  1. The much deserved critiques from last weeks mission have been taken into account, and I look forward to this being a much more enjoyable experience for all. Also enhanced movement got added as a mod due to popular demand. See you all this weekend!

  3. Been a while since I have done one of these (early summer was the last time), but I am glad to be back and this should be a really great mission. It is inspired by the MW2 mission "The Only Easy Day Was Yesterday". Looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible.

    @mastif0 Well, I can tell you this: You won't be able to play it on any AW server anytime soon because by the sounds of it and some of the assets in the pictures it is way off the AWE mod pack. Also in general for a mission like that to work without zeus, you need a robust spawn system for enemy units which is very hard to code. Possibly reach out to ryko.
  7. @Ryko Why restrict content based on presumptions of non-functionality? It is a whole different story if something doesn't work, but one config error in a massive mod seems like a very small problem and weak justification to hold back a new mod. Also, who knows if this error will ever get fixed and if it does how long until then. Also whenever there is a fix new problems arise especially with large mods. Pook may never be error-free, so are we just not going to use it?
  8. Thanks, @Bartlett, currently working on a 1980s US Army GN. It will have the same type of ironsight and general limitations that came with this one. I will have to talk with karate but hopefully, it will be soon.
  9. @Lindi don't fret about it, we will just have to have fun without you. Also, this mission does require at least a leadership role or two so if anyone who is planning on attending is interested please message me.
  10. Ghost is correct we are just going to be using APEX and AWE. Roles are just first come first serve, very casual with only 2 smallish squads.
  11. To me it is super funny how many times we have talked about this and how little has changed despite changes to the role. People continue to think it is something that is wrong with the role or that it isn't fun to play, this is all wrong. It isn't that the role or the equipment or the perceived lack of fun, it is the people. People just simply don't want to play the role. I am not one to say why this community has a strong dislike for leadership roles in game, but it does. So instead of suggesting arbitrary things to attract people to the role maybe the community should take a look at itself and see what is wrong and how it can improve itself on a personal and group basis. -Ben

Multiple caches, over watches, fire-bases, and depots have been spotted in your patrol route. Infantry resistance along with limited vehicle and mortar support are in the area, friendly CAS is not available. Objectives: Patrol to the West of fire base Zulu and destroy any enemy positions. Return safely to Patrol Base Zulu. Notes: Respawning and Reinserts will be done by a squad-spawn system, where the player is able to spawn on his SL in the field. Equipment is time accurate to the best of the abilities of the current mod pack (weapons, optics, body armor, and radios are very limited) Also this conflict is fictionalized as I am not sure of the history of the Vietnam War and the Paracel Islands.   19. @kman There isn't a real limit to Zeus. I make my own missions basically from the ground up, so in theory I can have how ever many slots as I want. And second as for experience it is honestly just best to get fimilar with Zeus in the editor and then host your own GN to give it a go. Just start out conservative. -Ben
