Ahoy+ Subscriptions are now being phased out as part of our efforts to make things better for the users. It is turning into a sole donation system as our services cannot support the perks that the Ahoy+ system promises. Instead, anybody who makes any donation to the running costs of AhoyWorld will be entitled to the current Ahoy+ perks (private forum, exclusive TS channel, forum flair & slot priority etc.) as a thank you from us. Anyone who has donated or subscribed since November 2014 will be entitled to the new system, it will not however be instant as all are processed manually, if you have donated or subscribed in the past please message me your transaction ID and I'll add you. When this new system goes live you will need to send a form to the admins with your transaction ID so we can crosscheck them, this however shouldn't take too long, if it takes longer than expected then razgriz33 or I should be able to help. The new system should be fully functional by the 9th of November.
 
I have an active subscription, can I get my money back? Not automatically, message me with your transaction ID and I'll send you a refund.
 
I donated before November 2014, why can't I get involved? Due to our account records we can only go back as far as November 2014. If however we have other records to indicate you donated/subscribed before that date we will use them.
 
I've not got this new status yet, why not? All donations are processed manually, if by 14th November you haven't received your new group then message me.
 
I wanted to take out an Ahoy+ subscription, can I still do it? No you can't, however feel free to use the donation system on the homepage or the forum as this will be equally as valid and earn you the same perks.

I managed to make quite a bit of headway today, more than I thought I would be able to anyway! Following on from my previous post (http://www.ahoyworld.co.uk/topic/4603-ahoy-subscriptions-phased-out/) the new donation system is now up and running properly. A note for Ahoy+ subscribers with active subscriptions, when your subscription expires it will most likely remove the Donator forum group from you (TS unaffected) and you will need to let a core staff member know so we can reapply it. This is unfortunately out of our control due to the old Ahoy+ setup as this is all automated.
 
To use the new donation system simply click on the "Donate" tab at the top of the website, click on the PayPal donate button, follow the process and then enter your PayPal transaction ID on this page: http://www.ahoyworld.co.uk/index.php?app=groupjoin&module=apply&section=apply&do=apply&group=7
 
You should be directed to this page after you finish your transaction but just in case it doesn't it's at the top of the website under Donate>Register Donation

I joined A3 in the first week of alpha, and one day an AW server appeared in the server list, never played another server since

I first started playing Arma 3 when it was in Alpha with just a small group of friends, most of them drifted away from AhoyWorld because it wasn't what they were looking for, I on the other hand enjoyed my experience and decided to hang around a bit longer to see what it was really all about.
 
After a week playing I found the website and decided to sign up for my first AhoyWorld gamenight, what happened next was probably the main reason I stuck around and am still here today. The gamenight in question was the birth of the infamous "AhoyWorld Customer Service" recorded message, it was after that night I realised this was a group of guys I could have fun with, regardless of whether we were even playing any games. 
 
About three months in I was invited to become an Admin and graciously accepted. Nine months or so after that (almost 1 year to the date of me joining the community) I was then invited to join the ranks of the Core Staff. Of course it is a big step up in responsibility from Admin but I took the plunge and once again accepted the invitation. As the final right of passage into Core Staff-hood, not long after promotion, I got a full time job which rarely allows me to be around during the busiest times anymore. 
 
2 years on I can say with 100% confidence this is the best community I could have ever been fortunate enough to join and be accepted into, here's to another 2 years!

Welcome to my ban-sync you are automatically banned from all our servers in less then 60sec so gone in 60sec for real, hahaha

yup, and remember to stay calm, if you start team-killing in such situation because you think it wont matter anyway.....Well your wrong, because all admins are on their tiptoes during a hacker-spree so you are likely to draw negative attention to yourself and be kicked too....
 
Just try to continue playing and\or wait it out in patience. These script kiddies like the chaos they are creating, so if you just stay calm it will be less fun for them, and they might stop sooner to move on to the next server.
 
Just bare with us, we should have more protection (battle-eye) when Beta goes live !

Firstly congratulations, you have made more of an effort than half of those before you.

Secondly while not impossible to do via notepad it is very easy to get something wrong unless you have experience with this tedious system we know and love.

I would concurr with Dave, it's better for what you want to do for now and in the long run. Should you need any further help following this up try Google failing that we're a friendly bunch. Bang an email to raz at AhoyWorld dot CO dot UK
