if memory serves. For combating the M1, use the RPG with the tandem heat warheads, their range is limited but they will mess the tank up. All in all, don't just give up on playing russians, learn how to use their equipment effectively and it can be tremendous fun
  6. People do that anyway if they're close enough to them, at the speeds a kart would be doing around a corner they'd maybe get the prompt and their brain would be able to process it just after their flaming corpse has flipped out the track. There's a difficulty setting to disable the on screen highlighting of mines though, so no red triangles, just your fleshy seeing-spheres to tell you where they are.
  7. Not strictly EU3 but relevant enough anyway. Don't let the title and thumbnail fool you.
  8. Depending on whether the NM variant is included, this things rotor blades are rated to take a 30mm shell direct hit and remain intact, the cockpit glass is bulletproof up to 14.5mm rounds and it has a selection of guided warheads ranging from; HEAT, thermobaric and expanding rod (A2A), a whole host of fancy FCS stuff to play with, a comprehensive HUD for the crew to see all they need to know about the aircraft mid flight and potentially laser guided S series rockets. All in all this craft is gonna cause a lot of havoc before being shot down when they show up.
  9. I remember the times I stepped up to PLT co for the first few times, most of them ended in horrible recreations of WW1, but the one where I organised an attack on a radar instillation by the Balota airfield is one of my finest plans, using an open topped HEMMT, a chinook and the length of the runway down there to get the trucks heading just right. We ended up going at about 200 kmph down that runway before slowing down to sane speeds, the fact the front of the truck didn't dig in and flip us over to die was a miracle.
  10. I didn't rescue him, I got nailed by an RPG as I tried to lift off and ended up careening into the commentators box, killing me as the choppers controls died around me. Good banter though. The return trip was hilarious, using a gmg humvee to bombard the stadium so we could land and grab him
  11. If some people lost the stigma they had towards vanilla gear that'd be nice, I prefer the 6.5mm stuff compared to the regurgitated AR15 looking things so the fact I can't take them despite the role weapon list has them down is a tad annoying. As for improving toxicity, couldn't say, I don't normally get hurt or annoyed if someone calls me whatever, sticks and stones and all that. People willing to take some responsibility more often would be good, allow the people who normally have to take ASL or PLT Co to play something else if they wanted too.
  12. The scream that got me booted out the house for the night (the one at the very end): My glorious cock up with AFM in a viper: Remember kids; don't ask questions: And the old classic:
  13. The new ghost recon had a similar thing in it's trailer I've pre-ordered apex and already played around with the stuff, really liking the direction Arma has gone, much to the disagreement of about 80% of the community but heyho. Only so many games I can play where I'm some apple pie loving yank toting an AR15 derivative before I'm completely bored of the character concept. Given the design choice of the latest gauntlet versions to remove anything to "futuristic" I doubt we'll see any of the Apex content though. Not to mention how BI is handling dlc assests now, where a single apex item in an otherwise all vanilla mission will require you to have apex before you can play it
  14. I mean if we're worried about repo size with removing CUP and supplementing RHS with a BAF pack then I think that we'll struggle to find one that comes close to CUPs size...
  15. Just filled this out, most of the topics would be good for the new players of eu3 to get to grips with. If you end up needing someone for EOD related things give me a shout, I ran a training mission for that in the past, apart from the server not recognising slots it went fairly well

    New website logo

Here's my submission, nice and simple, scales pretty well And here's an example of it on a black background because transparency and white don't play nice together:
  17. Back when there was an unarmed orca on the server as one of the default helos I would use that exclusively, simply because the lack of flares added a new challenge to the flying of it. I still managed to set her down if not in the ao then certainly close. If you're finding AA to be a problem, approach it in a different way, fly low to the ground, don't tke idiots suggestions as gospel for LZs, that kind of thing
  18. The passworded EU3 channel is a throw-over from TFAR when non-connected people could be heard, with ACRE that's no longer the case, non-connected's can talk to each other and be deafened by the 20+ people that are usually in the channel but the connected players don't hear what they say. As for the point, it's an extra hurdle for the regulars to get over whenever they want to play and typing out the TS channel password every time I connected would be a complete ball ache, more so than the pneumatic ram that smashed mine this morning.
  19. Oh boy april fools stuff, I forgot about this tradition for free to play WW2 games, wonder what war thunder will have
  20. Did you not co-ordinate a charge to the vehicles? You could have ran them over or used their weapons if they work in base. Failing that plop down some BLUfor automated HMGs, they work well but they will shoot at teamkillers as they aren't classed as being on the same faction
  21. Apart from it being played to death when it was last out? And the not so great FPS in the one city? And the fact nearly every other AO spawned outside the one interesting place on the map? Nothing really
  22. I mean that's pretty flawless, if they can't play then how can they break the rules? We've done it lads, we've found the cure to EU3
  23. Noice, signed up, short of any horrific train collisions on Friday I'll be there
  24. Which is the main reason it was removed in the first place. The inability for the mooks in a squad to see the plan laid out does mean that the SL (and subsequently the fireteams TLs) have to pass information down the chain so it's not all cut and dry. An average grunt isn't going to be able to check his map and see all the handy little marks made by the platoon commander on how he wants a town to be assaulted. The mook needs to be told the plan of attack using visual cues on the map, follow this valley, cross this road, assault down this street, etc, etc. The fact this is such an issue indicated there needs to be more communication between the leaders and the followers in how plans are carried out.
