I managed to make quite a bit of headway today, more than I thought I would be able to anyway! Following on from my previous post (http://www.ahoyworld.co.uk/topic/4603-ahoy-subscriptions-phased-out/) the new donation system is now up and running properly. A note for Ahoy+ subscribers with active subscriptions, when your subscription expires it will most likely remove the Donator forum group from you (TS unaffected) and you will need to let a core staff member know so we can reapply it. This is unfortunately out of our control due to the old Ahoy+ setup as this is all automated.
 
To use the new donation system simply click on the "Donate" tab at the top of the website, click on the PayPal donate button, follow the process and then enter your PayPal transaction ID on this page: http://www.ahoyworld.co.uk/index.php?app=groupjoin&module=apply&section=apply&do=apply&group=7
 
You should be directed to this page after you finish your transaction but just in case it doesn't it's at the top of the website under Donate>Register Donation

I'll add a few cents, pretty much as Raz said, 
the Logi is a good starter or the Thrustmaster X, stay away from the pos Saitek / Madcatz cyborg fly 5 / x they break as quick as you look at them, had 2 and both had dodgy trigger wires and rudder twist only registered half of a left turn 
 
Add some pedals at a later date (although they are a must have for Helo's in my book, twisty just doesn't cut it will never go back)
then upgrade as you go, The TM Hog is a hefty investment but worth it too and you can get it between your legs for stability or exten it to the floor
 
I've sourced the parts to do a similar to below mod just need to get the time and courage to break apart my €400 piece of kit to do it
 

Played a few games on the server way back in Armadale 2 era then went away from PC for a while, came back to Armadale just before 3 went alpha playing mostly 2 in vanilla and some wasteland servers, 3 went alpha and while perusing servers remembered Ahoy from the past, started playing with them, making a pest of myself helping out both the experienced and incompetent with setting up stuff and sometimes writing a mission or 2wo, was asked to be admin a couple of time but refused as hadn't got the time, third time asking though I jumped at the chance and enjoying it, good cohesive bunch of people both staff and players both regular and new great community long may it sail.

Unfortunately, it's not easy to find ways to incentivise AW+ membership without it being game breaking or perceived as too unfair to the other players.
 
I believe there's still a suggestions forum open, but so far not even the subs themselves have been able to come up with something appropriate; which is of course unfortunate as the AW community would undoubtedly love to see more + subs to help with the continual operating costs. (All hail the admins paying out of pocket.)
 
At the end of the day, it's really about showing appreciation for the service being provided. As for myself, it's really no worse on the wallet than my HBO membership. I consider it money well spent.

if you want imersion you could alway convert something like this to a .paa and add it to line 96 of the ClientInit .sqf within the mod

Are you using the play with six version (judging by your folder structure it shows you might be) 
if so it's most likely a different version to what we have up at the moment, your best off either trying to find and match with our version or use the one form our repository

Some newer textures in there, winter is lovely imo, and there are some new runway, taxiway & FARP textures added too
 
I've added all the mods into one folder so only need to activate one file rather then several,
the F-16 pod fix is kept out separate so it can deactivated for MP sessions, 
I dropped the mod for the F-86 nukes & aim 9's i couldn't get it to work anymore

Ahhh yeah had to change it the mods stopped working after last patch, I'll update a newer set once I get my pc back online sometime this or next week,

I'm guessing yo are talking about this allowed mods page.
Have you downloaded them using Arma3Sync or did you do it the hard and painful manual way?

If you didn't do it using Arma3Sync I'd suggest you delete all your mods and follow this guide to install them using Arma3Sync, just keep in mind not to use the Modded, but the Official repository - unless you intend playing on the superior modded server anytime soon.
 
If you encounter more problems, feel free to hop on the teamspeak - there should be plenty of people there - especially Field Ambassadors (green flag) - willing to help you find a solution.
