JANXOL reacted to SkullCollector in [Guide] ACE Advanced Medical (2020 Rework)
Hello and welcome to the revised ACE Medical Guide: 2020 Edition.

This guide aims to be a comprehensive resource for the dedicated medic; to steel yourself with knowledge first so that you can hone it in combat. It will send you on a journey to become the best medic you can be.
It does not offer panacea. That's just called a packing bandage. It does offer the basis you need to understand the inner and outer workings of ACE Medical with an attempt to dispel some common myths.

You can find two proven sample loadouts at the very end of the document, as well as a spreadsheet with all the data there is about bandages.

For an easier read, here it is on Google Docs.

The GDoc is always going to be the most up-to-date version, but if you prefer PDF, here you are:
The PDF is now very much outdated. I will update it with the 2.4 revision, which will include a flowchart and procedure.

JANXOL reacted to JaSmAn in "Play your Role"
The clue is in the definition of "role", which according to that so infrequently used tool called the dictionary is: the position or purpose that someone or something has in a situation

Position - where you sit in the hierarchy - obey orders. Don't give them if you're not supposed to.
Purpose - what are you there to do? Do you have the right kit to do it? In other words, let the medics do their stuff, pilots to their stuff, etc. Do what's expected of you and respect what others do.
Situation - Know the mission, know the orders. Adapt accordingly. Play according to the situation. For example, my AT guy gets killed, I'm the Medic, his AT launcher is right there and the BMP that is killing my teammates is within range. Should I, as the medic, shoot the BMP? I think yes, the situation demands it. Does that mean that I as the medic walk around with an AT launcher just in case? No.

JANXOL got a reaction from SkullCollector in AhoyWorld Enhanced - Moving Forward
Wierd. I would imagine those kind of issues would be result of bugs with rhs gear(which there are some, especially since 1.7). Was expecting something like missing equipment or something.
Well I agree its better to remove the mod than deal with these kinds of issues, but I'm hoping project OPFOR will get updated/fixed and reintroduced to the gauntlet. I really like murdering those units.

I have no doubt content creators will update their existing vehicle mods with features from the Jets update, but at this point in time I personally find the Vanilla vehicle additions underwhelming.

As such, it seems to me it would be better to wait for mod updates.

That would be admin/zeus abuse. And then we would be deep in the shit for it.

While I don't like damaging others gameplay on server, I feel that unfortunately sometimes you have to do drastic things on server to get people to listen when they are pissing around. Unfortunately when people are pissing around it ruins other peoples gameplay, often whoever is commanding. In this case origins did something that has woke people up to this fact. I understand why he did it, I've sat people down at debrief, or even half way through a mission and shouted at them for their stupidity. Each commander has their own way of doing things. If this is what it takes to wake people up to this issue on EU3 then I can't say I'm against taking such actions. What needs to be happening is the community needs to help commanders, moderators and staff to show those who piss around, it is not acceptable. It is not something that we can do without players standing up too, or we have to resort to doing things in this kind of way.

On a different note, if we followed the moderator strategy of warn, kick, ban. Then by now I'd say half of the player-base would have been banned for pissing around. And then we would really be accused of abuse.

I'm going to say something unpopular here, and almost ignorant. Somebody has to say it though.
If making you run up and down that runway pissed you off, good. I wouldn't want to make you do it, but quite frankly if that's the only way some of you are going to wake up to the shitfest that is going off, then I am not against it at all. Stop people from pissing around, show them that it is unacceptable, and then this shit wouldn't have to happen.

JANXOL reacted to Liru the Lcpl. in Zeus. I want a discussion!
I've only been here a week but yesterday was my first taste of some Z v P gameplay both on EU 1 and 2, and compared to the other general I and A I found it a more unique approach that I and A doesn’t offer with its missions, such as more chopper insertion usage and buildings with full garrisons and proper positioning of statics and so on. Heck there have been times where I go through an A and I mission but there was clearly a Zeus editing the OPFOR team because of how much more organized the opposition was. For casual and squad ops alike, I felt that it could be more enjoyable for most people (me and everyone else in the TS channel), and hope to see more of it in the future, but…

It’s reasons like this that you cannot have Zeus open to the general public openly on a server. It’ll just promote chaos because you’re practically giving everyone administrative rights to the server in terms of spawning and killing, as well as the ability to  crash the server by overload, so it’s understandable how Spartans and above only are able to Zeus because they are trustable members in the community who have proven trustworthy. It’s a good compromise, but I agree with OP that Zeus missions can be a good way to increase the variability on the EU servers. Take Leutin’s game night for example on EU 4. What if you opened EU 4 up more often with only custom Zeus missions made only when someone who is a Zeus feels like activating it. Zeuses can focus on missions that go above and beyond the scope of I and A (defensive operations, HVT guarding, convoy offensives and defenses, HVT assassinations, Vehicle hunts, etc.), each op having specific rules and guidelines and it can be a little more organized like how game nights are and have a little more structure like EU 3 is.
TL;DR: I strongly agree that we need more Zeus missions, but its up to the AhoyWorld staff on how far they want to take it. There are multiple options, but it’s ultimately up to them! Thanks for reading!

JANXOL got a reaction from Yarys in Ahoy
Greetings people, just registered an account. I should probably introduce myself, so here we go.

I live in Poland, my real name's Jan (John), friends call me JANXOL or Cyanide. I'm a passionate gamer, playing basically anything that's playable, mostly Smite, but I'm also a great fan of strategy games. My other hobbies would include downloading all the mods, which sometimes leads to my ArmA's 60 FPS becoming 60 SPF.

While I'm not new to ArmA franchise, I don't really have experience with organised MP gameplay, but I hope I can get up to speed quickly. Looking forward to playing with you, guys!
