David reacted to Lone in EU #3 Tutorials
HI, I made an EU #3 Basic tutorial, watch this space as more tutorials, especially leadership / Role specific ones to follow.
I will also add, in brief here for new players, log onto Teamspeak, and then join the server, the TFAR Plugin will move you into the EU #3 channel as you load in. If your in game and not in the right channel, in TS go to settings - plugins and then re-load all.
Here is a link to the loadouts I use, as exported by the arsenal : https://docs.google.com/document/d/1FdtX6r3ANBXEb-2d7AoXKzMGfIwISNCMe1zCTIfrvng/edit?usp=sharing
How to Eu#3 Basic -:- https://youtu.be/_2rKh3kVXLw
How to Role Select -:- https://youtu.be/6LaAEnJryvs
How to Teamplay -:- COMING SOON
How to Radio -:- COMING SOON
How to Team and Squad Lead -:- COMING SOON
How to Platoon Command -:- COMING SOON
How to Medic -:- COMING SOON
How to HAT + MAT -:- In consideration
How to MMG -:- In consideration
How to Logistics -:- In consideration
How to Pilot -:- In consideration
How to Vehicle Crew -:- In consideration
Other specialist roles?
At this moment in time (as well as helping VERY new players) I'm looking for recommendation's on the format, quality and help from anyone and everyone on writing scripts, and recording footage for role specific stuff, especially roles I'm really not proficient in myself (Marksman, MAT, Hammer etc).
Thanks in advance for any and all help,
Lone.

David got a reaction from lexota in AhoyWorld Summer Meetup 2016!
Hello all, this is a first for us as a community, some of the admins are meeting up for the weekend next summer in Leeuwarden, Netherlands, and you’re invited too! Why there? We have a wide user base across Europe and there is a higher concentration in the Netherlands, it also has great transport links to Amsterdam International Airport which is only 1.5hrs drive away. Oh and we have one of our generous members who offered us a very good deal on accommodation and hospitality!
When is it? Friday 15th July 2016 - Monday 18th July.
Where is it? Here! It’s a very nice resort on the lakeside in the North of Holland, we are very lucky!
So what, we all go there and sit awkwardly around a table wondering where we went wrong in life?
No, of course not! I have written up an itinerary because, well, if we don’t then it’s going to be chaos.
Friday: All Arrive.
Saturday morning: Go-karting!
Saturday afternoon: Various activities around the campsite (there’s all kinds of stuff like archery, biking trails, canoeing etc. or sit back and chill for the rest of the day.
Saturday evening: Community meeting at the onsite restaurant. We have our own room!
Sunday: Paintballing!
Monday: All depart.
To attend this event it is only €210, this includes the activities highlighted above, three nights accommodation, paypal fees and also includes any unexpected costs that we may be expected to pay. This price does not include travel to or from the event nor does it include any food or additional expenses incurred, food is kindly provided at cost by the site restaurant. If there is a surplus at the end of the event, this will be redistributed as a rebate. Any additional expenses will be handled amongst staff and will not be taken from the donation fund.
All members of AhoyWorld are invited to attend this event and we think it’s fantastic value for money. Please remember this area is not tailored to nightlife and therefore will be no loud/late night parties or related behavior.
Here’s a “virtual tour” type thing, if you like: http://www.viadrupsteen.nl/itwiid/#/It Wiid luchtBolfoto 1/Default
If you would like to attend please book as early as possible (like right now if you can), we are unable to reserve any accommodation that is not yet booked, when it’s gone, it’s gone, there isn't anything we can do about that. Due to our booking system we will not be able to offer a refund after the places have been booked however, if we are able to, we will. We estimate the latest you will be able to book is the end of January, we cannot guarantee this however so book as soon as you can!
To book simply click the "book now with/without accommodation" button and fill out the GDoc presented after fulfillment.

If you need any help with organising travel, I found mycheapflights.com very helpful and easy to use. If you're travelling from the UK there are various ferries available.
Dover-Calais
Dover-Dunkirk
Harwich-Rotterdam (I'm using this one)
Hull-Rotterdam
Newcastle-Amsterdam
Anywhere else, use google maps. It's not usually far wrong!
Talking of travel, if you're in/around the route from Portsmouth to Harwich & Rotterdam to Leeuwarden I can give you a ride. I'm passing through Amsterdam Airport around 09:30 for anyone thinking of flying.

It's only a thousand Canadian dollars for me to fly to Amsterdam. About €6.50, right?

Seems nice.
Is it possible to pay with Ahoycoins?

We left it open for a reason, if any topics like this crop up I like to let them run their course. Of course we've had to unlock it a few times for admins who didn't realise

Hats off to whoever updated it with the french flag colours, it's a really nice touch/tribute on the servers behalf. Too all of the ahoyworld users in france stay safe

David got a reaction from DakimDragco in Is the admins on this site immature and bad
The answer to my response is simple, if you show us disrespect and no care, why should I? You hold a door open for me, I hold it for you, only you slammed it in our faces.
The owner of our site even went as far as to send you an explanation in a private message afterwards, very few places will have done that.

David reacted to kennychr in Valiant alpha test
Introducing: AW_Valiant
So what is this Valiant you speak of ?
Valiant is the natural "Evolution" of Gauntlet as in a lot of stuff could be done
better in gauntlet coding and performance wise in the back-end and instead of
just rehashing and doing stuff to Gauntlet code i decided to just start fresh.
This resulted in a back-end that is in 90% of the cases hassle free to port to a
map as it doesn't rely on preplaced markers etc for missions spawns as it now uses
functions to find different areas etc.
Hopefully this "start from scratch" approach has worked out some
of the quirks Gauntlet had.
It also is alot more modular in terms of settings when you start the mission,
arsenal, spectator etc. are all definable in mission params in the role select lobby.
Okay... cool, so is there anything new ?
Yes! Theres is now side missions running alongside the main missions, there is emplacements
of various kinds(in this alpha it will only be running AAA emplacements).
And im also looking into some other stuff that is still TBA.
Sweet so what should I do ?
I'm stress testing the mission for 2X players this coming date: 13-11-2015 @ 1900GMT
and I need you to put you'r name in this FORM
The first 2X players that sign up is going to get to play and will be briefed about
different aspects before we step off
I hope to see a good turnout for this small stress test of Valiant. -
David reacted to Plant1ing in Near miss in Kavala
I haven't even noticed that thingy, I swear! I needed to watch 3 times to see that Darter is between my cockpit and top side of the wing. I'd say we are sharing intimate air-space there. Now, Imagine it was pink or purple Buzzard... It would be majestically Fly-by then.
