Actually yes, there was a miscommunication over the teamspeak bans as we had planned to talk to them before dropping the hammer and it was me who was out the loop on that. The actions from them in the aftermath have been rash and obstructive, we clearly explained why we did what we did, everyone is welcome to start their own community and play in both communities, it causes a problem if you link directly to the other one covertly, that is foul play and those who got banned shouldn't be upset that they got caught out, calling us hitlers for actually enforcing our rules is just childish. We haven't banned anyone who is innocent. I asked them if it would be okay to do the same thing and link to 77th JSOC (for an example, we have no beef with them) and they refused to answer so that just leaves me to believe that they thought because it was a small community we would let them advertise.

@SirMurficus this is certainly what we strive for but in a community of this size we can only get so far and we can't please everyone unfortunately, but we try. It is unfortunate but cliques develop and they split, it happens to all communities and if their community is successful it will happen to them too and they'll be unjustly called hitlers, it is how it works unfortunately.

Short nights, long days and >900km in just 24 hours, but well worth it.

Too bad there weren't more members. An airsoft/paintball-event with just AW members would probably be even more interesting than what we already had. (And maybe more fair)

As you're most likely aware we had our very first public AhoyWorld meetup last weekend, myself, @Bloo Flar3, @Dingo, @Gamerhero, @PiranhA attended with @Eagle-Eye arriving Saturday evening for Sunday. We had an awesome time both on Saturday and Sunday with Go-karting and Airsoft. We all arrived on Friday and had a tour of the park before collecting keys to the bungalow at 3, we ended up with a really nice spot overlooking the water.

View from the restaurant, there's a little ferry that goes over to the other side for €1, a really nice little village with some more nice restaurants.

Here's our bungalow, it's not much to look at from the outside but inside it was really nice and surprisingly spacious.

For go-karting we didn't have enough people to make a race out of it so we all had two sets of 24 minutes to set our fastest times, although it wasn't a race it was still really great fun trying to catch each other. The fastest times ended with Dingo in 1st with a time of 43.27, myself just 0.08 seconds behind with 43.35, Gamerhero with 43.95, Piranha with 44.34 and Blooflar3 with 44.85. The track was indoor but made great use of the space with a modest upper section ending in a long banking turn. There are plenty of videos of this place on youtube. Huge amount of fun!

After the Saturday go karting we headed back to the park, ate and waited for Eagle-Eye to arrive after a 4 hour drive a long work day. We went out the next morning for a long day of airsoft playing multiple different games throughout the day, very tiring but a huge amount of fun. Having only played airsoft in woodland before and with 0.20g BBs I'd been saying airsoft doesn't hurt, well this was CQB and using 0.25g BBs, Dingo came out looking like he had chicken pox.  Despite that it was still great fun. Here's a few pictures from the day: https://www.facebook.com/chapterfourairsoft/photos/?tab=album&album_id=1734571990138563

All in all it was an awesome weekend, the weather held out and everyone had a really enjoyable time. I'm already planning one for next year which will be around the same time, I'm looking at the 7th to the 10th but nothing is set in stone yet, if you want to come and you do have a preference on dates please PM me!

Last night I built something I'd always wanted to make since the Tanoa island was available, everything is as smooth as can be and can be driven at top speed in the hatchback sport although I'd heavily recommend slowing down on the eastern transition or you'll probably kill yourself. I didn't really make it for any reason than for fun but would you guys want this in I&A?

    Hi there,
try to filter your Arma Serverbrowser for "Ahoy" and they will show up. If that does not work for you you can always try to connect directly to the servers. You can find the IPs on the Frontpage of Ahoyworld.net. Just scroll down to the bottom and you will see the Server widgets, or you can connect to our Teamspeak at ts.ahoyworld.net and look the IPs up in the channel descriptions of the Server you want to join (e.g. EU1, EU2).

    1. Teams should be balanced as much as possible, the server will automatically put you in the relevant slots in the order you connect. You shouldn't move out of those slots unless I can find a way on the night to make it all balance out and friends to play together.

    2. I'm still working on weapons, as it stands it's the MX and Katiba, both 6.5mm although it may likely change.

    3. Current default loadouts are as above for guns, 5 mags of 30 rounds each and 2 smokes.

    4. Communication is another one the jury is out for, a whole TS channel of 30 people all going "oh there's an ene- oh i'm dead". I think I'll probably force the use of direct in game so once they are downed they can't pass information.
