Version 53_100

Ryko has been hard at work to bring Version 53 to the table and this has a few notable background tweaks that build on the progress 52 has made these are: 
1) complete overhaul of OPFOR spawning - modernization and streamlining of code
2) overhaul of ambient AI spawning, with upper limits set against anti-armor and anti-air units. Total upper limit of 7 units
3) fixed OPFOR player faction selection (situation where players couldn't get into their own vehicles)
4) fixed enemy BLUFOR faction bugs (thanks RHS for changing the config names without saying anything)
5) Created a BAF HAT crate in supply depot with 8 Javelin tubes and a CLU
6) Reverted to previous method of vehicle respawn - uses a loop, but is reliable compared to eventHandlers

7) Changed letter naming scheme to Hundreds -  This is to give more headroom and will avoid the letter cap.

This thread is going to be used to see the changelogs of the previous versions of gauntlet and the feedback we have received from them. Feedback will now be given within the thread containing the up to date version number. This is to make it easier for people to see the current version of the mission and should help them see if they are playing on an up to date version of the mission.

Version 53_101 now available on Altis, Fallujah, Takistan and Chernarus (Summer and regular).

 

Change Log:

1) Player roster command now moved to map as a button rather than ACE

2) BAF Vehicle supply crate added to supply pole

3) AK's removed from arsenal for western faction

4) Logi team now has access to all faction arsenal items. DON'T ABUSE THIS: your access is granted purely so you can create custom supply crates for the other teams.

    Taking weapons or items which are not appropriate to your role while in Logi will result in sanctions.

5) Killed enemy units and vehicles automatically despawn after parameter-specified time (default: 3 minutes)

6) Western factions arsenal now includes M72A7 and Stinger as Launcher options for every role. Again, don't abuse this, only take a launcher if your TL/SL requires it.

7) Added a rally point ACE self-action (under "Equipment") for Platoon Commander and Squad leaders. The action allows that player to deploy a rally point in the field so that players may respawn at it for a limited time (15 minutes). After this time there is a 30 minute cooldown before the rally point may be deployed again.

8) The FOB truck has been retired, as it never worked consistently.

9) Revised default medic loadout

Reason is that people were accidentally leaving their group from ACE. However there's a problem that the button isn't showing up on everyone's maps. Next version, I will have it in both places.

I've done that like 10 times yesterday while trying to view the rooster :(

Gauntlet 53_1003 has been released on Altis: 

1) Reworked Ambient AI (again) to fine-tune it
2) ambient air has new mission parameter to adjust amount of enemy air that can spawn (current default is low but it can be totally turned off or increased)
3) added a throttle text interface to show throttle setting for pilots of legacy vehicles
4) mission control board now works (I promise, for reals this time)
5) spawned vehicles fine-tuned to avoid explosions on mission start
6) There's a fancy new marker for the USS Freedom
7) ACEX Headless client module added, but won't do anything until we add HC clients (ambient runs on dedicated HC or server depending on the situation, won't transfer via ACEX HC module)

Gauntlet 53_105 has been released on Altis:

1) additional HC's have been added for full future compatibility with ACEX Headless
2) Fast roping is now restricted to helicopter pilot only (in some vehicles the "prepare fast roping" option may appear for all crew/cargo units, but not the deploy option)
3) trying another fix for the mission control board, hopefully, it works this time
4) removed the initial hintC for server rules, added the forum rules link to the welcome box

5) Dead enemies have weapons again

6) Static Ammo case finally working

@Ryko Can you check enemy Anti-Air settings for gauntlet? I've been flying quite a lot lately and whenever I take a simple Medium CAS Little Bird I find several ZSU's and eventually jets (plural), which seems like an overkill.
