just to give you a headsup we do ban on UID that also means that iff a player gets banned he needs to buy a new copy off Arma before he can play again withouth getting unbanned
Making a new profile wont fix it for them 
 
Also iff there isnt a admin online on that moment you can mostly try to catch us on TS  or on the forum and iff you even supply Shadow play or Screenshots we will handle after the act also

Xeno´s Domination that DESTROYED small coop servers by the 100s,similar to the Gayland and *shrugs* the cursed mission i wont name here do today - i recall similar talks dizzing Xeno for "inventing" Dom and wiping the so called "elite" coop servers
After all,I+A is nothing but a further developed and executed port of Domination as Xeno didnt want anyone to port Dom over to A3 - but look where we are now

having played the "mod" back in the time,it was a ridicoulous small community that grew DAILY by the 100s - updating your modfiles daily to match the newest build and checking out the new features that been implented (the good,the bad and the ugly),waiting forever to connect to a server - in the first 3-4 weeks i played there was VERY LITTLE PvP and we shared groups with 20 people all fighting for the same goal by coincidence - it was one of the greatest gaming experiences i ever had!

Nowadays - and you may already guessed that - i never bothered to purchase GayZ cause after quite a few years in MPgaming you grow a "nose for upcoming BS to stay out of" or maybe just got older and less the killing godess in PvP i was back in my glory nights but i enjoyed my time in the (mod)apocalypse in Chernarus

I agree. I despise DayZ for turning ArmA from a teamwork game to an every man for himself survival type playerbase. No doubt we've got members who bought ArmA for DayZ and it gave BIS a huge cash injection from the huge amount of sales it made. I guess we should see the silver lining.

I wonder since the new kid generation won't know dayZ for what it was if it will stay like this or if the community kind of "resets" in future arma titles. Hopefully...

DayZ, Life, Wasteland are the absolute cancer of gaming. Spawning a huge YouTube disease of troll videos absolutely ruining online gaming because of their 12 yo fanboys. GTA, GMod and ArmA were ruined by those people.

Hey everyone, i just wanted to stop by and say hello. Its been a long time since i have been in game and missed playing arma A LOT!!!!
 
For those of you who do not know me, i started playing with AW around Arma 3 Bata and the Initial full release of arma, but because my computer was too old i could not play the game. So i ended up playing some other games such as Eve Online, Space Engineer's Far cry etc etc. 
 
But i have some good news, because i have been working so much i have a realitivly nice tax return so i plan on upgrading my computer within the next month. Ill be getting a brand new Motherboard, CPU, GPU, and ram, and a new 1 TB hard drive. So i hope the community is going strong and still has room for me. I will hopefully be able to start playing by the end of February at the latest.
 
I REALLY look forward to meeting all of the new community member's/staff, and will be lurking around the forums to introduce myself and get back in the swing of things.

Im 17 Years old, i have a job with a family friend that owns a company that does Home remodling and construction.
 
Ive been playing arma pretty much since arma 1 came out. I think i got it maybe 2 months after it was released and ive been Hooked.
 
What Im Really Good At ( Ingame )
- Good with Communication And leadership.
- Great With Flying mainly because i have alloooootttt of practice in the editor and because i use a logitec G940 And TrackIR 5.  (But i will let you guys determine that 
- Im great with Medic/Heavy Machine Gunner (M249 Saw or in arma 3 the Mk 200)
 
What im Really good at out of game!
 
- Well i love working on websites, i have my own webhost that i use to just mess around with and practice, because i really have nobody that would want to hire a 17 year old to make/maintain a website lol.
- I love scripting, and im trying to teach myself on how to script in arma because ive been playing it for so long but never been able to contribute content and its something i would like to get in to.

Hello, I am CandorChampion. Found your servers while looking through Arma 3. Jumped in and had a blast.
 
I'm 21 years old, currently living in a small town in Texas. 
 
I don't really do anything for right now besides play video games. I am in the process of enlisting in the USAF as security forces. 
 
Been playing Arma since Arma 2 came out. But I used to play OFP on PC when it came out.
 
Ingame, I am best as a fixed wing pilot or infantry. I can fly helos. But out of practice after leaving my last clan, United BattleGuns (UBG).
As an infantryman, I am best suited with GL's and demolitions.
 
