    Hi all!

     

    Since Transport Fever was released a few of us have been taking turns generating map seeds and taking turns in tackling the map. It's great fun!

    Just finished putting together a big upgrade to mine although I carried a lot of parts across. I went to scan with a motherboard bundle, it was only marginally more expensive than getting the parts individually and they do all the gritty stuff such as the overclock and the putting the cooler on the processor (I hate doing that).

     

    Mobo: Asus Maximus VIII Formula

    CPU: i7 6700k OC @ 4.6GHz

    CPU Cooling: H100i V2

    Graphics card: Zotac GTX 1080

    RAM: 16gb Corsair Vengeance LPX Black 3000mhz

    SSD: M.2 NVMe Samsung 950 Pro

     

    That's just the headlines, but I also went gung ho for RGB lighting and a perspex side to the case (audio synced lighting is awesome). I modified the H100i that came with two 120mm Noctuas pushing from underneath and moving the two 120mm corsair fans from bottom to top providing a proper flow through the radiator. I reinstalled windows on the m.2 and a select few games, they now load insanely fast!

    No there isn't specific rule on names, but there's plenty in the general rules section so take your pick. Here's another admins opinion (mine): I agree with the banning admin.

    Hi David,

     

    I support this admin report function but I doubt will be using this at all, personally. I trust that all our current admins are fair and competent.

     

    We, frequent patrons of AW, should play our part too; by playing to the rules.

    Of course that is the aim, but over the past week we've had people claiming that we exercise censorship when we don't like what we hear, that we threaten to ban people who ask how to become an admin and many other things, admittedly the claims are from rather unreliable sources but adding this system allows any members who do see something an outlet to report it as everyone who has talked to me will know that's definitely not what I am about. The system will also act as a self policing method as if those actions are occurring then they'll know they could be reported if they continue. All admins have supported the idea however so that should tell you something ;)

    Following the events that unfolded during the last week with numerous allegations flying around about members of our admin team I have been working this week to bring you all a way to anonymously report any actions of our admin team that you believe crosses the line. We pledge our allegiance with you our members, and long may that continue but you need to report it right after the fact! To show this, here is the poll we had in the admin forums, the admins were all 100% in favour 11 votes to 0!

    I collected the meetup money into the AW account, moved into into my bank account as that's the only way to actually use it. I issued refunds from my bank account and then issued a refund from the AW account that couldn't be done from the bank account. So that makes AW down the money and my account up, so I transferred from my account to the AW account using the donation method as it's quicker.

    Actually that was me, trying to balance the books over the meetup cancellation refunds so that money already belonged to AW. I withdrew the money into my account that the people who were attending had paid forgetting three had pulled out, I refunded two from my bank account and then refunded the other from the AW paypal and added to the AW paypal from my bank account, it's just easier to do from the donation system.

    The problem with Sync is that it needs to find the file directory C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_65. However, when I looked into this issue, all I had in that directory was a jre1.8.0_101 and jre1.8.0_60. So, all I did was just copy the _101, and renamed it jre1.8.0_65. Sync booted right up without a problem after that and has not repeated the issue.

     

    Do not copy the _60 folder, as that does not have all the required files; only _101 will.

     

    If you haven't resolved the issue, I hope this helps.

    Trolls and fps problems are two different things.

     

    Trolls on the one hand are preventable and are being sorted out by admins so you could say that its an AW sided thing to do. Bad admins, more trolls. Good admins, no trolls.

    The fps thing is a bit different tho. The fps drops and the game crashes sound like its a user sided problem so unfortunately there is nothing AW could do to prevent that especially considering the fact that you seem to be the only case. Maybe you could reduce your settings a bit? Is this only happening on the AW multiplayer server or are there other servers where you encounter this problem too?

    Let's not go all in and say "bad admins", there are a huge amount of factors that affect whether there are trolls around or not.