In Realitiy (Such a terrible thing. I know.) 
I am a moderately successful digital artist. I mostly draw anthro furs and on occasion MLP style equines.
I regularly practice with firearms. Both rifle and pistol. Just to shoot mostly and practice for life in the military.
I'm usually on IRC servers just chatting with people and sometimes build and program computers. Don't know too much about scripting. But I want to learn one day.
 
Anyways, If you want to know anything else. Just ask away and I'll answer. See you when our boots hit the ground and yell out, "GET SOME!"

Alright i have cutted you post into bits and will reply to some of it:
1: We strongly advice to be on TS of you are in certain slots like the Pilot, however it is not set in stone, nor is it a requirement, and for sure you will not be kicked out of the slot for the reason you are not in TS. You will be removed out of the slot if you are rubbish and thus hindering the gameplay of others.
2: This is actually a good idea, and we even did this for a while however with our map being downloaded and used on so many servers it confused people and even still we have people logging into TS that are actually playing on a total different server... (And it sometimes makes for very funny situations i can say) I'm guessing this is not the most optimal way to go, and might have to look for other ideas and suggestions.
3: TS will never be a requirement, just a strong advisory. We have many very good pilots that are not on TS, and do everything by text-chat. Also making this a requirement would be discrimination against disabled people not able to use teamspeak for whatever reason.
4: Here you have a valid point. So recently we put the rules up in the forums, and we also came up with some very cool ideas to display these rules in the game, not only in the intro-screen. However as with the influx of expansion we didnt got to it yet.
5: We dont really do that as long as the player is not hindering other players by being a lone wolf. So this already insures you cannot lone wolf on one of the critical slots like pilot or medic for example. AW is a place for everyone to enjoy gaming, and if lone wolf is your thing, and you are not in anyones way, you are happy to play on our servers. We are not a milsim server. Things that do get you booted: ideling and thus taking a slot away from someone that would activly enjoy our server, being stupid and uncooperative.
6: We enforce the rules as they are stated on the forum. We do appriciate any help in enforcing these rules so you are always welcome to report it when you see people breaking these rules, the admin online will then deal with it as he seems fit. After all we cannot possibly see everything always. If however our rules are not strickt enough for you liking: ok sorry but i'm sure you will find you place in arma somewhere. Like state before we are no milsim, and neighter do our members enjoy playing in a prison i guess
7: You are right, we can do with advertising the rules a bit more, and as mentioned before this is planned for the near future.
And as a reply to one of your previous posts in this thread: I do like it when people are actually taking lead, and i can say we have many of them on the server to name just 2 there is Conner and Apollo. It works very well for them and it will be for you too i'm sure of it. However do not expect other people to be exactly the same, This is still public server so you get all sorts of people here, not just people that have signed up for a particular game style (example: realism clan, or the likes)
So expect to encounter followers, leaders, serious players, relaxed players that want a bit of weekend fun and even newbies....yes they also welcome here...
So having that out of the way we can continue this thread on topic please. Above items can be discussed in their own threads if you like.

I agree as far as we do need to come up with more ways to promote squad cohesion but i think that thats at squad level irrespective of the pilots role
 
Ground vehicles need to be more widely used (although i know some players do an awesome job in the hunters particularly savvy medics)
would there be much harm in adding 1 MG armed hunter at spawn rather than just a bonus item
i know id play vehicle patrols more if we had a big gun on it (not the GMG)
 
 
More radio channels/ custom channels would be welcomed as it can get really busy in side channel with :
Banter Firemissions Pilots  Whinging Orders IDIOTS PLAYING MUSIC etc

One minor point of annoyance unless im blind you cannot see what character class/role you are without exiting to the lobby this could cause confusion with newer players particularly if they join at 39 players and the only slot available is something called Haymaker 

Any chance of getting some text or guidelines for playing the roles in the mission briefing on map screen?

I personally do not agree with this. I understand what you are saying but there would be to many pilots. And quite frankly we dont need that many.  With 3-4 pilots that are able to communicate and actually do there jobs then it can work perfectly fine. I do think that 1-2 extra pilot slots should be added. And recently the Ahoy admins have been brought to attention the fact that in the US Server that allot of pilots arent doing there job. So now the admins are gonna be cracking down and making sure that they do there jobs and if they dont the admins will take appropriate action.
